Attention Heroes of Liberty
The Sisterhood is enlisting the help from all the brave Heroes of Liberty server. The Devouring Earth have captured and are holding Four Heroes. They are in danger of being devoured and having their powers siphoned. Once the teams are in we will only have four hours to rescue our Heroes before The Hamidon siphons their powers and houses them in the Crystal Titan. All Heroes willing to join us in our journey into the Eden Spires please meet us at The Woodsman in Eden on Sunday. Below you will find your briefing for the mission.
Date: Sunday, June 27, 2010
Time: 3:00 PM PDT, 4:00 PM MDT, 5:00 PM CDT, 6:00 PM EDT *****Note Time Change
Place: Eden at Woodsman
Event: Eden Spires Trial
Levels: 39 - 41
Enemy: Devouring Earth
Min. Team Size: 4 Players
Rewards: Liberator Badge and 7 Reward Merits
Bug! There is currently a bug in starting this Trial. The leader of the group must be within the level range,
otherwise the trial will not start, though the group will no longer be disbanded as it previously did.
Mission Recap
1. Agree to form a task force
2. Hunt Devouring Earth creatures - Defeat 200 Devouring Earth
3. Speak with the Woodsman - Briefing - Now is the time to end the hunt and begin the rescue. I can show you the way, but within the depths of the Devouring Earth's subterranean warrens, you alone must face the terrible hordes. The Hamidon has created a great Crystal Titan in which to house the power he hopes to siphon from the captured heroes. To win you must smash down the walls to the Titan's lair, defeat it, and free the heroes. But be wary. The Hamidon's servants will protect the walls and the Titan itself. Listen. The Crystal Titan's prismatic powers are devastating; but there is a secret. The Greater Devoured beasts that live above the great lake of acid have evolved a defense against the Titan's prismatic powers. It is a gelatinous substance that coats their skin and dampens the worst of the crystal's vibrations. Gather this substance, and it may protect you from the Titan's power. You must hurry! Within four hours, the captive heroes will be no more!
4. Defeat Titan and rescue heroes -
Defeat Titan and rescue heroes - 4:00:00
Break through the rock wall.
Break through the mold wall
Bring down the Crystal Titan
Bug! Gale, Quill, Slate, and Tundra, after being rescued, will not follow the other Heroes due to some unknown bug. However,
if enemies are led to them, they will still engage in combat.
Strategy
Due to the nature of the unique map within the Eden Trial, heroes who have Stealth, Flight or Teleport will possess advantages over the rest of the team. The journey begins by descending through several holes in the ground.
Once the team reaches a large cavern with a Quarry and a different colored wall at the end, the team may choose to defeat the Quarry, or go for the Rock Wall. While the wall itself does not attack players, it does summon rock-class Devouring Earth. About halfway through, another Quarry will be alerted. The team may choose to defeat it, or distract it and continue attacking the Rock Wall. Summoned enemies may summon Cairns which severely boost the wall's damage resistance.
A quick bind players can do to target these cairns may prove helpful: /bind X "targetname Cairn", where X is the key to bind it to.
Alternatively, a macro may be made instead: /macro XXX "targetname Cairn", where XXX is the name of the macro button.
Once players defeat the Rock Wall, there will be a winding passage, going down. There will be an open room with water and two bridges. Cutting across the middle of the water will aggro fewer of the enemies. Continue down the passages until there is another open room with another wall, the Mold Wall. Lichen Colonies in this room exist, they will spurt out Lichen that hurt when in big groups. Stealth will be useful here to get past them to the Mold Wall.
If not, then watch out for Devouring Swarms that live on the ceiling. These must be dealt with immediately, as their stings last much longer than normal Underling-class Swarms.
The Mold Wall is much like the Rock Wall; it does not directly attack players, but instead summons Fungi-class Devouring Earth along with Boss-class Greater Devoured. Take care of them quickly, until there are only Fungi left, then attack the wall.
Along the way players may have collected the unique Inspiration, Ambrosia, from Greater Devoured enemies. This Inspiration is essential for the final part of the task, as it protects from the substantial damage from Crystal Titan. Try to collect as much as you can (look for three or more per player) because each Inspiration only lasts 60 seconds. Alternatively, players may have stockpiled Defense Inspirations instead in order to reach the 45% defense Soft Cap, and rely on that instead of taking damage. Bear in mind Monster-class enemies (which the Crystal Titan falls into) get slight bonuses for accuracy, even with Soft Cap working against them.
The Crystal Titan itself is in a huge chamber with a large lake, atop a central island with ramps spiraling up the sides. At the far end of the room are the four captured heroes that form part of the mission objectives. The heroes, once freed, do not need to be led out of the mission, or even survive. Between the players and captured heroes, lies the Crystal Titan along with literally hundreds of crystal-based Devouring Earth enemies. Players should use travel powers to find the captured heroes and save them first.
Players may also choose to clear out the room of Devouring Earth, as they will be aggroed by any attack on the Crystal Titan, or ignore them and hope to defeat the Crystal Titan as fast as possible.
