Good catch. I was looking at the original power, as I designed it, rather than the reworked version that was done later. For scrappers, it is scale 3.6 on the Minion_Pet table, which is a far cry from the scale 1.4 on the Minion_Pet table I originally designed for it. I vaguely remember someone (Synapse? Sunstorm? I'd have to dig into check in notes to see) asking me if they could update it to include AT Mods in the damage scales and saying yes.

Hmm...yeah, ok. I can very easily see what happened here.

Shield Charge when released was set for a scale 1.7 damage to all targets within 20' of impact, with 0.7 scale bonus within 3' of impact. When the change to allow AT scaling was made, the bonus damage was rolled into the overall damage, for a scale of 2.4 to all targets in a 20' radius. At the same time, instead of have Brutes getting a mod of 0.75 applied, they were treated as the base.

    So, instead of:
    Brutes 3' scale 1.8, 20' scale 1.275
    Tankers 3' scale 2.04, 20' 1.445
    Scrappers 3' scale 2.7, 20' scale 1.9125

    We get:
    Brute 20' scale 2.4
    Tanker 20' scale 2.712
    Scrapper 20' scale 3.6

    That REALLY sucks.
    then later

    Quote:
You're right. I did use .85 instead of .8 for the math. I always think of tankers having a .85 mod for some reason. I've been making that same mistake for years. Thankfully, the game applies the mods instead of me having to pre-calculate things, so it's not as bad as it COULD be.

FWIW, nothing is going to be done about this for now. It's too big and widespread of an issue for me to unilaterally decide on how to approach it. I'll give folks a heads up on what is decided as soon as I know.
  2. Like UberGuy said nothing, Dark Melee as been buff and Siphon life is a great attack with a nice little heal that goes great with /SR. The only they you can said that made DM/SR a weaker combo is Shield Defense. With a lot of inf, and I mean a lot, DM/SD beat DM/SR in every way.
  3. I'm not that good with screenies but I did find this
Tips on taking screenshots hope it helps.
  4. I do find the Reichsman fight to be a bit tedious too. The other day I was asking my self why I don't run this TF that much. Later that day I saw someone was running it so I join the team. Was having a lot of fun till we got to the Reichsman fight which took us around 35 mins. It was just long and after the first 15 mins I was ready for the fight to be done. Now I know why I don't run this TF that much. It just feeling like I'm beating up a big punching bag of HP, which is not fun to me.

I would love to see Reichsman have half the HP.

ya I should look at what I rewrite to make sure it makes sense
  6. Well I like Shield Defense more than Inv, but you really can't go wrong with either. My Fire/Shield Defense and Dark/Shield Defense were a blast to lvl up to 50.

Dark Melee will make you More survivability because of Siphon Life. It is a great attack and it gives you a little heal every time you use it. So it will just make it that much harder to kill you. The only thing about Dark Melee is the lack of AoE. That's why I love it with Shield Defense, you get a great AoE at lvl 35.

Fire Melee does great ST and AoE damage, but it just does a lot of damage, doesn't really add to your survivability. So if you do when more survivability you will want to go with Dark Melee.

Now for the powers pools I like to take the Fighting pool for Tought and Weave. Weave is a good power to have because it helps you get more defense and closer to the Soft cap. On most of my Scrapper I end up taking the Leaping pool too for combat jumping again for the +defense it gives.
  7. This is something that I wanted for sometime now

This. The only reason I want it for Scrapper is so we don't get this monthly argument. I would play it and I don't need it I have my SS/SD Brute and with GR if I want I can bring him Hero side so I don't really need SS for a Scrapper.

    My Kat/SR build

    Quote:
Well let me know what ya think, and well first time frankensloting so it would be cool to give me an idea of how much im looking to spend here lol
Well just looking at it that build would be over 3 billion inf easy. The Gladiator's Armor:+3 Def is 2 billion only.

