Yeah, been meaning to mention the headshots are great Luckily I was able to get in on 'em back before he closed...

As for the coloring job, it's looking pretty darn good. My one question though - Is he supposed to be so purple in the face? I only know the character through arts and I don't recall him being so purple but it's your character and your colors so I'm wondering if it's the correct skin tone or part your still working on?

This latest is by Blewh and is unfinished, he'll be coloring it as well. Blewh is the artist who colored my androsm pieces (Caemgen in graveyard, Fenian in alley and Alpha busting up the Crey sign...) I don't think a background was included in the original offer but when he offere I certainly wasn't going to decline I have him about a dozen screenshots to choose from and he chose this which I think works perfectly with the scene and it's nice to have such a tie in to the game in the art...

#2 I see what your getting at here but don't think it's an issue I would have thought about if not pointed out... I think the overall pic screams fire and being a big picture guy that works for me . Though, if I was quizzed and there was money on it... I may have guessed electric due to that, and because I'd have assumed it was a trick question

The Denby piece is pretty cool... Though I always dig his style.

The Mr-Author piece is an odd style but I like it, definitely works for that pic and I'm going to have to check out more of his stuff when I can...

I think I already mentioned I think Heroid did a great job on that piece... I always like his work but that's one of the best yet I've seen by him.

Kids definitely got some talent there... Very cool arts no matter his age.

I really like those 3 but I think they could use a little something so I'm sure I'll get them colored up eventually... Probably go with my old reliable stanby if he has the time when I decide to get them done...

The following were done by alt-territory who just opened up for commissions recently and I was able to sneak in and be his first customer Not sure being "his" first customer is as good as being "hers" but I'll take what I can get!

a-t was great to work on for these pics, kept in constant contact, was always looking for input and more than willing to make changes/adjustments when needed. I think he'd still be working on Caem's horns if I was still asking him to but I realize more and more how much of a pita they are and I'm thus willing to settle for close enough so I stopped asking after a couple whacks at it.

I'd seriously suggest you put him on your watch list, I have a feeling his stuff will just keep getting even better for a while Anyway, he claims these look even better in real life than scan... Can't wait to find out!

I love the pose and the look on Caemgen's face - So many people want him to be scowling and all mean looking! lol... Most times I think this would be much more appropriate (unles in the midst of a fight) as he'd really rather just be hanging out, eating pizza and reading a good sci fi book...

I'm really digging the fog/smoke swirling around in the Alpha pic... Taking another look at it I think it's a bit...errr, something? pose wise... I'm guessing he's taking a giant step over something. But whatever, it highlights the rocket boot and I love my rocket boots!! (Seriosly, will not make a new Alpha toon without a rocket boot recipe waiting for him!)

And I just absolutely LOVE the Fenian pic!! She always comes out best but I suppose it's because everyone likes drawing chicks The magic power swirly thing around her hand is an awesome touch by the artist!

Anyway, like I said, you should definitely put him on watch. He doesn't have a ton of stuff on his DA page yet but I'm pretty sure what he adds will be pretty cool...

Wassy - yea, I've never had anyone complain about my set up but this latest piece has really shown how useful it would be... I'd held off a bit cause Fen had several costumes and because there were a couple things I wanted to leave up to the artists view but I think I got that all finalized now anyway and Fen is down to one basic outfit... Plus, if anything, the newest notes are even longer...

Neko - wow, her sheets really are quite cool!! Darn you for teasing me with such when she's not open!! Grrrrrr...

Alrighty folks, I need a reccomendation or three...

Working on my latest commission I've come to realize I have just too many changes in my characters from the screenshots to keep relying on screenshots and notes for references... I need to have some awesome character references drawn up!!

I've been watching on DA and poking around occasionally to try to find someone who is really good at them but have yet to find someone who really seems to do top quality ones. I suppose I could send a few notes out to people who are great at other arts and ask them if they'd do them but I figured I'd ask here first and see if anyone knows anyone in particular... So, any suggestions??

Don't know what bug was up their butt but I actually quite enjoyed this!

Ok, true.. It is not a full blow, fleshed out, comprehensive story but it's a very good snippet for introducing the main character and getting the reader interested in her. And I love the scene of her batting away at the clockwork pests who are tearing apart her ship, I could totally envision that scene in my head and it is quite amusing!

As for the original responder, you shouldn't give them a second thought. Some people enjoy pissing on other peoples parades since that is all they have to offer... Anyway, if you continue this please give me a heads up as I almost never descend into this part of the forums but don't want to miss future installments!

Hmmm, maybe I'm just a sucker for new styles... Or maybe I'm a sucker for new artists... or maybe I just felt bad that her journal stated that she had tried a few months before but nobody hired her... *shrug* Anyway, I couldn't help but give her a shot at my characters...

Ooops, also forgot to mention that she gets the honor of being the first to complete my characters in their new outfits!! (Ok, Red Fire did do a gift art of Caemgen which rocked but that was before Caemgen in a kilt was official... Cluth also put Cae in a kilt but that was actually more coincidinkle...)

As for youbtaking credit for my cool arts (besides those you've done), well I don't even take credit for them since I'm just the money guy... If someone complimented character design I'd take limited credit on that (limited since I myself was limited to pre created costume pieces) but the artists get credit for the arts

Still, as I was saying earlier today, I totally appreciate the comments and critiques you've provided - they not only have pushed me to be more insistant about how I want things but also help me to learn what to look for in future drafts and such to try to cut off problems before they happen...

So ya, you can take some of any credit I may get even though I don't think i deserve any