Once players start their assault on the Crystal Titan, players should use Ambrosia or other Inspirations as required, as the Titan will attack anyone within its large range . Each Ambrosia will only last one minute, so renew as necessary. Depending on team makeup, the battle may be fast (within a minute), or slow (more than five minutes).
Once the Crystal Titan is defeated, Titan Shards will be spawned. They are fairly dangerous by themselves and Ambrosia provides no damage resistance to them.
We look forward to another challenging fun-filled afternoon with all of The Sisterhood and Friends this Sunday!
Please note the time change, we will be starting an hour earlier to allow all those that want to also attend
the Mothership Raid the time to complete the trial in time for the raid.

Sisterhood Sunday Event For June 13, 2010
The Abandoned Sewer Trial
From the looks of the crowd around the Atlas Park Sewer Entrance, Liberty server really did want to "Go Underground with Sisterhood and Friends!", as advertised this week in SisterhoodFriends channel. We were thrilled at the large, enthusiastic turn out for the event today.
Starting the Abandoned Sewer Trial were 4 teams consisting of 3 teams of 6 players and one team with 7 players for a total of 25 players.
Anyone that has ever even been in the abandoned sewer network knows it can get very deadly, very quickly.
The mission can be very tough and frustrating at times. Sometimes things can be pretty dramatic down there in the sewer fighting the Hydra, Circle of Thorns, sewer tentacles and the Rikti.
Our cast for the impending drama was:
Night's Dawn as Impervium Centurion - Team Captain
Flagrant Fowl as SyTran
Big Bud as Psychotic Bud
Doc Midknight as Doc Helstorm
True Hero of Paragon as himself
Raven something who unfortunately DC'ed (I think this was @raven's secondary)
Team Awesome finished in 1st Place by successfully finishing the trial with a time of 1:10:34
Mr. Jack Frost II as King Richard II - Team Captain
Cootie as himself
Chiang Shish
Nemu as Muhlamuun
Devast8or as Agent Eidolon
Dark Blade
Team King finished in 2nd Place by successfully finishing the trial with a time of 1:29
Tinkerbel as Eyil - Team Captain
Draygos as Kewl
Protona as Plutonium Blonde
Fine Print as himself
Daisy Diesel as herslf
Lauryian as Liliana
Team Cake finished in 3rd Place but was un-successful in completing the trial. Their time was 1:30:42
Green Eyed Lady as Ruby Red (the wild child) - Team Captain
Outlaw Woman as Hotlaw
DrewBysh as Terra Tempestra
Paul Metcalfe as Makurokurosuke
Enderbean as Iron Quarterback
Obsidian Ram as Phantom Legion
Sandrine as her wonderful self - thanks for the great heals
Team Green finished in 4th Place but was un-successful in completing the trial. Their time was 1:35:00
The Abandoned Sewer Trial is one of the most difficult in the game. Everyone was great sports about
the agony of defeat. We all left with promises to the Hydra and Rikti that we will return very soon and
We will not leave without the victory.
Thank you to everyone that participated and those that gave their support and well wishes as we made our descent.
Liberty, Home to the Best Heroes in the world! -
I have been thinking about this prompt business this weekend as I have teamed on several teams with various team make-ups. I wish the prompt for the fortune was gone again. I did not miss it at all.
If the people that complained and asked for prompt back really feel that it is "an invasion of their privacy", then what about all the shields and buffs that have no prompt?
Are these not an invasion of their privacy also?
Where is the thread demanding prompts for ice shields, fire shields, invis, fort, CM, speed boost, group fly, bubbles, dark shroud, aide other, heal, both RAs, or any of the other buffs and shields?
If it is an "invasion of privacy" for one buff, then it is an "invasion of privacy" for all buffs. Fair is Fair.
The best solution I have thought of would be to add it to our options with the following choices
1. Prompt each buff
2. Auto decline all buffs
3. Auto accept all buffs
I think that could almost make most of the players satisfied.
**NOTE - the above is just my opinion. I know that some of my thoughts and options have been posted before with replies regarding the length of the buff.
What about the time it takes to accept or decline the buff? If you are being ambushed by a huge mob you surely don't want to waste any time with prompts. -
/Signed
We should be given the choice. When Issue 17 was released one of the features I was happiest about was losing the prompt. Being given the prompt like we have for teleport is the fairest solution. -
Date: Sunday, June 13, 2010
Time: 4:00 PM PDT, 5:00 PM MDT, 6:00 PM CDT, 7:00 PM EDT
Place: Atlas Park - Downside neighborhood at the entrance to the Sewer Network
Event: Abandoned Sewers Trial
Levels: 38 - 40
Enemy: Rikti and Hydra
Rewards: Charmer Badge
Head of The Hydra Badge
29 Merits
Mission Recap:
Defeat 100 Rikti to show Maren you're up to the task
Defeat aliens in abandoned sewers
Contain the Hydra
Use the access code to enter
This code will unlock the door to the maintenance room.
