Epic ATs are still linked to storylines and dont even enter the tutorial. They go straight to AP or Mercy.

Quote:Why would you want to put Scrappers below the sweet spot of sustained Fury, for damage? It may depend on primary, or how aggressively one plays to build fury. At low levels with limited endurance and recharge, some attack sets don't build fury very well, and it can be hard to keep in end to maintain it, though if you get it going, blue inspiration drops may keep you rolling. Lucks help too, because they can allow you to pile into more foes, building/sustaining Fury better.
There's has to be range where a Scrapper's damage is above low-end lowbie Brute performance but below the sweet spot of sustained Fury, and relative feel may depend on both sets chosen and aggressiveness of play.
I would think the sweet spot for Scrappers would to always be slightly above a maxed fury Brute who can keep it sustained.
Thus the trade off for less survival for more damage. -
Quote:And now you're playing for free where before you would have not been able to play at all without paying the sub.Even that is going to take a long time just to use IO's that I've earned throughout my game time.
So, I'd say it's fair for you to either pay the 2 dollars a month, or get up to tier 7.
You worked for them before. And then when you went inactive on the sub, you couldn't play them at all. Same thing. -

Quote:If they're to do that, I vote it be Positron. This!
We need a few dudes as slutty as folks like Mother Mayhem to equal things out. Typically, I would not support such an idea... but since boob-toons like her aren't going away, the Devs might as well play fair. Also, I think we need at least one GLBT character in-game... I don't think the Lore makes anyone officially fall into that category. -

Quote:1) Increased Damage to Dual Pistols patch! ^_^Next question.. well, two halves anyway..
What is the one thing you would hands-down, no questions, wish was in the market to purchase ?
And on the flip-side,
what is the one thing you absolutely do not ever want to see in the market ?
2) The ability to purchase influence! -
Quote:Duoed it with a DB/WP Scrapper and a Dark/Dark Corr.Quite possibly you might be referring to a duo MoLG of approx 1:35 I did quite some time ago which is a record I've broken several times since.
In light of the discussion though I should add that once we aimed to get under half an hour for the first time 2 corrs no longer seemed to work.
Contrarily to other TFs where me and my duo partner always found we got the best results by staying on corrs the LGTF's specific set of requirements caused me to swap mine out for a Fort to set the currently standing record.

Using a scrapper on this, however, would definitely make things needlessly headache-inducing if not near impossible.
May not have been a speed record (we werent trying to make one anyways), but we did it.
Scrappers built for it can do it. I think there are some sets will have a better time of it than others however.
StJ Scrapper for instance can have two holds with the epic hold and the tier 3 Crushing Uppercut. -
Quote:Yes. It accounts for more terrible writing on CoH's part to introduce Foreshadow. Or it shows Foreshadow is the sue people claim others of being as you have the strong Statesman taken down then the other stronger hero shows up with no explanation for how he got that way, we're just to assume he's all that.On the contrary, I believe "personality" has a lot to do with why Foreshadow gets mentioned so much. Consider what's happened to pretty much all the Phalanx members who've shown up in the SSAs: They've been depicted as gigantic ******** or heedlessly incompetent, to the point where some people are actually afraid for the characters whenever any are involved in storyline.
It's true that Foreshadow hasn't had much of a chance to develop his character, but that also means that he hasn't had a chance to annoy us and disappoint us. Foreshadow is, in large part, a mystery. He's a possibility. I honestly don't know much about him, but from looking at his appearance and from what I've heard, he sounds like he could be a very cool character. I have no real information, so my brain fills in the blanks. Because his appearance predisposes me to like him, my brain is also predisposed to assume his personality and story are also likeable. That's pretty much the trick to the "mysterious stranger" that seems to be so popular at least among popular fiction polls.
Plus, he has that really cool promo video where he fights Circle of Thorns while the Statesman spends the entire time immobilised by glowing orange hentai tentacles. That counts for a LOT.
Must be his look and that he hasn't opened his mouth yet. Mind you that goes a long way too. Sooo, you could be right. -
Do you have end issues?
Cardiac buffs the resists and helps the end issues A LOT! -
Quote:It does seem like a middle of the road set for a so far AT unique set. That's it! Give each toggle shield resists! To put it simply, this would be a nerf to a set that is middling in the first place. While the devs have shown themselves willing to make changes that some find objectionable during proliferation (combining night fall and torrent into one power, dropping combustion for incinerate), they've never outright made a set worse. What I suspect ninjitsu would actually get get during a port given their current attitude is buffs.
Smashing Resist in the melee defense toggle and Lethal Resist inthe range/aoe toggle! -

Did Penny's new outfit get inspired from Cap?

