Quote:I like it!..test image for echo bat..

dont think I can post it here so, heres a link.

..anyway.. its missing something but you get the general idea of it all..
..think im just gonna redo it some and make it a bigger image.
(( the background and type font are not what I want ))
Though you say it's missing something, but something you may consider is a little cute chibi bat in the background staring at her with little hearts in it's eyes.
Or possibly not. It was just me thinking something up to go with it. -
A thought I just had. When they say theme, do they mean concept or did they mean game mechanics?

You can buy 1 every 4 days, per character!
So don't claim all the reward merits on one character, and email yourself some influnece. -
Quote:Yeah...nice when the momentum builder is a 1 second attack. They probably won't let that happen. Here's my problem with TW on stalkers: Rend armor already has what will obviously be the assassin's strike animation, so stalkers probably won't get to keep rend armor as a regular single target attack. Ouch, man! Although, come to think of it, I wonder if AS will build momentum. If that's the case, who case what attack the set loses, you'll never have to fire a momentumless attack after the first one of the engagement.

Quote:It could be some secondary power set abilities just won't give the proc it's greatest effect. But it seems it's at least still working.I am seeing the same thing with regards to offensive toggle, chilling embrace is what I'm using as well. When it is turned on, it seems like the crit only occurs every once in a while (almost like the standard 10% chance of crit). It's as if the toggle is causing a hit before the next attack and therefore it does not get the proc crit?
When I have chilling embrace turned off, so far I have crit every time after AS. I queue next attack immediately after hitting AS.
I am using the non-superior version of the proc, DB primary using ablating strike after AS, and have been testing on the small packs of prisoners around the Zig (425 so far) as a level 34.
Not sure if this helps, but at least wanted to share what I'm seeing. : )
But one can take that as really bad. -
Quote:You just have to love the science booster pack power. Not sure if you're accepting more submissions to go in the big box of potentially cool art, but wanted to throw my hat into the ring with the Andromeda Knight.
Pictured: The Andromeda Knight: too shiny for his shirt
The Andromeda Knight, an invincible giant robot powered by a living power core that forms a life support system for the crippled Kheldian, Corona Shield. With the Kheldian's strength, the upbeat - and sometimes hammy - robot fights for things like mom and apple pie with fists of steel!
Except that's a lie.
The reality is that the Andromeda Knight is actually piloted by the young Yung-li Slate, his builder and "mechanic." She is the true heart of the Knight beneath the armor.
Pictured: Yung-li Slate, Andromeda Knight's mechanic, and secretly his pilot -
I don't mind them being locked behind content, I do wish they had their drop chances upped just a little bit on the TPN.

Quote:Which I would say isnt the norm on the solo part, and like I said, solo wise.Depends on your play style a bit. If you regularly team with a kinetics player having the higher damage cap means that you at at it all the time. The Brute's taunt aura means that you'll be getting the maximum number of mobs hit with fulcrum shift each time.
Solo, if you are playing a primary that has a decent variety of and/or fast recharging AoE and you choose an epic with fast recharging AoE you can keep yourself at (or near) the damage cap by munching and converting insps especially if you write macros to convert the insps quickly. A brute with lots of AoE can (if you are a power gamer/farmer and practice) self damage cap this way because insps drop faster than you can eat them.
Though, I'm not sure if Brute at constant damage out damages Scrappers or if it's based on certain primaries.
Damage cap Brute vs damage cap Scrapper...no idea. -
With i22 and Stalker ATO Proc...I'd say you could get a lot out of KM on a Stalker.
IOed build, but no +DMG from Incarnates abilities (so no Interface or Musculature), I was pretty much able to get a constant 80% damage buff on my KM/WP by keeping BU as part of the attack chain. -
Quote:While I dont have the post to quote, it was said due to themetic reasons.I honestly don't know what you read, I haven't seen that post that the devs made. But what it sounds like is that they gave a justification as to why stalkers don't have access to shield and titan weapons. If you wish to enlighten me, please post quote of that post. But what I'm left with is that what you are doing is making stalker the definition of assassin in COH and I don't think that is the case. I think stalker is synonymous with assassin as in all stalkers are assassins, but not the definition of assassin such that all assassins are not stalkers.
However, they said they didnt think there'd be such an outcry for a lack of Titan Weapons on Stalkers, and would port it over to Stalkers at some point.
Personally, I just want the huge weapon skins for the Stalkers. I can make it work themeticallyAnd will once it's brought over to Stalkers. I never even thought of the set as it was mechanically, and usually imagined it more as just a HUGE FRIGGIN SWORD! \o/

Quote:Interresting, putting all the sliders to the left, I never thought made them look less human. I thought it tended to give them a rather young appearance, based on the height they're at.I've moved the slider all the way to the left on certain characters to deliberately make them look less human.
The example that sticks in my mind is the plant/human/machine hybrid that wants to turn all flora, fauna, and machina into clones of herself via giant magical blender. This character existed prior to most of the cool android/clockwork features, self-destruct, and even the good "planty" looking costume parts. with just the blast look and some deliberate tweaks to the appearance to make her look slightly "off," I created a character that looked like she did not match the average human.
The best part was that the small tweak there only made her bust look even bigger, so nobody noticed the disturbingly inaccurate proportions until they read my bio and realized what the character was. -

