  1. I play my Stalker like I played my Stalker back in i6 (EM/SR)..like a Scrapper with a better Stealth Pool!

Yup. I just run into melee and scrap it out!

i22 didn't change that. It made it better!

  3. Don't see why it would be a Mary Sue.

I'd go Electric Melee. Lightning Powers just seem all god like (Zues, Thor), and then pick a Secondary you enjoy.
  4. Really, the only way I could see that happening is if they made Dark Affinity a powerset option for Defenders/Corrs/MMs, but if they did that, then I'm sure there'd be Trollers who wanted Dark Miasma.

It'd be a hell storm for the devs and people complained.

Microcosm's point that 228 DPS isn't even that bad has been ignored even more totally than that. Some might say that those perpetuating this specious argument are simply ignorant but I suspect some of them know better and are fishing for mass anti-staff sentiment and ensuing buffs. What a pylon time does not answer at all is whether the set is good on the whole. Nevertheless, your pylon time is being used to argue precisely that.
Those who say 228 is bad I think are looking for every new set to move into the top 5 position.

I do! But just enough that when built for it, I can solo AVs! But then, I like how that makes the toon feel to be on par with solo title comic book heroes.
  7. It's not a top 5 ST DPS machine!

But it's not the bottom 5 either!

Where it lies in there, haven't seen any deffinant answers other than "It's not top 5 so it sucks" from people.
  8. I didn't feel squishie at all at lvl 50 with my IOed KM/WP Stalker.

What WP lacks in resists, it beats ELA in Hit Pounts. Not sure if it's equal really, but that's 1600 HP vs 2000 HP, something to consider.
  9. PvP is like Farming!

You need the right build. And for PvP this is worse, because people have sets they want to PvP with but they're just suckie to use in PvP.
  10. Well, first they changed everything! Drastically. And I it became meh with those change.

Then I got tired of a people whining in pvp zones about interrupted duels. You'd think they'd learn from their own non stop whining, that pvp zone means fair game and to take dueling to arenas.

But instead they continue to whine. And it leaves you going *sigh* because their whining turns into insults in broadcast.
  11. Bought it! \o/

Now just have to wait till work is over

Resistance Wardens would be akin to superheroes in Primal.

So, you're basically saying the same thing as GG but in reverse.

Loyalists were oppressing people to keep them safe. That doesn't make them heroes. It doesn't even make them right, except of course, in their own mind.

But then one could say that the wardens breaking the laws (though they didnt kill) trying to bring a government down.

Which reminds me of a quote that I'm sure Im butchering (and forgot who said it, so cant find it) "Try to change the government and win, you're heroes and patriots. Try to change the government and fail, you're criminals and terrorists."

Now I know I screwed it up, but it's close enough.

Only time will tell, and right now it looks like the Wardens are winning...people know they've been lied to and oppressed. They know their government is willing to kill them if they think it's for the good of the people. Loyalist to that type of government usually isn't seen as the heroes.

So, GG has a point. Don't like the methods of various Resistance? Makes sense. Some of the crusaders are in fact in it just for the violence (like some of the loyalists are in it for the power).

But they all find out Cole and his praetors are lying, power hungry, and oppressing the people. To stay with that gets one looked at as a villain.
  13. See that avatar?

    <---That one right over there!

Looks like we still lack the domino mask with glowing eyes in i23

That's the one problem with commissions, the artist never see's your character exactly how you do.

But I love Avionetca's style, so I let that slide

I use it as the 4th attack in my chain, along with Smite, Siphon Life and Midnight Grasp, and love it.
While it may be solid damage, Dark Blast added into the chain is still lower than Smite - Midnight Grasp - Smite - Siphon Life, correct?

Or is Dark Blast better than I've thought?

So the question is, how much more damage does the Scrapper SF user do compared to Brute SF user (if they do at all, but I'm inclined to think Scrappers will generally make out with higher DPS than Brutes when it comes to Staff).

Call it Mantle of Leadership like you said. The buff could be a combined Assault-Tactics that extended to the whole team/league and stacked as other Tankers are added.

