I've only got characters on Virtue... If I remade one to be in this would that work? (new char would have difficulty traveling and such...)
Atlas is a big place? Is there a more specific place to meet? Atlas statue, base portal, etc?
And do you only want 1 female or at least one? Any other preferences on types of characters?

I don't (and haven't) play any other MMOs so this is just wild speculation but perhaps the amount of customization is what keeps this smaller than others? If you can't get your character to look how you want it to then you need artists... When you have the power to get it almost exactly how you want then perhaps some just settle for that or screenshots?? Just a guess...
Plus, there are lurkers out the wazoo here! Every now and again we lure one out but there's hundreds of them out there... Thousands... Millions!!!! -

This is why 90+% of the time I do not team.
Sure, I'm just a natural loner anyway, like to do things at my own pace and in my own way, but I have occasionally been tempted to team up to try a task force so I could experience it or get whatever...
But then I remember how often I see threads like this.
I'm still relatively new to the game and by far most used to tankers and scrappers.. So I don't know how every different build should be played to maximize it's benefit, I don't know the INS and outs and all the slang and tactics etc etc etc... And since threads like this make me so reluctant to team, well I guess I'll never learn them either.
Team leaders can kick whoever they want, they get that power for running the team. They can have public arguments about it in game and then take it to the boards later - why not? I have no real problem with any of it...
Just, you know, don't be complaining later on down the line about it being hard to find or make teams. There would be at least one more person to join up on occasion if it wasn't so high stress and likely to lead to being kicked and made the subject of public ridicule... Sure, maybe the name wasn't used here but since it was public in game for a while I would guess one could find out if they cared... *shrug*
Anyway, like I said, I have no problem with the OP's actions per se... Just understand that some of those turning down offers to join a team are doing so at least in part because they don't want to be the subject of your next post. -

Well Rednames being involved would definitely negate a lot of what I said, at least for their auctions
As for non redname "names" on the forum I would never otherwise get to play with? Errr, ok? *shrug*
Obviously people can and do have different views on things but I just wouldn't be interested in hanging with someone just because their active or popular on the forums. And if there is "no chance" for me to get to play with them in any other way then I'll assume they just don't play very often or are snobs... And I'll cry about missing out on my one big chance.
But to be clear, even without red or big names, I think this could be a fun, cool thing... My main point was just that I think the possible benefits should be made more clear. -

Interesting concept but I must admit that the point of "buying" someone is kind of hard to see...
Thinking about it I can see some potential reasons such as showing newbies the ropes, exploring areas your unfamiliar with and such but at the same time those all seem like things newer players would need and they'd have the hardest time coming up with the starting bids...
My one suggestion that may help would be to get a couple of the people being auctioned off to post and state just what services they think they could best provide... "I'm extremely knowledgeable about IO's and builds and would be happy to help you plan out your new character" or "I have all the badges available and would love to take you on a tour of the harder to find locations" type things...
This may help build interest because I must admit at first I was just like errr, so I get to pay to have a friend for a few hours??? But if you do a better job of explaining the possibilities this could be a fun diversion

He responded that he'd adjust it if I liked, that the costume had him thinking in terms of a corset so perhaps that was what seemed off to me. Then he finished by asking "the torse and everything is correct, she just needs smaller breasts?". (paraphrasing from memory)
So it seemed to me that he really saw no problem with the anatomy but just felt I wanted smaller boobs on her... I decided that if he couldn't see the problem still that there was little point in just having breast reduction arts done... Yeah, maybe I could have pressed the point and eventually got him seeing what I saw as the problem but... 1) I'm lazy and gave up on it 2) it was advertised basically as quickie commissions so I didn't really expect major changes and 3) I figured if he still didn't see the problem that any corrections he did were unlikely to fix them.
All in all, I consider commissions to be a gamble to a certain extent... You can look over the artists (selected) history to try to make smart bets but you never really know for sure what your getting until you get it. I just decided to write this one off as a losing bet.
NOTE: I am NOT trying to disparage this artist or his willingness to make changes. Like I said, I gave up rather than press the issues I had with this piece... And his art in general does not have such obvious flaws... -
Yay for gift arts!
Back near Christmas time, the Bayan Knights on dA had a promotion where if you were watching their group and commented on their journal, you would get gift arts from one of them...
MiliescentCurse did mine. Initially it was a full body pic of Fenian (it's a few pages back now) which she said she was going to color... It was a nice pic and it was a cool promo the Bayan Knights did...
Anyway, she never did color the pic and since it was gift art I certainly wasn't going to complain, but a few days back she shows me a new WiP... Not the coloring of the old pic but a new bust shot! *And not to disparage the other pic, but the new one, imo, is much much better...

I think fen looks really sweet and cute here, yet still like she's not going to take any crap
Btw, if anyone has any critiques and or suggestions for her I'll pass them along... She asked me for mine but I'm much better at enjoying arts than nitpicking them
