Which is only a problem if you have 5 purple sets already and if you do, you can always keep the set at the non-superior version for a generally better +RCH bonus than most other sets.

As long as I never get the Wolf, I'll be happy! It's the only think in the packs I won't likely use. Everything else, while possibly not what I would normally purchase (in game or in the market) I'd at least use.
-
I've gotten 3 DPs to lvl 50 (RAD/DP, DP/Time, DP/Mental) and while the AOE is okay (imo), the ST just lacks terribly :/

Why havent they made a movie with Abe Lincoln that has him having a nazelly voice like they say he had in real life?
It could add some comedy to it! -
Quote:You know, I would of likely been more accepting of Starfire's change into the animated version with the reboot. So, I admit there is a point to trying to get the 2million fans of the cartoon into the comics.I feel like going back and forth, actually.
The problem with Starfire is that DC is just doing bad business. The 'waifu' Starfire was popular with over a million viewers. The original Starfire was in a book that sold maybe 10,000 copies. If DC wants readers, they should do things that people *like*. The waifu Starfire was such an obvious success, why not reboot the character into *that*?
All of DC's work lately seems to have the same problem -- they're just using bad business sense. It's like someone in the boardroom is making choices based on how badly they can screw up their brand. Power Girl is another example. If you have a character known for her sexuality, you *play that up*, not down, if you want to sell books. DC is just being stupid.
(Personally, I think Power Girl should get her abilities from 'girl power', and be a sexual vamp on par with Catwoman. Whereas Catwoman, coming from a hard childhood, should be much more demure and skittish than her 'New 52' outrageousness. Ah, if only they'd let me write those comics...)
I continue to buy Red Hood, so I'm giving the reboot a shot. I don't think it's been TERRIBLEOMGWTF just...*sigh* sometimes it's just the little things. Like getting rid of Jubilee's blue eyes. Really? That had to be done? -
Second highest grossing film of 2011, not suprised to hear another sequal is coming.
And while I hope for better/more plot, I'm still going to be in theatre opening night watching it -
Over 200 with KM/WP without incarnates but fully IOed

Quote:Witch Set isn't slutty.Outside note, the elemental order pack went live today.
Ok, at what point do we start calling it a streak? Fair question right? Should we start at the Carnie pack? Also in the other packs you named, females didn't get less they just got more slutty picks instead. I completely agree with those who were annoyed by that. -
Quote:You got lucky thenI must say, the drop rate of items is MUCH better than when it was being tested.
Just opened all 24 packs and I got the entire Elemental Order costume set, the Black Wolf pet and 2 sets of ATO's that I can use without converting them.
Kudos Devs and Marketing! Good job! I R Happeee!!!
No wolf here (dont want it either tho)
No complete set of ATOs just by opening packs.
But did get all the Elemental Order set.
And that was with opening 48 or 50 packs. -
Because I'm waiting for a Positional Defense/Regen set with some okay S/L/Psi defense!
totally for concept and currently using WP to simulate it. But that's typed defense! Technically that's not game mechanics for agility
Oh, and a toggle mez shield! That's for my own happiness and less with the concept tho. -
Quote:The gender exclusive pack was because it was a mostly female NPC group, with the males able to make those outfits that the enemy had already. Or is this just about the sash?Oddly I have more clothes than my wife. Granted most of them are variations of T-shirts, Cargo Shorts, and Jeans. I get the joke...
All of this could be solved by porting the gender neutral items from female to male, and not releasing ANY more gender exclusive costume packs, be they male or female. -