For many, Brutes doing a bit less damage than Scrappers (which if I'm not mistaken, Scrappers win in the damage department with this combo), is more than made up with an aggro aura (though I have no idea how good SR's is, it's still more than nothing) to keep themselves surrounded and not chasing after enemies and higher survival, which in this case is just a matter of extra HP and the extra regen that gives.
Note however, this is going the solo route. And outside of a few minutes of staying at the damaage cap by downing a bunch of reds, having a higher damage cap means nothing if you can't reach it solo. -

Quote:Same place as Kathie Jung (have no desire to link /that/ image) who was a skinnier waist that's not even possible to recreate in game.Mmm, yes I do generally increase the physique along side my shoulder/breast/waist adjustment. Of course then I run into clipping problems all over the place, but you take the good with the bad.
BrandX I realize it's a comic book standard, anime standard, whatever, but it still looks really, really stupid to me. I mean where are these women hiding their innards?!
My point being, the same place as everyone else. -
Quote:But that's a comic book hero standard. Even an anime standard.I think it means that they generally shouldn't look like they're going to snap in half of their own accord, much less if that Warwolf glances at them.
Max shoulders without a physique increase tends to make the shoulders look bizarre and almost disjointed to me, though. -

Dark/Time/Fire waiting to be made! Name waiting to be rerolled! Concept made perfect!

I'd put the purple set into Seeds of Confusion.
I'd think Vines would be the best place to put it since Vines doesn't do damage, and the Troller set doesn't increase damage. -
Quote:I had thought about that, but even at softcap, against enemies I'd want the best DPS for, I always found myself getting interrupted. :/There is an issue with the proc in that it takes half a second to fully activate. You can queue an attack before then, and this attack won't get the critical hit bonus, but since the attack lands when hidden status is up it takes hidden status away.
I have the ATO set and proc on Concentrated Strike from Kinetic Melee, and it ROCKS!. The proc triggers nearly 100% of the time, and with it I can pull off some mad combos. Currently, I have two chains that I use. First is against a group in general:
Build up -> AS from hide -> CS (proc) -> Burst from hide -> other stuff
And this is good for doing severe damage to one target while thoroughly debuffing the spawn and doing medium damage to it. However, if I am fighting a strong single target like an EB or an AV, I use this chain:
BU -> CS from hide (proc) -> 2nd BU -> AS -> another attack or two -> placate -> CS from hide (proc) -> BU -> AS.
The damage output is insane. With Musculature Core Paragon and my current setup (18.5% damage bonus from sets), that AS dishes out 1950 damage in a single strike. Now, I like to do that since I can go "Oh hey, I hit nightstar for 2000 damage. Isn't that nice?", but I am aware this isn't optimal. Some time from the first buildup is wasted on the second build up, so I'm losing some damage there. The alternate version of that chain is where I don't use that second buidlup. CS from hide means build up is always ready for when I begin the chain again, and this is a more efficient use.
Now, I know it seems like it is a good idea to slot the proc in AS, and it kind of is. However, the move which benefits the most from the proc is AS itself. AS from hide is the strongest attack that any stalker can learn barring AoE moves. It is somewhat gimped by requiring placate, but even then it had a DPS higher than most attacks. With the ATO proc, you can use AS from hide without needing that extra time for placate, pushing your DPS into the "insane" category.
Though, I'd be curious as to the DPS of said chain compared to the one I came up for my KM/WP (BB - SB - FB - AS - CS - BU - Repeat) -
Sounds like what we need is to have Staff Fighting available for the double xp weekend!

Quote:Where did I say nerf? o.ONo it doesn't. We have only recently begun to OVERCOME the "heroes get the good stuff, villains get a rock" concept. [With the exception of EAT vs VEAT, which is still and shall forever remain villain > hero, hahaha.] Villains still, to this day, have more to overcome than heroes do. Their homeside content is more difficult, and there are fewer teams to get those rewards ON.
How about let's don't nerf villain rewards? Thx.
I said I was for giving the villains things if it made sense. In fact, I said give if it makes sense period.
But then I also did say people need to get over the "Heroes this" "Villains that" -
Quote:Now that I don't understand. Going around with mutant powers for example, means what? They have to look like they're muscled up on steroids? All my female characters get max shoulder slider, max waist slider, min chest/breast slider. The whole wasp waist thing looks stupid as hell, especially on people who are meant to be powerful. Also, this game does an absolutely horrible job of modeling breasts on women.
Personally, I always considered max shoulder sliders to look terrible :/ -
Quote:You really don't have to stealth around at all with them, and can easily make it a battle-rogue type.Traditionally, I don't really like the stealth playstyle. Even in WoW, my rogues were battle-rogues who rarely used stealth. I just find stealthing around to find the optimal time to pounce slows down the play a little too much for my liking. Not that it is bad, just not my personal cup of tea.
Now, I haven't tried the Stalker AT yet since I;ve come back to CoH, but I assume, from watching them play and from reading stuff here on the forums, that I am not completely wrong in my assumptions of the playstyle. If I am, please let me know!!
For me, I used Stealth as a grab the glowie, or head straight to boss type of deal, when I didn't want to clear the mission.
And opening with Assassin Strike if I happened to be hidden at the time.
Then run to the next group, if I was hidden AS, if not, basically keep scrapping.
Basically that's how I've been playing Stalkers since the beginning.
