  1. New Tip missions to the level 50 set would be great! You are going to be running those a lot after all

Overall I feel the quality of the Morality system missions is very high, they are very enjoyable!
  2. The number of people needed to start one.

Seriously, WoW style raiding is horrible and I'm very sad to see that CoH is going that way.

Don't get me wrong, I love playing with other people, but it's too many, I feel I should be able to play and enjoy these with a smaller, more personal group.
  3. You are right, Mistress Rue. I should have been more detailed.

I am mostly active during the evenings and afternoons central european times, I would say 15:00-22:00 is when you most likely find me online. That is 9:00-16:00 EST.

The reason I ask for a SG is that I'd like some regular people to chat and play trough the more team oriented content with.

I enjoy playing a wide variety of characters, but these days I am mostly playing my plant/storm controller called Nimufu as I find the combination to be very fun and effective.

    EDIT:

Have you taken a look at the Union server? I know you heart Virtue (as do I), but Union is also really active and they're a great bunch of folks. RP happens daily there too.

The tough thing about Virtue is typically peak times are around 9PM-1AM eastern time (GMT-5 I think it is). And many Virtuites are also West coast USers

Best of luck in your search, but do take a poke at Union. I've chatted and RPd with them over there, and I think they're great.
I have, but it struck me as being very empty when I checked it out, Virtue seemed to have more people even durings it's off-hours. I could have been too hasty though, I'll be sure to give it a poke again
  4. Hey all

I was wondering if there was a SG around on Virtue with people who primarily play in the European timezone(s)? I'm a very active player but lately I've felt that my timezone hurts a bit. I know that there are European servers but you know... I just really like virtue

This is my main problem with the set, I tried it on a blaster and dropped the character when I found myself wishing the group would not kill the enemies too fast.

    ...

I'm a blaster and my powers are reliant on the enemies not dying too fast, wait, what?
  6. Hey guys.

I've been in a medieval mood lately and feel an urge to make a knight themed character and while I do enjoy making concept characters like this I also like to make sure my future characters will be a fun playing experience and a good helpful character for teams.

How would BS/SD compare to the popular power setups?
  7. I agree with this so very much.

The look of certain armor powers stop me from choosing certain epic power pools for example simply because I can't stand the look.

I think you hit the nail on the head there That's why I love Arachnos, they are very colorful in a perfect mix of goofy and sinister. (like comic book villians should be!)

I bet even their spoons and toilets are spider shaped.
  9. My personal theory is that he has a secret relationship with Bobcat and ends up being suffocated by her boobs.
  10. Aww, that's unfortunate. But now I know, thanks guys!
  11. Hello.

In the description of the Titan Weapons ability Arc of Destruction it says it can only be used while on the ground. Does that mean you cannot have hover on at all when using it, or can you use it as long as you are not hovering up into the air any?

I tried asking in game but got conflicting answers.

Reason for the question is that I tend to get very fond of the concepts for my characters and I have a winged TW user that hovers while fighting. It's very fun but I don't want to reach level 32 and find out I can't use the final ability.

    Soooo....

Swords and axes are all good, but I want to fight with a sofa!
  13. Thanks for all the replies, it's been very fun to read

I'll add by elaborating on my own love for plant controll I mentioned in the opening post.

The set just feels so complete and versatile to me, to the point where I have trouble playing other control sets. It's very high in damage (for a control set), it looks very cool and just feels all around powerful. A special mention going to Seeds of Confusion, in my opinion one of the best control powers in the game and you get it at level 8!

... and I love the look of the carrion wines, creepy, creepy things.. stick a damage proc or two in them and they really start to shine.

I have promised myself that I will Dark Control an honest chance when it comes out though!
  14. This is something I was talking about with a friend and I thought I could make a fun topic

In our experience most people have a powerset that they love, and usually have multiple characters with.

In my friends case it's Katana, he has several Katana scrappers and is now leveling a Katana brute

For me, it's Plant Control. I seriously love the set and have trouble playing a dominator/controller that is -not- a plant control one!

    What is yours?
  15. If you are into playing in teams It's also incredibly fun to level as from a very early level you'll be messing up spawns so badly it's just funny pre-20.

... And it's so visual everybody will know it's you who is doing it.

And concept! Oh my, so much that makes perfect sense. Witch, druid, nature spirit, wizard it and a hundred more things make perfect sense in every way.

    I love plant/storm so much.
  16. Why.. oh god, why are certain sets still stuck with a game mechanical penalty because of their concept?

    IT MAKES -NO- SENSE!
  17. My Plant/Storm controller.

I've mostly been a melee player (I'm a scrapper above all else) and then one day I thought; hey, why not try something completely different?

And oh boy am I glad I did, I am a teaming kind of person, I almost never solo and let me tell you in teams a plant/Storm controller is the most awesome thing ever, you mess up large spawns so badly it's just funny.

And it's also, very.. very visual so everybody will SEE you mess them up, if that's your thing
  18. I ended up making a Fire/Dark corruptor and it's very fun (level 20 right now) Hovering over the Tar Pit using Rain of Fire and Fireball on all a large group of enemies is seriously fun.

    Thanks for the help
  19. Thanks for more answers

The Fortunata/Crab option is an interesting one, but I feel I will save that for later as they don't quite fit the concepts I had in mind.

Having looked at the powers and done some research, I'm pretty set on a fire/dark corruptor.

The Peacebringer option has me interested though as I have zero experience with Kheldians, if I wanted to try a human form peacebringer for a hover-blaster role, how much knockback are we talking about?
  20. Wow, you guys are fast. Thanks for the replies!

I'm leaning more towards corruptor now, thinking of either fire/dark or fire/storm (don't worry, I'm the good kind of storm user). What do you think of that? The main reason is Tar Patch and Freezing Rain, I think they would be great for that kind of character.

    Quote:
Or, since it didn't come up, a Peacebringer might be a decent option you might want to look into.
Peacebringers seem very interesting, but I think their powers are full of knockback? I try to avoid knockback as I find it very annoying when I play melee characters myself.

    Quote:
though you might also want to give Dominator a look, too.
That is true! What kind of powerset combination would you say would be good for that style of play?
  21. Hey all,

Recently I've been itching to create a winged "hover blaster" kind of character but I'm a bit torn on if it should be a Corruptor or a Blaster and I'd like to hear your opinion.

A blaster is (for me) the AT that first comes in mind for the concept of raining fiery death from above but to be honest their secondaries are not all that interesting to me, while corruptors have some seriously cool secondaries (but lower damage?)

What would you do? Some recomdations for power sets are also welcomed
  22. Haha, I always have trouble with the 20-30 range because of this! It's like... wow ... what am I going to spend these levels on? And there's that I almost always team, so levels just fly by.
