And thanks all, glad you like them as much as I do... As for the blood splatters, Fen does use electric based magics but, errr, if some Family goon accidently cut himself while falling down a few times that can't really he helped, can it?
As for more on the way... I do still have a few arts outstanding: a set from Bindweed, from Ravenskar, Aposcar, a single piece of Caem from UndineCG and probably a couple I am forgetting but i'm in a bit if a buying freeze at the moment until I get my character sheets done... It's hard to keep from buying more, there's been a couple of really good artists and deals I've wanted to jump on, but I am forcing myself to hold off...
Oooooh, almost forgot I have another Nema piece in the works... It should he a pretty dramatic piece!!

I love his Caemgen art since Caem just looks so kickbutt and mean in it... The Fenian one I love because of the detail and expression on her face. (And he even did throw in a little bit of a scene here...)
Also loved the first line he has in the Artist's Comments section: "Whoops.. did I just whoop your *butt*.....sorry about that"

First up is the final of the trio's lineart...
Next up is the colors! It seems one of the big things delaying these was that PresidentNelson was having colorist issues... His usual colorist got behind and the Prez waited and waited but finally turned to another colorist in order to clear up some backlog. So these final pieces are:

Don't worry about being up on all the current top names or all the famous ones of the past... It may help you get an occasional in joke (like when people mention Liefield... err, I think that's the name? I'm not all that up on names either) but you don't need to know them to enjoy the pretty arts!

Friends jest with and take jabs at one another all the time. Assuming that these boots were meant to be his I would take it as gentle poke at how closely he guards his character, not as an insult. It would seem like the good natured fun friends have at one anothers expense all the time... I would think that if insult was intended that it would have been a lot more obvious and noticeable...
*shrug*. Thank god most people have a sense of humor or Pyro would have been lynched by now.

I'm realizing that the ones I like best tend to be the ones that could easily be graffitied on a wall or such with just maybe a simple cut out template... Not because I'm all for the tagging of public property but because these ones, done effectively, totally encompass simplicity and identifiability...
CR's Thorny, Suich's Dragonberry or Fenian or VexXxa all really stood out in this regard to me, as well as a few others... A simple background of one color, then a quick spraypaint over a template, and bam!
Actually, with how simple Suich made Fenian's I almost want to go back to her old costume now
Still, many of the more complicated ones are still very cool and appealing... Airheads works so well for me that I don't think he even needs the logo... -

But my point is more that if the idea is to show the minimalist design and have people recognize which character it is, they sort of have to know the character first to begin with is all... But yeah, if I had known that character, that minimalistic design would have let me know who it was

Well except for my original costumes for each character, all my costumes are iconic... I did buy them at Icon.
Personally, it's not even something I take into consideration though. I wanted a demon looking character and a powered armor guy and just went with what I thought looked good. I don't particularly care if they look iconic or not, or even if others dig their designs or not... I like them and that is all I strive for. (Fenian was a bit of an accident... entered that contest where you must use certain colors and just kind of dug the design I came up with even if I have since radically changed it. *shrug*)
But if you are looking to make iconic I think, as mentioned already, simplicity of design is important. You really only want one or maybe two "signature" pieces of the costume - logo, costume piece, whatever that really just "stands" for that character.
Amy - Personally I tend not to use all my costume slots... If I rp'd more I definitely would want a civilian look but the main use I have for additional slots is with Fenian... Sometimes I want the hood she wears down, sometimes I want the hood down and mask off. *shrug*
Then again, sometimes we just do silly stuff like insist everyone in the task force has a certain look and it's nice not to have to change the main costume

Nice screenshots you got there. Lucky you found that trash can to throw at your double... It's handy how you never notice those things until you need them
As for which arcs are as good as/better than this one, that's all a matter of personal taste. Personally though, I tink this ones the best... But rather than thinking the rest of the stuff is a let down, I just choose to figure that the best stuff is yet to come!

Bubba - Seriously, very cool and thanks! I suppose it would have been a bit easier if Cae had some kind of logo or something... And I love your personal one.
Airhead - I think you did great on yours.
U-Naught - Don't know your character that well so don't know how well that works but it looks cool...
