Here's your mission for the week: Figure out a two word search phrase that comes up with at least 10 pages of arcs. Pick one of them, play it, and review it. Be sure to share what search phrase you came up with, and how many pages of arcs it returned.
As I'm a glutton for punishment, I picked my phrase as "Enter Title" - returned 33 pages of arcs.
Reminder: Our member arc list is currently empty. The only way to re-fill it is to post your arcs again. If you're tired of these silly missions, then post your arc to add to our rotation. If you feel you didn't get much feedback on your original submission, or have made changes, you are welcome to re-submit your original arc. -
Quote:I meant that as an arc that has all of those warnings combined. If it has one or two, it could be ok. And besides, this thread is meant to be all in good fun. Not enough fun in this forum.i dont use this to turn away from arcs right away because it is not descriptive enough to determine if the offending creature is an ally or an enemy, or even a non combat escort that the person used from another arc
of course if it does have that much extreme stuff it might be questionable and/or a challenge arc meant to be tough -

A little late, but here's my review.
#CoHMA Playing The Rise and Demise or Otherwise of Tekna Logik... # 402506 by @Coolio_EU aka @ Coolio in game.
#CoHMA Contact is Lawrence Justice, a PPD officer and member of Coolio's supergroup.
#CoHMA M1: Pretty straightforward and to the point. There's a break-in at Sharpe Technologies' Tekbot facility.
#CoHMA M1: He says he didn't have enough time to give a full briefing, but there's a mission begin clue with more info.
#CoHMA M1: Except it's not really more information, just a recap of the same information.
(note: this was mentioned that it's for teammates, but teammates can fairly easily see the mission info on their own)
#CoHMA M1: Mission popup had the briefing information that seemed better suited to mission begin clue and refers to a glowie to spawn allies
#CoHMA M1: Ran into William Sharpe, CEO of the company, in full superhero gear.
#CoHMA M1: Ahh, I misunderstood the briefing. Accessing the security computer ordered all his Tekbots to evacuate from the 5th intrusion.
#CoHMA M1: I also just now realized it was a defeat all. I suppose it makes sense, though I don't recall anything saying it explicitly.
#CoHMA M1: rescued all the evacuating Tekbots, including Tekna Logik, and defeated Der Oberbefehlshaber, the head of the attack.
#CoHMA M1: And looked it up, Der Oberbefehlshaber is merely German for Commander in Chief.
#CoHMA M2: Moving quickly onto a riot that's quite possibly connected to the escaped Tekbots. Also level-cap warning due to enemies used...
#CoHMA M2: I understand that the riot is in Steel Canyon, but dropping to 20 just to fight Outcasts? Couldn't there be a better solution?
#CoHMA M2: There's TONS of patrols wondering around this map, and they're all talking about Edwardo. Reminds me of Foster's.
#CoHMA M2: Edwardo at one point says "Even if you defeat me, by 'Zeus' you will suffer." and now objective is to find out what that meant?
#CoHMA M2: Unsurprisingly found a Zeus class titan on the map. Claims this was all a distraction by Tekna Logic.
#CoHMA M3: Ooh, someone used the term "gone renegade" instead of "gone rogue". Good for you. And Tekna Logik is the one gone renegade.
#CoHMA M3: This time Coolio himself gets to come along to be my ally.
#CoHMA M3: Nav bar makes me think I might not be able to find Tekna Logik on this map, and that it's a "her".
#CoHMA M3: Enemy group is a mashup of all sorts of robotic enemies. Nicely done.
#CoHMA M3: Another defeat all, and another map with oodles of patrols running around.
#CoHMA M3: I believe all the repurposed enemies have their original bios. Would be helpful if their bio reflected their reprogramming.
#CoHMA M3: Oh good, the defeat all was so that the warehouse is now safe for the cleaners. I'm soooo relieved. No stone unturned works too.
#CoHMA M3: I really don't like missions that are a waste of time. I didn't even find any additional information or leads there.
#CoHMA M4: Still no sign of Tekna, but the PPD found a lead on the other missing Tekbot, Tactical Assault. He should be harmless... right.
#CoHMA M4: Tactical Assault is not in the objective list, 3 other field commanders first, though the recolored Vanguard bot looks nice.
#CoHMA M4: Defeated the fake leaders (recolored HVAS) and now the real leader has spawned somewhere on this large map I've already searched.
#CoHMA M4: Finally found and destroyed Tactical Assault (along with a clue calling him now Tactical Wreck)
#CoHMA M5: This crooked Faultline map always makes me a little dizzy.
#CoHMA M5: Pretty easy mission though, run to the end room, ally and Tekna Logik are in the same room. -
black and red rain of fire, I've been told looks quite a bit like a rain of blood.

