  1. /seconded on sonics.

I already have a concept for a thugs/sonic. the -res taunt aura for the bruiser combined with the shields. It would be great to have a bubble set that isn't beyond boring for a MM.

    Split Decision

My vote is for bots/storm. Visually should be incredible, and you can make the bots extra durable with all 4 pet set auras.
  3. Geez that's like asking me which of my kids I like the most!!!

I really enjoyed my Bots/Dark but i would have to say that my Thugs/Pain was a fun trip to lvl and nigh impossible to kill once IO'd out.

I'm getting ready to start either a Bots/Storm or a Necro/Pain. I might drop some money on a few more slots and create both

Come to think fo it, is any MM really "no good"?

    On a team? Ninjas/Poison.

I think ninjas/poison would be very team friendly combo with double caltrops+ rain of fire, crit fire breath and noxious gas........ I want one on my team!!!
  5. Whoops I missed the "no PD" in his OP

Then I vote for Bots/Storm...... Bots with double stacked resist and def auras is awesomesauce!!!
  6. I have been toying with making a Necro/Pain. I think that the Lich and the Servant will really round out /Pain. you will have Buffs, Debuffs, Heals and control.

/Pain should be very good at sturdying up the Zombies and keeping them alive.

    Petrifying Gaze

Pet Gaze has such a bad rep. I don't know why people compare it to the holds from a "control" primary. It has the same duration/recharge ratio as the holds from trick arrow and Poison. They were designed to be less effective because they are in a debuff/buff set.

Pet gaze has 1/2 the recharge of any of the epic/patron holds with only slightly less duration.

If you compare the controller/dominator holds to any of the other holds in the game they make all of them look like garbage.

It is a reliable hold that with slotting and +rech can be stacked to hold bosses.
  8. Hmmm I'm thinking about Shard TFs. Have one person use the mission Teleport then the assemble the team power. rinse and repeat for each mission!!!!!

    Thugs MM Guide

1 other you list the 2nd upgrade as giving the arsonist, petrol bomb and ignite burn patches. The petrol bombs are the burn patches. He only gets 1 additional attack with the second upgrade.

    Notes:
As a Thugs MM, your AoE damage potential is pure carnage.
By level 12 you will already have 2 nice Cones and a AoE.
By level 24 you will have 3 Cones
By Level 32 you will have 7 Cones and 5 AoEs
All of those but the Molotov is a good heavy hitter.

The only one of those that is right is the last one.

Your pets will have 1 cone at lvl 12.
2 cones and a ranged Aoe at 18
3 cones and a ranged Aoe at 24
7 cones, 4 Ranged AoEs and 1 PBAoE at 32
  11. I have to disagree with you about the patron powers.

I have a lvl 47 bots/FF and chose to take the Black Scorpion Patron powers. 2 of his powers makes bots/ff godly.

The first is Web envelope. The aoe immobolize combined with the ignite patches from the Assault bots missles is a site to behold. Web envelope has a good duration and a low enough rechage to use almost every battle (with a recharge SO or 2)

The second power is Scorpion Shield. The Shields DEF stacks with Dispersion bubble and the Protector bots shield to give you a great amount of personal DEF. Although the shield only give DEF to smash/lethal/energy, most attacks in the game have at least part of that damage as S/L. This makes your shields fully effective against those attacks, unlike resistance shields.

The PP hold would be nice if the rechage wasnt 32 seconds (stupid). I still have yet to figure out how a hold rounds out a MMs powers, all of the secondaries except FF have a hold power in them.
  12. You forgot to mention that insulation shield grants resistance to end drain, which is very nice in the late game.

Also, the leadership abilities add resistance to some odd status effects. Assault grants resistance to taunt and placate, and tactics give resistance to confuse and fear.

Just thought you might want to add that in. Great guide BTW!!
  13. many seem to think that the pets upgrade powers will be AoE instead of single target to allow MMs to get ready for another battle after being defeated in PvP. I dont think anyone knows for sure.
