Well it would be cruel and unusual punishment to deny you bacon... And I suppose I really must allow you the milk to wash the bacon down with... And... and.. I suppose bacon is best when wrapped around catnip... (at least for you...)

*sigh fine, fine... I suppose you can always take a catnap later if you get tired.
  2. I actually thought Gray was subtly trying to give me their phone number in that pic... But no matter what area code I tried I kept getting Phone Not In Service or confused, annoyed, angry people with quite colorful language telling me they had no idea what I was talking about...

    Anyways....

In the category of Character Busts I humbly submit the following... I really tried to keep myself to the 5 minute limit but not sure how well I did since I didn't actually have a clock in sight...

I'm kind of disappointed I couldn't do a better job on this one but I decided I'm just going to blame the subject for not having better reference shots where I could find them!!

As for the category of Tag a Forumite I must admit I'm not sure just what kind of rules you're thinking of for it CR... Are we just supposed to "challenge" someone to do a sketch here and then they get to challenge someone else? Do we have to do a sketch somehow pertaining to the one we are tagging??

So, I decided to make up my own rules

I figure that in order to challenge someone you probably should have to do a sketch that pertains to them... Seems only fair. If you're going to taunt someone into participating there needs to be some kind of bait. I figure the guilt of someone slaving for hours and hours (assuming star trek code where hours equals minutes) over a sketch for them should be plenty to get them to do the same for someone else...

    Or not

Anyway, I figured if your going to fish you may as well fish for a whale... Either that or I decided this forumite would never stumble across this thread anyway and thus your vague and confusing category can just end here

So, with all that build up... I figure it's time to tag a redname!

(Runs and hides now before his costume really is changed in to yellow pj's with duckies on them!)
  3. Bell Point Hospital (roof)
As Caemgen sat on the ledge of the roof he kept an eye on the ground around the hospital but couldn't help stealing glances out towards the bridge. Something was going on over there. Something big. He could see flashes of light, hear the occasional rapport of gunshots, but the distance was too far to know for sure just what was what...

Not my business anyway, he thought to himself over and over again as he returned to watching the area immediately around the hospital. She said to keep an eye on this place. She didn't say nothing about the bridge.

It wasn't that he was eager to go out and help at the bridge. Whatever was going on there was big and messy and Caemgen hated messy. Point him at a problem and he'd knock it down for you, no problem. Ask him to sort out the good guys from the bad guys? Well, the world was just too confusing for that nonsense. Without someone around he trusted to sort out that kind of thing it was generally a coin flip on whether he'd ignore the situation altogether or just try to knock every head he could find until the blue shirts came and decided who was naughty or nice.

He kept the coin he decided with in a small little buckled compartment on his belt.

"Just keep an eye on the place, would ya?" She had asked, her big green eyes giving him that pleading look. "Something bad's gunna go down there and I can't get there til dawn."

She had an appointment with The Family that she wouldn't break for nothing. Caemgen never did get the story out of her but she had a major bug up her butt about those Family types.

"So protect the hospital is all?" Caemgen had asked her.

"And the patients. There's someone very special there who needs protecting."

    "What's their name?"

"I don't know... You know I just get feelings, not details." she answered, annoyed at having to state the fact yet again.

"So how will I know who to protect? You know I'm no good at that stuff." His was obviously grumpy but then again, wasn't he always?

Fenian sighed and fidgeted with the green bandana with black shamrocks she always wore to cover her hair while at work. "It's simple, Caem. Keep an eye out... Once you see someone trying to harm someone else, stop them. That's all there is to it."

"That's all? Just wait around til I see someone trying to hurt someone else. Stop them. Then I'm done?" Caemgen asked skeptically.

    "That's it. Simple, no?"

    "But what if I..."

"CAEMGEN! You going to help me out here or not?" She had reached the end of her patience.

"I am! I am! You know I am..."

"Good. Thank you. Now just go to the hospital and keep an eye out... I'll get there as soon as I can but I have business to attend to first."

"Fine... fine..." Caemgen said resigned to having to do this alone... But maybe he'd get lucky. Maybe nothing would happen until she could get there and point out who he should hit...

    “Whatcha waitin for, Mister?”

Caemgen's leathery wings fluttered quickly in suprise and his head whipped around so he could see who had snuck up on him.

It was a boy. A kid. A child, really.

Without even waiting for a reply the snot nosed little punk had also climbed up on the ledge and was peering over it to the street below.

"Hmph," Caemgen said, trying to act like the kid hadn't suprised him. "Don't rightly know, kid. Just waiting to see what happens."