Due to security precautions, the door will only remain open for a maximum of 90 minutes.
Check for Rikti crates. They're the key to your success.
The Rikti have got some seriously funky technology for trying to keep the
Hydra in check, so use it to your advantage.
Remember, the Rikti crates are the key.
Thermite Cannon Ranged Cone, Moderate Damage over Time (Fire),
Special Damage (Plasma) vs. Hydra Tentacle
The Thermite Plasma Cannon is a Rikti weapon.
The Plasma is relatively cool, and only moderately dangerous.
However, it has be discovered that Thermite Plasma is deadly to the Hydra.
It is best to save the weapon's limited charges for defeating the Hydra.
Particle Cannon Ranged Special vs. Hydra Head
The Particle Cannon is a heavy Rikti weapon that can reverse the polarity
of an entity brought through a dimensional rift,
sending it back to its own universe. Against other targets, it has no effect.
The particle cannon can send the Hydra Head back to its dimension.
The particle beam is slow, and must be held on the target for a long time.
The Particle Cannon has limited charges, so use it wisely.
Clean out the maintenance room - 1:30:00
Defeat the Hydra Head
Strategy
All members of the mission must have reached level 38.
All members over 40 will be exemplared to 40.
A teleport-capable team member is strongly recommended.
After clearing 100 Rikti, gather at the entrance to the Hydra silo.
Entering the silo will start the clock, so be ready.
Descend the silo and acquire weapons from the Rikti crates.
No team member should take more than one weapon.
Use the Thermite Cannons to clear the tentacles.
Beware the Hydra head, which fires potent psi attacks.
Clear the force field generators of Rikti.
Then send four squads of one or two heroes each to each Force Field Generator.
The squads must then defeat the generators in unison, on the leader's command.
Once the squads all have said "Down", then all should attack the Hydra head, dealing damage as quickly as possible until the shields are restored. The Particle Cannon can shoot about 5 times at the head in each round if the Forcefield takedowns are coordinated well.
If this is the case, it should only take 4 rounds to defeat the head.
Once the head becomes unaffectable by attacks, the process repeats, starting from clearing force field generators of Rikti.
Successful completion of the trial awards a choice of either a Merit Reward or a multi-purpose Hydra Enhancement (level 40-43).
Characters that are exemplared for this trial will only be eligible to receive the Merit Reward.
We hope everyone will choose to go underground with The Sisterhood for our SH Sunday Event. This is a challenging trial, that can be a lot of fun.
Be sure you aren't wearing one of your good costumes, we will be in the Abandoned Sewers and they have not been maintained. Expect to get dirty.
Ohhh and don't forget to grab the history plaque that is on the left side of the corridor of the drainage arm to Steel Canyon.
See you all in Atlas Park on Sunday June 13!! -

Mission Summary:- Missions
Hope to see everyone for this fun-filled Task Force in Talos on Sunday. -
This week's Sisterhood Sunday was a double-header. We started the afternoon with the Doctors Ally badge mission thru Ouroboros and then we re-grouped and performed the necessary tasks to complete
"The Revenant Hero Project" story arc also thru Ouroboros.
The team for the Doctors Ally badge mission was as follows....
Green Eyed Lady on Dona Gellini as our Team Captain
Outlaw Woman on Lady Lizzy
Tinkerbel on Team Buff Pet
Cosmos DNA on Occulted Missle
Paul Metcalfe on Pygmy Hedgehog
stfrn on Sunny Dude
crimsonknight on Banshee of Paragon
Brassknuckles on Saint Elmos Fire
The team completed their assigned task in 12 minutes and each member earned 2 Reward Merits and The Doctors Ally Badge.
We had one more want to join us for "The Revenant Hero Project" story arc. So we divided up and formed 2 teams to ensure that everyone that wanted to experience the story arc was given the chance.
Our teams as we left Ouroboros consisted of the following team mates.
Team Green - Time 1:12:23
Green Eyed Lady on Dona Gellini - Team Captain
stfrn on Sunny Dude
crimsionknight on Banshee of Paragon
Tinkerbel on Team Buff Pet
Brassknuckles on Saint Elmos Fire
Team Cosmos - Time 2:21:23
Cosmos DNA on Occulted Missle
Outlaw Woman on Lady Lizzy
VuDu Dawl on Azazela
Paul Metcalfe on Pygmy Hedgehog
The second team had a couple of d/cs and we did what any good team mate does, we waited for the to re-boot, log back in and get back to the mission map. Everyone seemed to have a good time and accepted the debt with grace and style.
Thank you all so much for taking time out of your Sunday afternoon to spead some flashback time with The Sisterhood.
Watch The Sisterhood and Friends Upcoming Events calendar and forum board for details on next week's Sisterhood Sunday. We look forward to teaming with all of you again next week. -
Hope to see everyone there in a couple of hours.

I have a couple of toons that have been parked with the Spelunker mission. I think I should have time before the Sisterhood Sunday event to get a few runs of Spelunker completed.
