Prison may not be all beatings and rapes and such... but it is there. Despite being the next thing to a hermit I would still go nuts if I _couldn't_ leave. Assuming I don't get halfling agility and sneakiness and cool stuff like that... While still inconvienent, I think being "too" tall would be easier to deal with than "too short."
If nothing else, I could play basketball for a living... Or better yet, hockey! Chara and Myers have showed what an advantage a long reach can be for a hockey defenseman!!

So far I'm stuck on Virtue so I haven't done more than create a few name holders on other servers... But the time will come when I use those names. When I do they will be the same characters as I have on Virtue.
While I'm not an altaholic I do like playing different powersets. So I have my 3 characters and I repeat them in different power sets with just slightly altered names... As I said in the bio thread (and which is relevent here too)

This works for Alpha since his powers come from his armor... Easy enough to have different suits with different powers.

mayhap the reason Caemgen doesn't have a second toon yet is changing his powers doesn't work as easily... But I'm sure I'll think of something

My only "problem" with the bio box is that, for RP purposes, most of what people put in there wouldn't be known to people just passing by, even if the hero was famous.
*shrug* Most are interesting to read though and add more to my enjoyment to the game than they subtract by giving info I shouldn't know... And I suppose a good RP would just ignore what they wouldn't know anyway.

Hmmm, all I know about actual prisons is what I've seen on TV or in the movies...
I'm assuming Redheads Behind Bars 12 isn't a documentary but I've seen very few prisons depicted where you got unlimited internet, there was no threat of violence ever or which had food I'd be willing to eat...
Maybe those country club prisons but all in all I don't think I want to risk it

A bit confused by the question...
Would my characters, if I was playing them In Character, go? - I think this is what you mean... And the answer is yes. Each of my three mains would go.
Caemgen would have very mixed reasons for going (heroic reasons, tired of being a demon faced human reasons, etc) but he would go.
Fenian Girl would be scared out of her wits but wouldn't be able to turn down Hero 1 and thereafter would feel too trapped by having said yes, by her innate goodness to bail out.
Daybreaker Alpha in many ways would prefer to just sit back, let the world spin, and drink beer as it happened... But at the end of the day he has a kind of soldier mentality that forces him to put up the fight that needs to be put up, no matter the odds or inconvienence to himself.
But I also almost read your question as to if I would send my character (as a game character) on a suicide mision... Would I enter a Task Force which, if failed (and maybe if won), meant deletion...
That I would find a silly thing to do since there is no upside... No betterment for anything by doing it.
It's one thing to make a sacrifice for something... Another thing entirely to do it for nothing. -
Fenian Girl was too young to participate on the Omega Team, in fact her powers were just beginning to manifest at about that time. But going on the "What if" theory that she was born about 5 years earlier but the rest of her life history held true, her letter would have gone something like this:

Hero 1 spotted me taking out one of the families illegal casinos on the docks in Indpendance Port. I have no idea how he knew my powers were magic based... I registered as a natural since I don't study books or cast spells or chant or anything... But somehow he knew. He told me how important magic was going to be to his mission... To the war... to humanity... He asked me to help.
I wanted to say no!
I wanted to run away.
I wanted to scream that it was all too big for me!
I take down the riff raff, the small timers. The family are my "arch enemies." I take down some Sky Pirates or Freakshow if I'm feeling ambitious and spunky. I'd probably wet myself and faint if I ever actually glimpes a real super villian like Nemesis or Lord Recluse. I'm too small time for this crap! How could Hero 1 not see that????

I don't think I said yes... I mumbled something though. I think I faintly bobbed my head up and down a bit but maybe I was actually close to fainting? Anyway, he smiled a big toothy smile. He put his arm around my shoulders. He told me he was proud of me and that, come what may, we would stand together...
That was then. Now? Now he's saying to write a letter to the future... A future we're unlikely to see.
I want to see that future! Dammit, this is so unfair!!
Anyway, I hope you can read this through all the smudges and wet spots. I try to only cry when I'm alone but sometimes I can't help it. I don't really think this is the kind of letter he wanted us to write... I think he wanted something brave and profound and inspiring... Screw him. Whether this works or not I think whatever future there is should know that at least one of us "heroes" were scared and afraid and wanted nothing more badly than to just see her dog again and to hug him and to give him biscuits and scratch his tummy and to love him...
Sorry, had to take a break there.
I'm going to do what I can. I'm going to try to be brave. I will do my best. That's all I can promise though.

I tend to think prison isn't quite as bad as Oz but I doubt there's many who have it as easy as Red did...
Though I did see an MSNBC show Lockup which focused on an Amsterdam (I think?) prison... Guards have no weapons, cells bigger than NYC apartments and breaking out not a crime (the theft of clothes is though if you take your prison uniform...) those cells had tv, small appliances, closets, seperate private bathrooms.... I'd pick prison if it was in that prison. -

This works for Alpha since his powers come from his armor... Easy enough to have different suits with different powers.

Hmm, all the birthday threads and gift arts have me remembering a different board I used to be on... People raced to start the Bday threads even for people they didn't know. To amuse myself I started changing my bday everyday... I think I got 4 or 6 happy bday threads started for me before anyone called me on it. Wonder if that would work here?????