The kid seemed to pay him no mind and just kept peering over the ledge.

"Say, kid? You didn't see anyone trying to hurt anyone else inside... Did ya?"

Without turning his attention from the street below the kid shook his head back and forth. "Nuh-uh," he said. "This is a hospital, Mister. People come here to get better after they get hurt."

Caemgen shot a glare at the kid and tried to make out if he'd been trying to makle fun of him or not but the kid was still staring down at the street. Just a kid, Caemgen thought. Probably didn't mean nothing by it... Probably.

"Yeah, you're right. There's probably no reason for me to be here anyway... A wild goose chase." Caemgen fidgeted a bit and took a glance once more over towards the bridge. The lights seemed to have stopped flashin and he couldn't here gunfire anymore either... Looks like the Port was settling down for the night.

"Say kid? You wouldn't happen to wanna go down to the cafeteria and grab me a pudding, would ya?" Caemgen asked but before he could even finish the kid was pointing down at the street and stretching out as far as he could.

"Look! Look! Hey Mister, look!!" the kid was shouting excitedly.

Caemgen grabbed the back of the hospital gown the kid wore just to make sure the little brat didn't go toppling over. That was something Caemgen definitely didn't need to try and explain to Fenian... But even while trying to gently pull the kid back from the edge Caemgen looked down at the street where the kdi was pointing...

Down at street level, right in front of the main hospital doors, energy was flickering and dancing... And within moments it left behind the shapes of two figures. One was obviously sick - He had tubes trailing from him and everything. The other.. Well it was hard to make out due to the lack of light but it looked... Well maybe it was just the light but it looked like a big old lizard walking on two feet!

"It look to you like one of them is hurting the other, kid?" Caemgen asked, unsure if he should jump down there and start knocking heads or not...

"Ummm..." the kid said as he took another look down at the two figure...
  4. Search? Ha! I am way too lazy to search. Hell, I drop hunt missions.

While I obviously agree with you I can't help but wonder what you're doing up so late... If you're staying up past your nap time again it'll mean no milk and catnip for you!!
  6. Hmm, I can just see it now... A bunch of blasters running around and being members of the Fart Appreciators supergroup....
  7. Caemgen

    Feral Kat artz!

Oooooooh yeah, this is a cool and striking piece. Guess I forgot to comment earlier since I went to go check out more of pablo's stuffz
  8. Thanks but all praise, flattery and compliments is due the artists, not me. They're the ones with the skill, talent and dedication... I'm just a guy who chose to spend his disposable income on graphic arts instead of the many talents of the Canadian Ballet.

I am quite fond of the gallery though, not a clunker in the group... They're all a fave of mine in one aspect or another.
  9. Long as I find out before ending up with unexpected dangly bits in my hand it's all good
  10. I am so going to have to pick up bacon on way home from work in the morning....

I'd always heard that microwaved bacon doesn't really get crispy... I may have to give it a try for myself.
  11. Bald chicks can be way hot... Sinead O'Conner way way freaking hot! That chick in V is for Vendetta....uber hit with bald head. Bleh, her name is on tip of my brain but it mut be stuck on one of the dead end pathways.

anyway, maybe it's a leftover from my punk rock days but shaved or partially shaved heads can be very attractive. I think the main thing is that the woman needs to have a pretty face to begin with. Bald brings much attention to the face so it needs to be attention worthy? Kind of like facial piercings... Most time I do not think they look good at all, and it's nothing about the piercings themselves... I just thing most who get the eyebrows done, the huge nose jewelry, etc just don't have a cute enough face to carry off the extra attention it brings...

Whoa, I'm I taking us of topic or what???

As for zombie dreams? Puh-lease... If people ran off to shrinks for every little oddity in their heads... Well I'd be in Arkham by now!

Whatever the dream, fantasy, etc... As long as it's dealt with in ways that harm nobody else then I see no problem with it. A person can have the sickest, most violent, depraved and perverse dreams and desires and I could care less so long as they keep them under control and only find legal, consentual ways to enact them... And they invite me to join them

anywayz, thought police aren't patrolling our minds quite yet, thank god.

As for bacon... I can't answer for anyone but myself but... Everything is better wrapped in bacon!

Scallops good. Scallops wrapped in bacon better!
Steak good. Steak wrapped in bacon better!

I am waiting til someone opens a "wrapped in bacon" resteraunt where everything on the menu comes wrapped in bacon... Sausages, pancakes, turkey, hamburgers.... I want my bacon wrapped in bacon! And I want a side of bacon with it!

