Caemgen

Not an artist but I coudln't help but think of Amerikatt for the virtues...

I DQ'd myself last month for not including a hot chick. I know, I know - It seems like everyone was willing to let me count Alice as my hot chick but since when doing the picture I was totally thinking of my Alice as the original 7 and a half year old girl from the original book... Not thinking of 7 and a half year olds, I certainly did not intend her to meet the hot chick requirement.

Yeah, stupid to DQ myself when Wassy said it was good... But I am no stranger to doing stupid things. I often pick such stupid little things to be nitpicky about and stick to the letter of the law (or intent or whatever) even if it's detrimental to me. *shrug*

But just because I DQ'd myself doesn't mean I'm not going to play along... I just wanted to wait until the deadline was past to post my entry so that someone wouldn't put me in the voting process despite my stupid little stance


So, below is my non-entry... I guess you could say it's a little bit of a performance piece? I didn't want to just use kindergarten materials, I wanted to make a kindergarten piece entirely... So I was thinking, what would Caemgen had done in art while in kindergarten?? And after deciding that, I got to the performance part because I started asking myself how the other kids would react to him? So, my non-entry entitled "A Mother's Love"



I figured kids are cruel and would be crueler to Caemgen by far... So I envisioned the little brats snatching away that artwork that Caemgen was so proud of and balling it up, even ripping it up on him. Of course Caemgen's mother would love it, wrinkled and ripped or not, and would give it it's rightful place of honor up on the fridge...

(The dad part is just blank because Caemgen never knew his dad... But I igured in typical public school style, the teacher would probably insist the kids include both parents.)


And just because I had to preserve my masterpiece before I got to the performance part of it, here's the original:

Yeah... But in hoping to get changes I figured it was best to pick my fights on this one... I think with proper horns and tail this will at least be a Caemgen picture. More along the lines of the early ones before you got me being more forceful but at least a Caemgen picture.
He's actually the one I'm least likely to give up on... But he is the most frustrating one to get done and get done right. And it was a frustrating day to begin with. If I did retire Caemgen it would be a retire, not a kill... Can't go killing off my namesake!! And even then it would be to just pull him out for the real top quality artists who I believed could really pull him off... But I'm coming to think those are fewer and farther between than I used to.

My understanding is something basically along the lines of:

(image redacted becuase it was expanding width of page and example has been made...)

Simple line art drawings of the character with all the details simply shown. Basically a clean and easy to read reference of the character so someone like me doesn't need to include a book of notes about how the character is different from the screenshots provided...

Hopefully a set but I wouldn't call them secondary...