Quote:I love the female gunslinger belt! Who can hate that?!The Carnival of Light pack, for reference, has 10 costume pieces (female only) and three weapons (Carnival of Light Mace, Carnival of War Mace, Carnival of Vengeance Mace). The gunslinger pack, as it exists right now, has 29 pieces, which amounts to badass for the male and huge models and saloon girl for the female models. You are angry that female characters will have access to badass costume options just because they still have access to the saloon girl options that a lot of people didn't like in the first place.
Your complaint has no merit and less substance. Let it go. You're not losing anything, you're not being hurt, you're not being oppressed. You don't even seem to understand what the complaints about the gunslinger pack in the first place were about. -
You have to remember big cities are still not where most live.
And having lived in a big city for a long time, unless times have really changed that much, only corsets being worn is not popular.
Unless it's an east coast thing. -
Quote:I figure you get all the costume pieces regarless and you only limit yourself if you dont use both genders which is a choice.I don't agree with the divide in costume content, and I've already said that I refuse to argue that point. My case is that I'd be perfectly happy if the devs decided to delete the saloon girl outfit altogether and just roll in the cowboy gear.
Let me break it down for you:- I have no problem with males getting A and females getting A.
- I have no problem with males getting A and females getting B.
- I have a BIG problem with males getting A and females getting A + B.
(And FYI, I would also have an issue males getting A+B while females only got A or B. Or at least I would have before the Carnival of Light pack... now I'd say we're pretty much owed some new stuff, but I know we're not going to get it.) -
Quote:For KM (and most sets) Id put the proc in Assassin Strike. For KM Id really put it in AS...AS for high damage, proc goes off, Concentrated Strike from hide, BU recharges, repeatOh, they're not actually IOs, more like HOs? then I guess they work regardless. you can't buy them with reward merits or astral merits without currently being a VIP subscriber and they have a 4-day cooldown timer on each purchase, so that's sorta ehhh
glad the stalker changes are going in or they would've been balancing the gimpy stalker AT around a required IO proc. If that works in an AOE and checks on each enemy that gets hit instead of just a single chance on activation then slotting it into something like KM's Burst that would be good times good times, having a 100% area crit from hide that could almost guarantee a placate...ha. -

Quote:Or it's not because they've found that female pieces sell more. You might want to rethink your argument when they're creating one costume for all models (male, female and huge)... PLUS an entirely different costume specific to females-only.
THAT sounds to me like an unrealistic expectation for the usage of developer time, yet it's apparently what we get. -
Quote:It's not that bad really. I prefere the AOE of KM myself. PBAOE versis a 2 cones. Thanks all, I've started up a Km/nin to check it out!
I also can't quite shake the thematic lure of Ninja Blade, I'm pretty set on Kinetic Melee but I'd still like to ask how Ninja Blade compares to the rest of them?
ST wise, I think KM will put ahead at least in i22 and with the Stalker Hide IO.
Also has the advantage of not being strictly S/L damage. -
Quote:Now that is nice!I think it's nice that they can be acquired with reward merits but not alignment merits, so it's actually easier to get them on Vigilantes and Rogues than Heroes or Villains. Which, given how much more value 1 alignment merit has than 60 reward merits, is a good change.
Now, if they'd give vigilantes missions in the vein of Rogues, we'd be set! Or maybe it's just me who loves the Rogue missions but hate not being able to end the SG base while a rogue. -
Quote:Best way to know is to test it, see if you like KM.Thanks guys
My eyes have fallen on Kinetic Melee, from what you say and what I can see it seems pretty awesome, and what's more I like how it looks and the concept fits well with ninjutsu too (though I'm pondering maybe taking Energy Aura instead?)
I'm also pleased that the stalker version does not have that AoE Knockback power Kinetic Melee usually comes with.
As for NIN vs EA. Tough call.
I like the concept behind NIN myself. Positional Defense + Self Heal, but I hate the clickie mez protection. It also lacks KB protection, so that might be a factor for you (Softcap defense means KB happens way less often and 1-2 KB Resist IOs cover the times when you get hit).
EA has a lot of things going for it, but it has it's own holes, but is still an awesome set, and personally I love that it doesn't have the mez protection tied to an enemy debuff power (like Brutes/Scrappers), so you can continue to stealth without worring about Mez Protection or not.
Really, I think you can get the ninja concept with either set. Can just as easily show that in the costume. -
My suggestions...
ELM
KM
StJ
ELM has the AOE and with i22 the ST. I'd say Stalker make out the best with ELM.
KM with Hide Proc and i22 changes makes Build Up practically permanent.
StJ has it's AOE, and oh hey look, 2 attacks (AS plus one other) to make a tier 3 CU!
