I like the look of the new forums and it's nice that you guys have new, more efficient scripts to run them and all, but over the new forums are useless to me.
Specifically, I use the forums to see what the Dev and Community red names are up to. That's broken. Will it come back? Maybe. I hear rumors, but considering I can't find any red name posts that say that I have no idea when or if that'll happen.
Also, as someone with a serious case of alt-itis I often used the FAQ pages for each archetype to get some ideas of which powers were good and which could be skipped when building a new character. Since links to old article weren't translated to the articles new URLs, those pages are now frustratingly broken.
Seriously. It took three days to port over the old messages to the new forums. Couldn't updating the internal links to other pages have been part of that process? The forums represent five years of combined work and knowledge compiled by the player base and it's all broken now.
But hey. I'm glad your scripts are working better for you now... =P

That's cool. I guessed I missed out on most of the server issues by being stuck for most of the weekend in the (so-called) Real World. Maybe I'll actually be able to play next time =)

Well the new forums *look* shiny and all, but they broke every link in existing forum notes. I thought part of the three day transfer process was that they'd make sure all those links still works fine.
Now when I go to look up years of player build FAQs in the, say, blaster forums I get a ton of broken links. All those FAQs are now useless.

really craptacular. rethink the FOW thing because its its not even like gettig socks for christmas... its like getting some walnuts or an orange. Terrible reward idea.

Are you kidding? I can't wait to be able to remove the Fog of War from zones. What would you suggest instead, yet another free costume change?

I have no idea how it would work, but it sure would be nice to have some mechanism to allow newer customers to "catch up".
[/ QUOTE ]
That would pretty much remove the whole point of these being rewards for those who have been playing (and paying!) every month since the game was released, wouldn't it?
I myself am about 18 months shy of getting these rewards. But I have something to look forward to when I get there.

I won't be happy until I can make a male hero weaing female clothes.
I've been wanting to make a character inspired by the Rocky Horror Picture Show for years.
[/ QUOTE ]
I had made one awhile ago. I wish the chest slider went lower though.
Don't dream it, be it.

Love the costume. I have tried so many times in the past to get something that close. Well done!
[/ QUOTE ]
Very nice costume, but now I'm really confused about COX's Terms of Service. Specifically, a couple of times I've had my character's costume genericized by a GM because it looked 'too close' to some existing comic book character.
I had always assumed that we could put together any design we wanted using the costume parts available to us and, as long as we didn't use an infringing name, that was fine.
So can we do non-comic book characters like a Dr. Frank N Furter as long as we choose a non-infringing name?
What exactly *is* the policy anyway? I'm tired of losing theme or homage characters...

Not when BAB says it. [citation needed]

Fixed that for ya. You're welcome.
-Bux -
Wow. Repressed much?
This new feature lets you have male and female (and huge) body types in a character's costume slots. It does NOT allow male toons (for example) to wear female costume parts. So don't worry, your virginal eyes won't have to behold a huge hero in a bikini.
Which is really a shame. I'd love to have a character named Bikini Man -- just to make the OP's head asplode, if nothing else.

It's not swarming with players as recently but it's still being used to write and deliver content. Those that like running missions to level are still doing so.
It's not the Katie Hannon of new content anymore, now it's the ITF: you run it for content or some rewards or just for fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
Glad to hear it. I myself have stayed away from MA for a few weeks. Back then one of my mid-level toons was invited onto a team that seemed dedicated to the eradication of every Rikti Communication Officer In The Known Universe(TM) and -- quite frankly -- it just left a bad taste in my mouth. No insult intended to those who want to blast through the levels that quickly, it's just not my cup of tea.
Anyway, if it seems to be calming down a bit I'll have to go check it out.
Has any official word come out on which badges are staying and which are going away?
-Buxley -
Nope. His mask is held on by a thin elastic band that wraps around the back of his head.
I'm told it breaks at the most inconvenient times.
-Buxley -
(BTW, I guessed this expansion was coming down the pike a few months ago when the "Reformed" badge went away. It's nice to be right now and then.)
-Bux -
Okay, now ya see, this new Going Rogue expansion is going to be a problem: If you guys at Paragon Studions keep pressing that dang Awesome Button, how am I supposed to be lured away by shiny new MMOs?
Talk about selfish...

Thanks for creating the arc and posting it

Thanks for the comments. I went through this morning and fixed the typos (I hate those!) and tweaked the first mission's send-off message to help explain the DE boss being there. I also want to improve his speech -- it's a little too human ATM.
Thanks again for the feedback!

LOL @ Bad_Barbie for claiming to not want to see a Bowie movie.

Do not want!
I have fond memories of riddling with you at Hero-Con 1 ("um... a match!") and will certainly miss reading your missives here.
Best of luck with all your future endeavors. You will be missed.

DB/WP rocks for PvE. In fact, my first lvl 50 was a DB/WP scrapper. I couldn't tell you how well it is for PvP though.

We've just been given the coolest news on what the MA can do and people STILL want more...
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, for those of us who won't be using the architect much if at all (no drops, and likely a ridiculous Architect Ticket -> Reward Merit conversion ratio), it'd be nice to know if the issue holds anything of interest.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes indeed! Starting with this issue there will be tons and tons of new missions to run each and every day. There will be plenty of great new heroes and villains to fight and an easy rating system so you can choose to only play the very best of the best.
Sorry if you feel that "new awesome content every day" isn't enough of a feature to justify an issue all by itself.
-Buxley -
Mission Architect is made of 100% pure high-grade Awesome and is filled with a tasty Win center.
I can't wait!

We would like to know if you stay out of sync for more than 10 seconds. The server should automatically try to /sync if you're out of sync for that long.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, still seeing it. I have a level eight tanker who, after going to Perez Park from Atlas Park this evening would snap back to the entrance after running for about ten seconds -- a *really* long rubber band. I repeated this about a half-dozen times until I typed /sync. =P
-Buxley -
I've been having /sync problems on a daily basis, a couple of times an hour sometimes, ever since Issue 12. Never had it before that.
I've had it on low-level characters too (level 4 as I recall) so I don't think it has to do with bonuses.