I'm one of those players that looked at the trials on the beta boards and thought to myself "Those are probably too tough and/or not casual friendly enough for me to ever be interested in."
Then, they hit the live servers, everyone was playing them and saying how much fun they are, even the failed ones. I decided to hop on a couple. First one on day one or two with my completely unalpha'd MA/SR scrapper, even though I'd heard the reports that they completely murder defense (which they did), it barely failed because I, and a few others, lost sight of Marauder from trips to the hospital and we had him down to about 5% health when it timed out.
Then I tried the LFG queue on Virtue with my level shifted blaster on the BAF, things went ok until the final part when we had lost a couple people, and had already started with the near minimum, and just didn't have the co-ordination or manpower to take out Nightstar, Siege, and the reinforcements at the same time with only 10 people.
Tried the BAF again on my once again non-alpha'd scrapper, this time pre-formed full league. Things went pretty smoothly and it was a success. Not only that, but I was able to breakdown enough threads to create myself a common alpha slot.
So yeah, they convinced me in the end. -
And I realized that it's the last one I need to get TF commander. It would be great if I happened to also hit 50 at the end of it. Though, will many people be continuing to the second half of Posi? Or just running the first half?
-
And here we go for another round of On Your M-Arc #6: The Rogue Vahzilok #405340 by @Lone Superpower. The first review with a bit more of a critique to it, I'd really like to know if I come off as too nice, too mean, or not funny (where appropriate). Thanks for watching!
-
That would be awesome, though the map looks a bit small.
-
I'm not bored at all. I enjoy the new trials greatly. My solution: I've ran 3 of them so far. Totally not bored. Currently running the new Maria Jenkins arc that I hadn't gotten around to. It's very enjoyable. There's more in this game than just the 2 new trials. I've even rand the Admiral Sutter TF twice. Great fun as well.
-
Sorry I wasn't able to get this running sooner. But I'm ready to try this again this Wednesday around 8pm Eastern.
And we'll be bringing the rest of our MA Superteam next Sunday 17th at 12 noon Eastern time. Meet at the RWZ AE building. -
Here's another question: If the devs agreed and started working on a trial gathering zone... would we still have need of it by the time it was actually finished? I don't see the trials completely dying out, but I do see them becoming somewhat less popular as the new shiny wears off.
-
Yes, because no game in the history of the world has ever had crashes after releasing new content.

Quote:I understand that there's potential problems with it, the unknown quantity of leader is the biggest one. I'm just asking if these problems happen *in practice* and not just *in theory*.There are several problems with that...groups build by the queue are almost always the minimum size, or close to it. People looking to do leagues entirely with friends (and there are SGs and coalitions big enough to fill leagues to the max for the event) will pre-form. If they allow the queue to build their league, there's no guarantee that all of said friends will get it, or that the queue won't put a stranger in their place. And leagues that are built by the queue don't always have a clear leader. You'll sometimes get people used to doing things a different way than the person that ends up with the star, and the conflicting orders can and does confuse people, ending up in a very rough run. Some people wish to avoid that by joining groups with leaders they know are experienced.
-
Has anyone successfully used the LFG queue to form teams? Isn't that what it's supposed to be for, kinda? Just announce "Lambda forming, enter LFG queue to join." Does it not work that way? Then you wouldn't have to be in the same zone at all, is there a time limit for the first part of the trial, or can you wait until you're full to start?

I think an Incarnate forum is a good idea as well. Although I don't think it was necessary to bump a thread after only 7 hours.
-
Issue 21!
1) Upgraded AE UI with new search tools and improved rating system with number of "Liked" and total number of plays. As well as the ability to earn shards on non-dev choice arcs.
2) 2 new Incarnate story arcs that are soloable.
3) New zone for the next level range in Praetoria - players can still leave Praetoria at level 20, or they can choose to remain.
4) mini-revamp in Boomtown, similar to the Hollows. -
-
Jinken and I ran a successful Sutter TF with a PuG. I was technically leader, though Jinken was much more familiar with it than I was. Took a screenie, will post tomorrow probably.
-
Tonight, I suggest we run the new Admiral Sutter TF. Level 20-40 in Independence Port. If VexXxa can't make it, I'll start forming around 9 Eastern.
-
Quote:Yes - I watched from the previous thread where I got a nice piece of art.Do you have a DeviantArt account? I looked but nothing turned up. I really like your stuff and wanted to see more. (Plus add favorites so others might find your work.) It's where all the cool kids hang out 'n' stuff.
-
Sutter seems more accessible. Ran it first (before any trials) and really enjoyed it. Curious about Kal, but seems more inaccessible.
-
yes, in a tie they both got 6 points for being in 5th place (4 people ahead of them), and then it drops to 4 points for being in 7th place (6 people ahead of him)
-
Ahh yes, I forgot to mention that. Due to the low number of participants in the secret message contest (only 2), and the fact that I thought everyone did such a great job on their messages, everyone gets 1 bonus point.
And it's definitely meant as appreciation.
