I'll try to check this out this weekend, what's the level range? You'll see it first on twitter.
-
Quote:Just to be fair here are some of the problems I can see with Shia's piece[list][*]Swan's cape/wings/whatever are showing below her, but don't seem to be coming from anywhere.[*]The numbered ribbons worked in the original piece, but when it became an ad for Arachnos ribbon training, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places don't really make sense in that context.
- The central figure's left arm, holding the flowers, looks twisted to my eye as her entire body seems to be facing in the opposite direction.
- The horned face on the left hand side is placed in a way which looks like it is growing from the shoulder of the armored figure.
- Four of the "bust" figures are obviously not looking anywhere near the central figure.
- The stage which the central figure is standing on is barely even sketched in. In fact it looks as though it was drawn with a crayon which detracts and distracts from the whole picture.
I also realize I haven't voted. It's a very tough call. -
Been overlooking this thread for quite a while now. Always had fun doing these in the pairs versions a while back. Question: This originally started with an established comic book character and moved on to some forumites. Is there any specific way you pick them? (and I would be happy to offer up Burnt Matchstick, can never have too many design ideas to choose from)
And I made one for this contest too:

The goal of this thread: to make an arc recommendation list based on player's favorite arcs. The higher up an arc is listed, the more people find that arc as one of their favorites.
How to contribute: Reply with a list of no more than five favorite arcs, in no particular order, I will take people's favorites and work them into a ranked list - based on how many people choose the arc as their favorite. The more people contribute, the better the list will be. Duplicate favorites are encouraged. Also, please do not list your own arcs, and I would recommend against Dev Choice or Hall of Fame arcs, they've pretty much already been favorited in-game. Thank you.
Also, feel free to make changes to your own favorites. Just not too often please, and keep your list no more than 5, for each new one you add, pick one of your previous favorites to remove. It's possible I may increase the maximum at some point, so double check the first post. -
I think the controller would look the most interesting as a stick figure.
-
I'll join in the fun too, make a stick Matchstick
-
I think you could technically enter a CoX themed carved pumpkin for this art jam if anything else. Though I think I would prefer to see it as a separate event.
-
I'm back in the game just in time, I will attempt to review any announced nominees for the newest Aeon Challenge. And if you want me to try to review yours before the deadline, just post a request here, though there are no guarantees, I will get to them as soon as I have time. I still need to make some Praetorians

New arc time!
Arc Name: A Clone of Your Own?
Arc ID#: 453091
Enemy Group: Freakshow, Dopplegangers
Missions: 3
Level Range: 25-54
Morality: Rogue
Description: Dr. Vahzilok's research was stolen! Why should that concern you? Let's just... keep that a secret for now. But it's a good idea to move quickly. -
getting internet back soon, and will hopefully be on again next week, hear ya then!
-
Personally, I think it would be interesting if you meant comic story as in trope (eg. evil clone, sidekick dies, hero goes "rogue" temporarily, etc.) though if you mean like story arcs in actual comics, then I got nothin.
-
love the idea for this draft by the way, you can probably watch the entries in their entirety before voting, and no voting for the one you've never heard of. (although my votes may be influenced by having no sound where I'm at)
1. Nora, the Piano Playing Cat - more prolific, and a cuter cat, in my opinion.
2. Cat Adopts Baby Squirrels vs Kittens - a book, really?
3. Gesundheit! - almost a classic
4. Pinky's Revenge - pure awful awesome
5. Ninja Cat - haven't seen that one and it was hilarious
6. Human Cat Perch - actually, the monkey one is probably more classic than the panda... but also a bit tired.
7. Dramatic Look Gopher - the other one just couldn't hold my attention
8. i are cute kitten - the other one might have been funny, but didn't have enough cute. -
This one is a very close one, and I think they all deserve #1, so I decided to vote them all #1... kinda
I also really love the humor in all of them.
1.1 Christopher Robin
1.2 Pyronympho
1.3 Shia -
I really need to get my internet going again after moving last month so I can put my new arc up, hopefully an interesting clone story.
-
Nice, now I need to find it somewhere and buy it so I can watch it again sometime. Fun draft everyone, sorry I couldn't be more involved in the last half of it.
-
If I had been around during that round, I would have also voted against Firefly.
Also: Brisco County Jr.
glad I got to see that during its run. -

Always love sketch threads, I always love seeing more Matchstick, and often just as much enjoy seeing which one gets chosen. Link is in sig for your perusal.

I'm surprised Clerks lost out to the Tick last round by such a large margin. Also a little surprised my two picks are still holding out, hope it continues.
1. The Prisoner
Never gotten into any incarnation of the Terminator.
2. Pirates of Dark Water
Gotta find some episodes of this, this draft is making me want to watch it again.
3. Afro Samurai
I'm in the anti-Firefly crowd.
4. Freaks and Geeks
Judd Apatow, he needs some love to next to Whedon and JMS (though JMS couldn't carry him through)
5. Dollhouse
Dushku
6. Dungeons & Dragons
Uni!
7. Cowboy Bebop
It's had a good showing, but this is far enough, and anime needs some love.
8. Police Squad!
Great great show. -
I have an interesting idea for this... if I get inspired enough you may just get to see something from me again this month. Purely for support/encouragement of course.
-
Nice, I did a lot better than I thought I would, and congrats CR, it's nice to see your work get appreciated here. You put a lot of effort into it and it showed.
-
1. Pirates of Dark Water
2. Cowboy Bebop
Tough call, going with the one I own.
3. Dungeons & Dragons
4. Martian Successor Nadesico
5. Freaks and Geeks
6. Police Squad!
Shirley, I can't be serious.
7. The Honeymooners
8. Clerks the Animated Series -
My nostalgia cartoon picks have moved on, while my obscure MTV shows got massacred. I expected it for Dead at 21, but was hoping for more from Undergrads except for the fact that it went up against Clerks - which I've been watching again recently.