Quote:Well this is just the beginning still. sneak peek at unfinished product.Might buy: Female Shoulders, Gloves, and Boots on the gray costume example, and Female shoulders on the red costume example.
Probably won't buy: Female Skirt on gray costume example.
Definitely won't buy: everything else.
The male costume set just looks really bland to me. -

I will have to put my vote in for...
The backpacks are NOT to big! -
Quote:You're forgetting that you're level 8 and 15.Not at Level 8(Widow), not at Level 15(Defender). I agree more powers mean more options. I have all my options as slotted as I can. I don't have the Infamy/Influence to slot more. Hitting everything as it comes up. Not taking on more than one or two guys a time. Simple, basic, sensible. Hitting everything at the right times. I do not understand WHY I am dying, but I am. It's part of why I'm asking 'What am I doing wrong'?
Power picks:
Defender Build 1(Initial):
Cold Domination: Ice Shield, Glacial Shield, Infrigidate, Snow Storm
Radiation Blast: Irradiate, Neutrino Bolt, X-Ray Beam.
Speed: Flurry, Super Speed
Defender Build 2(Offence, after taking some licks):
Cold Domination: Ice Shield, Glacial Shield, Snow Storm.
Radiation Blast:Irradiate, X-Ray Beam, Neutrino Bolt, Electron Haze.
Leadership: Assault, Tactics
Most random packs here in Steel Canyon are twos and threes, sometimes four for Minions, one or two Lieutenants or Bosses. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong other than attacking in the first place. No difficulty mods. In the missions is hard too.
Maybe I'm missing something.
that's not a lot of powers, that's not a lot of slots, and that for sure isnt a lot of enhancements in powers. -
Quote:Never understoof people's love of Sacha Baron Cohen either.I honestly, seriously, and totally do not understand people's love of Sacha Baron Cohen. I didn't find that funny at all, and sympathize with Ryan Seacrest having to stand around in a dirty suit and get made fun of for hours (and for days after, due to people's inability to move on from bad jokes).
Though really, were people making fun of Ryan Seacrest? -
Well this one seems to allow art depictions of the NPCs, so with that being the case...tie...
Ghost Widow, Numina, Ms Liberty and Sister Psyche.
Of those, I think Liberty tends to get the most flak, but I like her character. -
Hmmm...this is a tough call! Do we base it purely off the NPC in game models or also official/unofficial artwork of them?
A lot of them are also lacking in developement.
Just seeing Foreshadow mentioned makes me think it's just in game model and personality is not an issue.
Inwhich case, yup...going to have to go with Maelstrom. He just has the look!
If we base it on personality though, I think I'd go with Synapse! He seems setup to have a Flash style personality (it's how I seem him anyways), with the rugged five oclock shadow going on to give him the appearance of having an edge to him.
He obviously needs a new outfit though. -
Quote:That feeling of haves vs have nots. That's what comes with not paying.Admittedly, I really haven't seen the game from a Premium POV
No one here has, it looks like. That's a problem in itself. There is no one with experience of the trip up without anything or very little. Hyperbole-It's much like 'rich vs poor' or 'haves vs have-nots'.
The takeaway shouldn't be "Premiums are second-class,"
That in itself would be a lie, because they certainly are. Actually, they're more like 3rd class or worse.
the game is miserable
You said it, not me, but...though the words are harsh, they are also true as I've seen it. The experience has been a poor one. I only paid to access she who was my first(Get your head out of the gutter), the one I spent the most time and work on. Buying more would be pointless, as there is nothing I truly desire in the entire list. Not even AE rewards.
The restrictions on premium do not lead me me to desire VIP. They lead to depresion and annoyance. Whilst this can be effective tactic for purchase, it's...the game should be saying '"You rock, but VIP can make you rock MORE!" Currently, it's "You want no not suck? Go VIP!" as it crushes you into the dirt. Can't explain it any other way, what with the deaths I've been taking on my weakers. You hit your buttons and still die against things your own level. Dunno why.
There was one nice thing I found: The Find Contact button. All right-level contacts, even unknown ones, show up in it, and you can warp to them if you haven't visted them already. That's a good feature.
Also, Defenders will generally have a harder time than Brutes when it comes to solo play.
Though playing at 0/0 solo, I don't know exactly why you're dying as I've run a bit higher difficulty with an unslotted Defender and survived (with Dark Miasma, Cold Domination, and Radiation Emission), could just be rusty or could be power picks.
As I've suggested to many a friends looking to check out CoH, when it comes to the F2P option, I encourage them to shell out enough to hit Tier 3 (I believe that's when you unlock global channel access)
No idea how far along the tiers you are, but if you want access to IOs can always buy the way up to their access (tier 7 I believe it is).
