None injured -
Day 3..
Battle raged through Sharkhead as Spruk and his rag tag group of gang members fought against the invading Rikti. Running out of ammunition and getting tired, the outlook was bleak.
"Playge! Keep them away from the van!" screamed out Spruk to a large built male, covered in blood stained rags, who nodded at his commands and quickly rushed the incoming Rikti as they tried to take out their get away vehicle.
It was looking bad. Fewd, a long time member of Spruk's gang had already fallen, decapitated by a thrown Rikti staff, whilst the other members already had scars to show off if they lived through it. Spruk looked across the battlefield, realizing it was a lost cause he raised his guns, "To the van! Retreat whilst we still draw breath!" At that, all the gun wielding thugs clambered into the large battle worn van. Revving the engine as the Rikti drew in for the kill, Spruk drove around, charing at the Rikti, ramming through them like they were mere toy soldiers, disappearing into the battlefield..

Efranof walked through the Vanguard base, stepping through the portal and into the war zone. With one great leap, he threw himself into the air, checking the ground for something. Battles waged on below, heroes and villains aiding each other against countless waves of Rikti assaults, groups of Vanguard laying waste to hordes of Rikti.
Landing and hiding around a nearby corner, he found what he was looking for. The battered bodies of Vanguard troops were scattered among a large group of Rikti who were salvaging the Vanguard armour for their own use. Efranof, fully armoured and sword in hand, charged into the battlefield. In a few short seconds it was over, Rikti and Vanguard laid on the ground with Ef standing up, looking around.
Efranof gathered up those who were alive, two over his shoulders, one on his back and one in his arms. He jumped into the air, but didn't get far. Grunting, he started to run for it, the clang of the Vanguard armour as it hit his own clanged loudly, alerting nearby Rikti of his presence.
Stopping to catch his breath, Efranof looked at the area, he could head a low rumbling but he couldn't see where it was coming from. The debris left over from a recent fight started shaking as the noise got louder, alarmed Ef started running again, turning a corner he saw what the noise was, a Vanguard tank roared up the street, almost hitting Ef and the injured Vanguard.
Ef dropped the Vanguard and started waving his arms at the tank as it passed, at first it didn't stop but it eventually slowed down and stopped at the end of the road. Picking up the Vanguard again, he ran at the tank as the top hatch opened. A Vanguard operative crawled from the tank, "Is everything alright? What happened?" asked the operative, inspecting the Vanguard as Ef laid them down gently.
"They were in a pretty big fight, their hospital teleporters didn't work." Ef looked at the tank, grinning under his mask. The Vanguard operative picked up one of the troops and hauled them into the tank, "There's only room for two of them and my radio's jammed out here, think you can get those two back?" Efranof nodded, picking up the remaining Vanguard and laying them over each shoulder as the operative put the other troop into the hatch, the tank roared away as Ef was jumping towards the base.
"I sure hope I get rewarded for this.."

Meanwhile, Darvek was on his way to Paragon City..
(( I'm not the best at writing so if there's anything really obviously bad in there forgive me))

Beet stood at his terminal, hitting buttons frantically. The screen displayed several numbers, constantly changing. As Beet carried on typing, the number rocketed up, 100, 200, up to 500.
Beet turned to the cell at the back of the room, Efranof stared at him with blank eyes, Beet said calmly "It has begun."
Efranof ran to the back of his cell, putting on his armour and grabbing his sword, then following Beet out of the room, heading out into the city..
-------------------------------------------------------
Spruk and Darvek looked on into the sky from their mansion, the sky dark and a Rikti ship heading for them. Spruk's grin grew and Darvek slowly walked to the shore. Albert stepped slowly into the waters of Sharkhead, his body grew and his skin darkened with each step. He walked far enough that he had to start swimming, but his body had changed.. And the ship was closer. Spruk flew up to Darvek and grabbed him by his newly formed horns, flying to the ship and throwing Lord Darvek at it, and like a living wrecking ball they attacked. -
"..And that's when the Brawler said, that ain't Manticore, that's Swan!"
"Heh, very funny.. Speakin' of the Brawler, I heard he got sent t' the hospital the other day, some villain fought him in the Isles and won."
"I dun' believe ya, although, the Isles are a dangerous place to be about now, I hear the crime rate rockets by the end of summer."
"Yeah.."
(( A discussion between two Independence Port dock workers, earlier today, 20/7 )) -
Not inspired by this thread, I've had this idea brewing for a few days now but the other thread did give me enough of an idea to bring it to a good idea
Weather Blast, meant for a Defender secondary and a Blaster/Corrupter primary.
Bright Bolts: Minor damage attack (energy), very fast recharge, you throw a small yellow blob of lightning which looks like Electricity Blast's Ball Lightning. Had a chance to stun, -end.
Lightning Strike: You fire a single strike of lightning from your hand at your enemy, moderate damage (energy, lethal), short recharge, knockback -end. Animation would be like Energy Transfer but have a single yellow bolt of lightning fly from your hand.
Wind Funnel: You fire a funnel of ice winds at your enemy, moderate DoT (lethal, cold). moderate recharge, knockback -recharge. The animation shows you holding out an arm and a spiraling wind charging from it at the enemy.
Wind Tunnel: A gust of wind to send attackers away, low damage (smashing, cold) short recharge, cone, high chance of knockback. You hold out both arms infront of you and shoot two large funnels of wind similar to Wind Funnel.
Aim: Self explanatory
Sun Blast: You release the power of the sun, extreme damage (fire) long recharge, interruptable, very long range. You raise your arms in the air until you slam them into the ground, causing a ray of light to shoot from the air at the targeted enemy, setting them on fire.
Earth Shatter: You use the power of the ground against your foes, high damage (smashing), targeted AoE, knockdown/knockup, moderate recharge. You slam your foot into the ground causing many large cracks and spikes to emerge from the ground, hitting your enemies in a targeted AoE.
Drift: You cover your enemies in snow to aid you in battle, AoE minor damage (cold) -speed -recharge, chance for immob, low chance to hold. You start off with the animation for Bitter Freeze Ray, and when you shoot a wall of white comes from your hands covering your enemies, leaving a large circle of snow.
Cyclone: You release a powerful cyclone around you at your enemies, PBAoE extreme DoT (cold, lethal), chance to hold, drains all your end and stops you from recovering it again. You start off with the normal Nova/Inferno animation, which then turns into a mixture of a large Hurricane from Storm Summoning and Blizzard from Ice Blast. The damage would be between Nova from Energy Blast and Inferno from Fire Blast.
Any and all feedback is welcome. -
I only use Granite as plan C due to the damage/recharge debuff (Plan A is earlier shields, B shields + insp), but with or without the damage is OK but still lacking a little.
-
I have a level 35 stone/ice tank, the damage is OK, not the best but it's enough to go through a defeat all mission with +2 enemies. I've not got the tier 9 power in Ice Melee yet, but from what I have seen (numbers and people talking 'bout it) it is utterly useless and only useful in the right situation, like about to die whilst being chased by minions who all have -recharge so you can't use Ice Patch (damn you Crey!!)
I have to agree with some of the original ideas though, increasing the damage/range of Frost and damage of FT.
If Frozen Aura were to be replaced, I believe a power which does Energy Transfer level cold DoT but which has an AoE -speed -recharge would fit the bill. Oh and on the issue of changing Ice would make Fire/Ice tanks overpowered, just make Fiery Embrace not enhance cold damage but instead debuff it. -

