  1. I'm holding a player-run Mission Architect Awards inspired by the current MA contest, I'm hoping to get as many nominations as possible from different people so if you think you've played some of the best arcs, come on over, read the rules, and give us some great nominations!

I could also use some more people to help judge the nominees to narrow them all down to 5 finalists per category. And this one's open to all players regardless of location.

BTW who are the judges going to be?
Myself, Eva Destruction, Airhead, and Grinning Spade have expressed interest. And the judges will just be narrowing the nominations down to the finalists which will be voted on.
  3. My pair up was with Pyro_Nympho and her villain Hard Drive.

    Original:

    Original Info:
Here's one of my villains...HardDrive...she's a Bots/FF Mastermind. She's known for her computer hacking pranks...thus the Corrupt title above her name. Her bots also carry the names as Malware, Spyware, Adware, Firewall, Antivirus, and Trojan. Disrupting mainframes is her speciality.

I decided that computer hacking needed a little specialized hardware, namely a cybernetic arm to allow direct access to other computer systems. I also felt like she needed a little shot of color aside from just the blue and black. So here you go:

  4. I created the category, and I feel that both multi-part as in a single arc that outgrew the filesize/mission limitations and has to have two ID #s, as well as multiple stand-alone arcs that stand alone, but very closely tie in with the other arc(s).

  6. I split lowbie range into TOs and DOs.
I changed Best European Arc to Best Foreign Language Arc.
I added Best Use of Mechanics.

I don't think I'll add best writing because I feel that's a part of every category.
Also, I think this is a good enough mix of categories that these are final.
Finally, if previous posters want to change their nominations based on the change in categories, please make a new post and mention that you are changing the nomination.

Thanks for all the support, this is really starting to shape up nicely!
  7. added pics for Matchstick Women, they're the ones I'm using for the Mission Architect contest. Wish me luck!
  8. M I could probably spell it out better than me. I listened to this most current episode where they reviewed my arc Ctrl + Alt + Reset, which has a bit of a surprise ending which they didn't spoil even though I did mark it to allow spoilers. I'm guessing the others on that episode were marked no spoilers because they seemed to tiptoe around any storyline details at all.
  9. Wow, that's really nice PowerStream, looks great. On a random note, I feel the need to make a new character... >.> ... <.< ... >.> *runs*
  10. If you have a surprise ending more or less, they won't spoil it even if you mark "spoilers yes" But they seem to be overly sensitive to any storyline specifics including boss names to those I'm guessing marked "spoilers no".

I chose 25 since that's the level that SOs start. I feel like it's more of a loose guideline.

As far as how the rest of this will go will largely depend on how many nominations there are.

If an arc gets multiple nominations, it will pretty much guarantee it's place in the final voting. All the single nominations will get split up to be played between the judges (currently myself and Eva Destruction has also volunteered) to narrow it down to 3-5 finalists for the voting which will be in another thread. So, Dalghryn - it doesn't hurt to nominate an arc that you don't see, and I'd like to see as many arcs get a chance as possible.

European Arc is intended for those on the European servers as well as foreign language arcs. If you know someone is on the European servers, you can nominate them here. If you don't know, you can nominate them anyway in another category. I'm still working out how to get prize support on the Euro servers though.

Also, I tried to avoid using the same categories as the official contest, which is why I didn't list custom group as a category.

Thanks for the discussions as well, I will clarify things a bit more in the OP.
  13. I'm trying to put together a player run Mission Architect awards (see sig) and I have included a section for best European Arc, but since I don't have any presence on the European servers, I came here looking for help as far as prizes goes, as well as to get the word out to those who are more likely to play the European arcs.

    New Dev Choices?

I sincerely hope that all the honorable mentions in this current MA contest will be awarded DC status.

I'm not sure if only the leader can see the busy message, but in any case, most people don't look for it. Hopefully this isn't the only place that the odd mix of critters is explained.
that long busy text is on all the missions, that's what he meant at the beginning by "bugging Maros before entering the mission".
  17. I tend to give a lot of my extra inf away as well, though I try to run contests whenever possible. Like The Mission Architect Player Awards. You could always help contribute.
  18. I thought this became a joke and died off. I guess I was only half right.

    City of Cute...

Ooh, kitty pictures. I've got one too, our cat Cordelia, though she's a lot bigger now.

    Free art?

All good advice, and they have worked for me. I've been hanging out here for a while, and I've got All this lovely free art to show for it. I suppose the people are nice too.
  21. Nice, I like it. What's the tights pattern? Is that from the wedding pack (which I don't have , I haven't found too much that I like to match with the new witch stuff - which I do have)?
  22. Thanks for the review of Ctrl + Alt + Reset! I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I also really love the choice in music. Much better than that one episode that put itself in the archives from the week before your first show.
  23. Thanks for the comments on Whack A Mole. I haven't tried it again recently, but with all the chained bosses, I had previously had a lot of problems getting the nav bar text to work right (It would only show the name of the first mole throughout the whole mission). I think it's actually fixed now (I currently have it say things like "There's another one behind you!" etc.) And I have been thinking about adding a bit more like extra costumes for the moles since I have plenty of room, as well as varying the dialog every couple weeks or so to get some repeated playthroughs. My favorite line currently is the shakespeare quote, I like to think it kind of comes out of nowhere. I'll think about adding something at the end. The problem is I don't think I want it to be required, but if it's not required then it won't show up in the navbar. I guess maybe it could be optional throughout. Thanks again!
  24. Serious is pretty much just non-comedy. I thought it was broader than "Drama".
