Probably the typical "We didn't expect this huge a response and were unprepared, it'll take a while to go through it all" kind of thing...

Quote:What's with the "dinner with mclovin tag?" I thought I was fairly well up to date on this thread but now I wonder.
and another thing, why is a Wendy's bacon double cheeseburger cheaper than a regular double cheeseburger...adding so much awesome must certainly cost more!
Because McLovin rocks and girls dream? *shrug*
And I can't say for sure about the Wendy's thing but I did read an article a bit back on how several McDonalds owners were suing McDonalds... It seems the parent company was mandating selling the one burger at a loss of (on average) 10cents per unit. It was being done to bring people into the doors and hopefully buy other stuff... But also to get people used to going to McDonalds.
Could be a similiar thing with Wendy's but it does seem odd that extra toppings equals cheaper... -
*starts lining up artists he can commission to do works for him so he can pass them off as his own and enter...*

I'm tempted to make a dolphin based character just so it can write "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

No prob... You have to limit the shows eventually I imagine... (If not I would say it even needed a ShamWow commercial in there!)
But truthfully the only way I think you could make the sig better is if you had a bit of animation that showed her eating popcorn... Would be hard though - she's at the wrong angle to see it. *shrug* -
Love the new Self-Gift Pyro... though you should have included Sanford & Son

Yeah... I was all poised to complain that I'm not rich but then figured it was worth the gamble to act it

Movie Star...
They get to blame directors and writers and such when the product sucks... Rock stars have only themselves (and band members) to blame. -

As a non artist my general feeling is that so much depends on so many variables that it's next to make any hard and fast rules for what I feel is appropriate or not. I'll have different standards for someone just trying to learn than I do for someone who makes their living (or even just good pocket cash) or art... Different standards for someone doing a fan piece intended to just be entertaining to the people on a games message board than I would someone who is looking to sell posters of their work.
One of the few hard and fast rules I can think of is that one shouldn't hide what they used as reference. I don't mean it has to be stamped onto the art of, god forbid, a list of everything they looked at when dong the art added in fine print underneath like some kind of insane warning label... But one shouldn't be afraid to say the piece was inspired by so and so or that I snagged the poses from piece of art X by so and so... And most importantly, if called on and asked, it should be stated where it came from...
The closer one is trying to make the art to mimic the sources or references then the more need to state what those sources or references are... But if one did a line drawing out of their head and then looked at a photograph by some famed photographer just to get an idea of how a flashlight's beam lights up a flowerbed (silly example) then I wouldn't really think the photographer would need to be credited... If they were looking at that picture the whole time doing the art, then ya probably...
All in all, I think it all depends on how much the artist makes the final result "their own" as opposed to how much it really reflects or mimics the references. -
Quote:Howdy...Hello,
I am searching for Daybreak Patrol. I heard that it's on Virtue and plays on Oceanic nights. 2-3 times a week and that maybe there are free slots available.
If anyone knows anything can you please message me.
Thanx
Don't expect me to do time conversions, my head is confuzzled enough right now for other reasons... But we met on Tuesday and Thursday at 9am Eastern time - Basically around the server pops back up these days. We run together usually for 3 or 4 hours depending on how life is intruding at the time to pull us away earlier or let us play a bit longer.
We do indeed have room for more. We started out as a 5 man (err, person) static team and we're currently down to 4 but still hoping Tac-Officer Hoplite returns some day
Right now we're all around level 38.
The theme/concept of the group is that we're attached (in a vague way) to the PPD and we're basically normal people wearing powered armor for our powers... But as this group isn't really RP (we're not opposed, and do have some moments of it but *shrug*) fitting into the theme doesn't seem to be a requirement these days...
Anyway, the main thing to know about this group is we're all pretty darn laid back and easy going. We're not about power levelling, making sure we have the perfect combo of AT's, making sure everyone "plays their character right" or any of that crap. If we get wiped out in a mission because someone does something stupid, or if half the team gets lost in a cave and we get split up... *shrug* Oh well, that's part of the fun for us
Anyway, if your interested in such an easy going, loosey goosey team feel free to hit us up in game. Best time would probably be any Tuesday or Thursday when we're running, we have been big on grabbing people looking for teams lately so it would be easy for you to meet up with us, run with us for a bit and see how you like it. Just send a tell to @Caemgen (me - Daybreaker Alpha), @Typo Cop (Officer Kirby) or Officer J. Justice who is gather up the PUG these days
And this seems like a good time to show off some of our art!

Nice work Scooter...
The final piece is still a bit rough (comparing it to some of the awesome stuff done by the pros around here) but I think that works really well with the image wether it was intentional or not.
Big thumbs up on this! -
Go back and read the original post???
Basically Pyro is posting questions that are all Would You Rather A or B and the idea is to pick your answer...
We're not suppose to be picking apart others answers/reasons but inevitably we are a bit -
A) Forget who I was
Maybe I could start over without all my current oddities and eccentricities?