btw - everyone changing their board names is soooooooooo confusing!!

I change mine to my current main, Beet hit 50 and now it's Ef up next -
Congratulations Scarlet Vengeance! Well deserved aswell, very nice colouring
And uh, wow, free costume piece of entering!? Had to read that several times over to make sure I read it right
Thank you very muchly!! -
I know one of my chars will take advantage of the chaos, and he isn't a villain
The aftermath will be fun, seeing how/if everyone helps rebuild or do their part helping people. -

Oh wonderful. Looks like I'm not going to be able to ignore this like I did the Requiem thing...
Certainly the point people have made about important services being withdrawn is important, the Scotbot will need to be recalled to protect SCC's assets...

I can see it now, a small army of Rikti buried under millions of newly-created kittens. -

GG's got (back) something PD will never have...
It's small, white, metallic and erratic. Those who know what it is, ye be fairly warned... 7/7/7 it returns.

*activates the Scotbot sirens* EVERYONE TO THE BUNKERS! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! -
Very cool drawing, a real comic-booky style like the professionals

"It's amazing what you can find in Recluse's Victory, like this one time Mako was trying to get into the base and was winning when this hero came out of nowhere and challenged him, Mako being Mako he accepted and some wierd stuff happened.."
"Like what? Consider you're still alive I'm guessing the hero beat him?"
"You see I'm not too sure, the hero picked up Mako and threw him into this big black vortex thing, you know, like a black hole, then jumped in after him before the hole closed, not seen either of them since. What makes it stranger is, I was on duty to guard the portal tech and I never saw the hero come in, or out."
"Freaky, but not as freaky as the time I-[conversation carries on]"

Love these so much
Kelsey Grammar for Lord Darvek, magic brute.
Jim Carrey for Spruk, mutant mastermind
Michael J Fox for Salvager, science tanker -
My brute does fine without the heal/tough (SS/Elec btw) although the only power I would like to get is the heal for those 'I'm surrounded by 10 +3 lieutenants and my health is going down and my end isn't doing well..' moments.
And yeah, I would say en/elec is a good brute build for PvP, but elec/elec would be great for PvE.. As said loads of times already. Although I have been looking at some numbers for elec/fire PBAoE/AoE damage -
Finally decided who would play Efranof in a film, and it would have to be Rich Hall.
Mutant scrapper -
The co-op zone will be interesting on my villains, considering how bad a reputation they have at GG
Hmm reasons for my villains to help the heroes.. For Spruk, it would be him realising that he will need help during the war, be it from the Gang or from other sources. For Lord Darvek, Arachnos see him as a weapon, so will someone anger him and throw him into the middle of the Rikti War Zone to do his thing. -
Well, Ef'll be raiding his weapons and going in an all-out one man army style against em and Beet..
Let's say he's going to remember a few things -
"They're coming I tell you! It's all there, don't you see! You gotta do something! We're all doomed.. They're all coming!!"
From a screaming man running around Kings Row between 2 and 5pm on the 13th of June, who oddly disappeared down an alleyway.
(( Yes, this is some IC stuff about I10, I just couldn't help myself))