Even better, what if the buff adjusted based on the team makeup like Kheldian's cosmic balance works? On a high DPS team Mantle of Leadership swaps to +Def/+Res & Tactics, on a low DPS team, Mantle of Leadership swaps to +Dam & Tactics. It could even extend a tiny bit of mez protection for the squishies.

I'm not sure if that's possible, but that would definitely make teams appreciate the Tank (and especially multiple tanks) more and when solo would give the Tank a bit more damage.
the problem with that, would be that JB is hitting the Tanker Damage Cap solo already. Giving additional +DMG solo wouldn't help him.

But doing that would have been stupid, like giving more survivability to Tankers. They're already the most survivable AT in the game and survivability is the last thing giving them problems. Their problem is being one trick ponies that sacrifice far too much for aggro control when we don't really need a supreme aggro control AT because we've got two other ATs, three if you count Masterminds, intended to share aggro and tanking duties. Pushing Tankers further into that niche wont help them.

    .
They increased the Stalker HP cap because there were sets with +HP bonuses that werent being used, due to hitting the HP cap with Accolades and Set Bonuses (or you could look at it as not using Set Bonuses).

It was basically the change that helped Regen, IA, and WP. The increased HP cap didn't really do much for the other Stalker secondaries. I believe my NIN Stalker got a whole additional 10 HP

And yes, there is the Cold Domination users who can increase everyone's HPs, but that's one class out of many support classes that can do that.

And I've agreed with some of the things you've said.

Increase that Damage Cap on Tankers. Lower the resists on Brutes.

The one change helps the outlier cases of reaching the damage cap on their own (being teamed with a KIN should not be a factor) without actually upping a Tankers damage (except now people can go "I'll build for +DMG") and it puts Tankers at the level of more survival (higher HP and higher Resist values).

The unfortunate reality of Street Justice and Titan Weapons being paid-for sets makes them significantly less likely to see nerfs, because neither development nor marketing is going to want to deal with people threatening to sue them or complain to the BBB or whatever over what they perceive (incorrectly) as a bait and switch.
I don't know. Im sure in the EULA it says they can do as such. Buuut, it was something I mentioned in beta for Freedom.

Have to get the paid for powersets right the first time. There are going to be people who buy the sets based on performance as the number one thing (look at the complaints about SF already, with people going "It's average in damage, so meh") and getting that performance taken down later will feel like they were had..."We'll give them something extremely powerful to make them want to buy it, then nerf it later so it doesn't get unbalanced"

Paid for sets need serious testing to make sure they're right in line were the devs want them, and best not to make them two weak either or people won't buy them.

I know you're just being snarky, but the issue is that the original Praetorian story arcs make a really big deal about avoiding the kind of murderous outcome that the so-called "heroic" iTrials later does everything to promote. While that's fine in itself, it just goes counter to the motivations that the Going Rogue content was trying to instil in your characters (unless, I guess, you're a Crusader in which case it fits right in).

My responsibility loyalist had to take down a close friend in order to prevent exactly what the TPN trial is trying to accomplish, and, with his dying breath, he made me promise that Mother would pay for her crimes against Praetoria. It was a powerful, emotional moment, that is being completely invalidated by later content.

If I wanted to stay true to what happened in Going Rogue, I couldn't take part of most of the iTrials. At least not on Primal Earth's side (although, as much as I dislike the trials, my loyalist totally have to be there for the MoM trial. Mother needs a boot to the brain).
Don't know if it's countered. Loyalists had one plan, that plan got ruined.

Your praetorian took down a close friend who tried to stop something like the TPN and then failed when something similar happened.

Though, yes, kinda suckie, we don't get to try to do differently.

    To Sam:

    1) It was explained in the UG trial which is before DA content. I'm no so sure Cole putting the Hamidon at a stalemate means Hamidone should of been the Wells Champion tho. Hamidon had to go to outside means to obtain that much power. That itself could put the Well against it.

    2) I wonder to why the body count is that high. Seems like a waste to kill off so many powerful NPCS that can be used again as returning villains/allies.

Then again, it's heroes and villains teaming up to take them down, and maybe the devs wanted to throw the villains (and heroes), who wouldnt just arrest them, a win of their own.

    3) I really love the alignment setup of Praetoria. Wish it could of been put in through all of CoH and kept all the way through Praetorian content.