I never six slot a purple because of ED for Damage is way over and last set bonus is not that good. In Soaring Dragon you don't need the Damage/Rech to run GD>GC>SD>GC So I would move the slot or put a proc like Mako's Bite: Chance for Damage(Lethal) it will do more damage over time with that.

Now in Golden Dragonfly you need to rech to run the attack chain but I would still take out the Dam/Rech and put in Obliteration Acc/Dam/End/Rech. That will give you the rech you need without losing any damage and it will have better end in the attack.

Can I ask why you have the Stealth pool? If it is for the more Defense Drop it because Combat jumping is better. If it is for Stealth I would say still drop it. You have the +Stealth IO in Sprint and that with Super Speed is pretty much invisibillity and only a few thing will see you but the few things that will see you will always see you.

There is still some other stuff but I don't have time right now.

That's terrible, having the prompt pop out every single time was extremely frustrating.
Also the fact it has a somewhat short time to accept it, and like it was already said, having the prompt pop up during fight is just bad and very annoying.

I'm very disappointed at this change.
Make an option to auto-accept or don't change back.
I'm very disappointed with this too, I was hoping for an option to auto-accept. having to hit yes every single time is annoying and it is really annoying when you already have the buff. I don't know how many times I've had it pop up when I already have the buff it gets real frustrating. I was hoping for an option to auto-accept.

You have 3 toggles at .21 end/sec base and one with .16 end/sec base... Contrast that to Invuln's 3 toggles. 2 at .26 end/sec and one that is .21 end/sec. Or Dark Armor's 3 that are .21, two that are .52, one that is .26, one that is .08. SR has 3 toggles at .26 end/sec base too. SD is looking pretty low on the end usage. >.>

I don't see any set that Pine listed to have a end recovery power. Also /SR as the same type of Mezz protection. If you think Shield Defense is End Heavy then all Scrapper Secondary but Regen are end heavy.

  17. Broad Sword will work well with /Willpower. Broad Sword is more of a heavy hitter and nothing like samurai really.

If he likes fistfighting and boxing I would say Dark Melee/Willpower would be good. Dark melee is all fighting with the hands and is really good. The only thing bad about this combo is the lack of AoEs. Dark Melee is still a great set to play and gives you Siphon Life which is a great attack and heal. Siphon life again makes /Willpower that much tougher.

Martial Arts would be good to you can change a lot of the kicks to punches now, but I'm just not that big of fan of Martial Arts.
  18. I have both BS/SD and SS/SD at 50 and both are very fun to play. The only big difference that I see with /SD for Brute is that Shield Charge as a damage cap of 400% so the Brutes will do way less damage. With a Brutes Fruy and AAO and the slotting in the attack it will be close if not at the damage cap. With my Elec/SD brute I don't even need to hit build up because it doesn't help But still SS/SD is a blast to play and one of my favorite toon to play.

Kat/WP is very good for a new player or someone new to Scrappers. /WP is very easy just fire and go. Kat gives you Divine Avalanche which makes /WP very tough. It gives up really nothing at the end and plays up really well. Kat/WP is what I tell most people to play when first trying out a Scrapper.

Pretty much this. Shield Charge is up for every spawn, while I would love to have Fireball I didn't really build this toon to take down groups fast it was more to take down AV fast. So it was easy for me not to take fireball and take Conserve Power and Physical Perfection. Those two powers will help me more in an AV fight.

    SD - Grant Cover

It's a good power and I always try and take it. However most of my /SD are tight build and there are other powers that I like to take before it or power pools like Fighting, Fitness. I take Fighting before it because I want more def from weave so that takes 3 powers, and I usually don't get weave till lvl 38 or 30. With all my /SD at 50 only one doesn't have GC because I wanted Fireball with it and that takes up more powers too. It is a good power and I try to take it but other powers just seem better to take before it. I end up taking it most of the time at 47 or 49.
  22. Started this today with Talbein Vikshus as captain. Having a lot of fun and good luck to all who are doing this!
