Very cool art... And I like the commemorate 50 in art tradition!!
But... is that a chibi?? Just what is the definition of chibi anyway?? I always just assumed it was the big headed little body things but if it encompasses more than that (or if I am wrong on that) then I am totally confuzzled...

Actually, I'd be very interested to know what order these arts come in chronologically... The more I see the more I'm liking and I suspect that the pictures I was "unsure" of may be earlier pieces 'cause some I really, really like and have no reservations about at all.
As for those who would question your subject matter or how you choose to express your art? Screw 'em! Artists should follow their muse... Their passion... Their vision. Yes, it may not be the most economically feasible or responsible route but it is the surest one to happiness! (or so my fortune cookie wisdom book tells me...)

Not trying to be difficult it's just that I'm not sure exactly what my reservations about it is. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy most of it very very much and think it's all pretty damn cool... It's just... *shrug* I'm not sure what it is.
You mention above somewhere that one of the tools you use sometimes is Poser? Maybe that's it? I dunno... Not to take anything away from your talents, or the talents of those who do great stuff on Poser, but while I fully see that Poser takes skill, and talent to pull off great, something about 99% of Poser works just seems a bit "off" to me. Again, not sure exactly what it is.
Perhaps it's something about the fact that no matter how talented at Poser the creator is the figures still "feel" a bit posed and stilted to me... too stiff or something.
Really looking over your pieces again and trying to figure it out I'm thinking perhaps there is a sense of balance missing which is just throwing me off somehow... It seems that in each piece there are some things done much better than others in them. Bah, I dunno...
Sorry I can't be more clear. I guess I'll never make my living at being an art critic or teacher or anything... But despite the fact there's something about them I'm "not quite sure on" I still think they're very cool and interesting and am glad to see them and hope to see more!

If I had to take bets on which character would most be remembered 70 years from now I would put my money on Amerikatt... She doesn't have much art but she has a very memorable cuteness factor!!

Less love the "slash glow" as it doesn't give with the movement for ne *shrug*
but Feral looks hot as always so I'm not spending much time looking at that anyways

As for leagues, trust me - I'm not in one. Don't want to be in one either. If anyone wants to comparing getting arts to leagues then just consider me some putz playing street hockey with friends and having to move the nets every time a car drives by...
That's to say, I don't compare one gallery to another. Not by size, not by quality, not by money spent, etc... So to me there is no winning or losing and thus no leagues to play in. All this is is more cool arts for me to check out which is always a plus!

There's something very cool about a lot of these (Liking Kiber's Fantasy the best so far) but in a sense I haven't quite made my mind up on them yet either... Ah well, don't bother with my silly musings, I'm a bit off.

I don't really know if I can qualify this as a retcon. This isn't truly a retcon to the CoH cannon, as it doesn't have anything to do with the story, but where the game was made.
Still, on the plus side, minor adjustment to the text in the piece to call them the "Freedom Phalynx" or such and it should be good to go...

GeI've enoyed all the livestreams I've been able to make but due to my crappy work hours I'm probably more on Airheads schedule than normal peoples.... Alas, I can't make most of them...
But I'm with everyone else, I love seeing wips and stages and so on!! -

I didn't do it at the start... But I decided my character Fenian has an evil "twin" in the Rogue Islands. Ok, not actually a twin so much as an exact duplicate created by a complicated magical ceremony gone wrong. So far neither knows about the other though - Neither are quite "in that league" yet where they'd get press on the other side...
Oddly though, the "evil" Fenian also has a clone running around the Rogue Islands! She does know about this, it's a result of the whole Proteus incident, but she's not sure what the clone is up to since they parted ways and not sure she cares...
I'll get screenies up tommorow, don't actually have any of the evil one or cloned one yet. -
I'd been thinking of doing a contest like this for a long time... All the great arts TA is getting in response just confirms that it's a MUST.
