Due to not knowing the primary I'm just gonna base this on personal experience. I only use the three shields and OG in a fight, saving CoD for ghosting or the +Perception. The Damage aura's a waste of endurance and CoF is just too end hungry, despite looking freaking awesome. To make up for no Immob protection I run CJ with a KB and jump IO slotted in it, don't need Acro.
The key to keeping your end bar high is to try and resist Scrapperlock so you take 5 or 10 seconds between a fight and slotting attacks for at least 1 endred enhancement. Dark Regeneration ideally should have at least 60% endred slotted and only using it when your health is in the red because it heals so much with just one enemy, let along 2.
The self rez may seem a little cheap when compared to a god mode, but it does make you near unstoppable and useful in teams. I've slotted for 2 recharge 2 stun, taking everyone in range out of the fight for a good 20 seconds or so. This is more than enough time to put up your shields and take out one or more enemies. In a few ways it's better than a god mode because it's got a shorter recharge, helps the team, helps towards your debt badges and you don't have to worry about crashing in the middle of the next group, and if you do your rez might be recharged to start all over again. -
Personally I prefer Poison over Forcefield as a Mastermind secondary, but with Bots Forcefield works well as you can stack the Defenses and the toggle Repel is handy with ranged pets. It depends on which playstyle you like. Debuff till the (single) target is weak as an Underling or buff your strengths for synergy. I'm not very familiar with Traps in PvP and all I really know about it is that it can be a little slow, but the Forcefield Generator's quite good.
Bodyguard mode practically increases your hitpoints by a large amount, so I'd say Res or Def are personal choice which would be based on which Secondary and Patron pool you grab. Mace Mastery has all the useful powers for PvP and, because of it's +Defense shield, would steer the Secondary towards Forcefields.
Tough and Weave aren't bad ideas if you go with Forcefields (and to a lesser extent, Traps) as it's fairly low end usage (use buffs, turn on toggles and you're done) but I don't think those powers are useful enough without something to stack them with, so a no go if you use Poison.
Hope that helps. -
Steam horses will rise from the ground and steal all the candy floss, but don't tell anyone I said that. Ssssh.

Give that a look, 45% defence to ranged/melee, 38% to AoE, hope it helps. -
They're up.

Fire/shield would prob do more dmg?
[/ QUOTE ]
For DPS, maybe, but only if you're completely surrounded. For veeeery high burst damage/short term DPS then fire/fire's brillig. Fiery Embrace increases fire damage by 125% and all other damage types by 100%, compared to Shield's aura increasing damage by around 80% but only when 10 enemies are in range, at which point ST DPS isn't your greatest worry (without some good IO work, anyway). Combined with enhancements and Build Up they both cause a high damage boost, but against a single opponant /Fire would have the higher damage. -
Fire/Fire as the attacks are a little quicker, slightly more damaging and you'll get more bang for your buck from Fiery Embrace and IOs. Fast recharging, fast animating attacks whose secondary effect is more damage, can't get much better than that

But... how do you measure a year?
[/ QUOTE ]
Cut off a leg and count the rings, each ring is about a year.
Happy birthday Rent. -
When you don't need Mids to plan a build anymore, you already have a good build in your mind for every power combination in the game, and you know 80% of the numbers by heart.

Welcome back! Hope you're settling back in well and finding things all fresh and shiny again

This may be a little short notice, but after talking with a couple of people ingame this may be a fun idea to try and pull off. The idea is to meet up at GG (like the old times
) then head to Eden for an IC Eden Trial. Ideally this would happen either this Saturday or Sunday due to time issues, I would've posted sooner but I was unable to get on a computer for most of yesterday and I'd just remembered now.
All that needs to be worked out are times and who'd like to join. Starting between 5 and 7pm'd be good as it gives people who have a functional sleeping pattern a chance to not play well into the night.
The level range for Eden Trial is 39-41 and needs at least 4 people to start it. Last I checked it was also still bugged so the leader has to be in the level range to start.
For background info, was thinking that a contact has suspicions that the Devouring Earth are up to something big in the zone dubbed 'Eden' so has put the word out that he'll pay large sums of money for any Heroes willing to give the area a look around and return to him with any information.
Or.
Longbow have noticed an increase in Devouring Earth activity so have managed to get ahold of a group of Heroes to attack their believed to be headquarters. If you want to sign up for this then just leave your character details, how to reach you ingame and at what times you'll be on. I look forward to any replies, thanks for reading -

Awesome news that you're gonna have a crack at Baked, thanks so much -

30% is about the same defence a Super Reflexes Scrapper would get, so it's very good.
To get an idea of how good your defence is going to be, double your defence value and that's the percentage chance of (most) NPCs missing you, so 30% defence means NPCs only have a 40% chance of hitting you. -

What does Mercy have?
[/ QUOTE ]
Everything that Atlas has, except for the meeting place/focal point. It really needs a statue of some sort, some kind of meeting point for players to gather and chat which has the room and accessability for all players to meet at. Maybe having the front of the Arachnos base cleared out of shacks/buildings and a Recluse statue made (by the locals via regular beatings and starvation until it's completed, of course.) so that there's a good place and easily recognisable landmark to meet at. -
Corruptors: When evil knows no bounds (except for the damage cap)
Dominators: *whip crack*
Defenders: Puts the Pow! back into your Bam!
Controllers: Tin foil hats required. -
If you mean respeccing your current build, they should go.
If you mean changing to your second build, they stay. Unfortunately it's because of the way they're coded, so can't be changed without a big overhaul of how it work. -
Combat Jumping doesn't give Knockback protection, just Immobilize. It's Acrobatics at the end of the Superjump pool that give KB protection (and Hold). If you're not interested in IOs for the moment, you can take Acrobatics at 49, just slot it for an end reduction (or two) and one or two Knockback because the amount it protects against was lowered not long ago but made enhancable.