As for cooking it, it's really not hard. If I can do it anyone can.
Step 1 - get some bacon
step 2 - put bacon in frying pan
step 3 - turn on heat under frying pan
step 4 - wait. Flip occasionally (the bacon, not yourself) and takes out of pan once your preferred crispness is achieved...
Step 5 - put on a napkin or papertowel to soak up excess grease
step 6 - enjoy the bacony goodness

hmmm, I'm thinking all combined, this may be one of my weirder posts..... I'll leave now
  12. We really need to set rules about names around here...
  13. Heh, outstanding works is actually a big reason for me slowing down... I want to stay on top of what's done, what's not, who has been paid, who wants me to wait for sketches etc, and that sort of thing. I still have a dozen or more in the works and I don't want keeping track of them to become a job...

Not to say money is no issue at all - I'm not Bill Gates... But being a single guy with a decent paying job does have it's advantages . (coworkers keep telling me I'll start working overtime once I have a wife and kids... I keep telling them that's why I don't have a wife and kids!)

Nope, nope... Not about saving money... More about self control

Which you can tell I have by the fact I jumped on omi's offer
  15. I think we're all pretty spread out.

I think the server I've heard most that people at least have "some" toons on is Virtue but I maybe only notice that one the most because that's where I am... But I don't know if I've heard of anyone being on it the majority of their time except me.
  16. lol, it's really my intention to lay off on new buys until after the new year... But then I saw the "doddle" he did for you and I had to jump on his offer.

I've still got a bunch waiting to be done - mainly contest stuff (due to my insanity on the one) but a few personal pieces as well - but I'm going to resist buying anything new (except for one I am planning in conjunction with someone else) unless I find a really, really good deal
  17. More by omi... Find him at: http://spidey0318.deviantart.com/

Must say I think this piece came out as near to perfect as one could hope...
  18. Looking over the other contestants whose entries are linked so far... I'd say you have one (maybe two) competitors
  19. Woohoo, new meat!!

Seriously people, the waters fine! Grab a pencil and jump on in. I'm living proof that skill is not required.

Gray - ya had to jump right in with a pic with hands (and well done hands!) front and center after I just was complaining about how hard they are, didn't ya?!?!

nice take on the sewer category... And if all the catgirls are as hot as your depiction then I'm going to have to start keeping a better eye out for them!

    Nice job on both.
  20. May have more to say when at home and able to see it full sized but it looks pretty damn sweet on my cellphone
  21. Um, guys? The line to volunteer/audition for the roll of zombie forms behind me!

. (just ignore me Cash, it's safer that way!)

Don't trouble yourself at all about no new arts in a while... Commissions should take precedence over just entertaining and thrilling the unwashed masses with freebies... We'll wait as long as need be. Besides, commissioned Cashoo arts are still Cashooey Goodness

as for ridding yourself of mr artblock I would suggest either taking a break to refresh your batteries, tackling a piece that was completely different from your norm to kind of jolt yourself, going to a wild party, club, whatever in order to de-stress or just a tire iron to the back of Mr Artblocks skull... Destruction can be very envigorating
  22. Your praise is too much for my humble efforts... But I'll take it I'm just glad I was able to not ruin her entirely. CR's though... That, in my opinion, deserves all the praise. I think he did a masterful job of capturing and blending both the beauty and morbid elements...

And while I am sure we would all love to see you partake of this thread, you have contibuted more than your fair share of arts already so you really shouldn't feel pressured at all... My answer to Eddy was just me being silly. There's really no conspiracy to turn you into our art slave, to get you to do our every artsy command... I swear... Honest!

As for non-awsome villian groups... My first thoughts would be Hellions or Skuls. Oh sure, they are grand for what they are but I don't think they rank up there with the rest for uber-coolness... But in the end I must say I never quite got many peoples fascination with the 5th Column. Maybe because I wasn't around before they first left? But meh... Whatever.

General Knowledge - I would have agreed with you on Malta when I first started encountering them but now the more I face them the more I enjoy them... At least so long as I remember to pick off the sappers first

Oh! On the mug... I take it then that you figured out the design was supposed to be your Jolly Roger skull? That was another thing I really should have left more room for.

    Pumpkin Vote!

I'll vote again if ya'all want... I could probably even dig up some absentee ballots

Same link as always... (I didn't know so figured you may not either.)

Ok, you may be late but there's still plenty of donuts and coffee so feel free to jump on by!
