Robotech (american and japenese versions, including the side timelines, tho Southern Cross is boring), Gundam Wing (never could get into the other Gundam series), Transformers and Big-O, come to mind.

I'm sure I can live with the change.
But I can understand the complaints about the change after the money spent as well.
90% chance to me is still seen as "pretty much always" -

Quote:That last part would not go well for lots of RPers and non-RPers that are concept/story-driven players.reverse discrimination
I would love to see a GATTACA mutant group. They run a corporation, have their own zone. Avoid dealing with lesser humans, etc.
kidnapping and forced recruitment. A comet passes between the earth and the moon. All children in utero during that time become mutants. The group actively seeks out and recruits these mutants. They may believe they have an epic destiny.
"Wait, what? My character who is currently pregnant has to give birth to a mutant?!"
"Wait, what? My character from the future who was in utero during that time has to be a mutant?!" -
Finally came up with a concept I love for TW (a set I've wanted for quite a while...well to be honest I would of been happy with titan weapon skins for Katana and still wish for that option due to style of game play mechanics and animations for certain concepts).
It's great too because /INV is the only secondary I haven't gotten to 50 on a Scrapper (I /THINK/ I got EA to 50, id have to recheck, so I might be down /EA as well, I might not be).
So the input, is asking how others have done with this pairing? Manage to get END use undercontrol with accolades/IOs and not relying on Incarnate abilities (I have access to them of course, I just prefere to not rely on them)?
What power would be suggested to put the Scrapper ATO set into?
RA -> CB -> FT -> AoD if I remember correctly is the best for DPS with TW, right? -
Besides it's clickie mez protection power (which annoys me to no end...it didn't use to, but now it just does
) the only problem I've had with NIN is it's DDR feels as low as WP's.
NIN is to much of a defense set to have it feeling that low. I'm not expecting and don't think it should have SR levels of DDR. It has the added tools (which in my experience weren't always that helpful, but I admit it could just be my playstyle) and a self heal. I expect it to have a lower DDR than SR.
Of course if NIN got a toggle mez protection or a raise in DDR, one of those changes might make me relevel a NIN. -
Quote:While reaching the softcap might rely on Hide, I always see my characters costume as soon as I attack.Relies on hide to softcap (which I'm not sold on yet - I want to see my costume) and does not cap aoe, but still quite good. Thanks!
And if I'm just travelling zone to zone and want to see my characters costume, I can detoggle Hide.
But in a mission, I see it plenty since I'm not sitting in one place so hide can reestablish itself. -
My suggestion...go ELM.
Stalkers advantage over the other Melee AT is due to Assassin Strike. Even without the proc for added yumminess, the ST DPS is taken care of with that one power.
Skip Havok Punch. Take Charged Brawl.
Charged Brawl + Jacob's Ladder + Chain Induction + Assassin Strike
You can't really go wrong with it. Then you add in the benefits of Lightning Rod for AOE damage and it doesn't break hide.
In fact, I'd say pick up Spring Attack to go with it for a (admittedly) slightly weaker version of LR!
What I am curious about is if it's worth picking up Thunderstrike now? I'd say yes because it's more AOE, but I couldn't say for sure.
I don't know, while I love other sets for various reasons (animations being a big one) and yeah sets like StJ has decent enough AOE (for me anyways), but when wanting a good combination of both...ELM.
Something to think about. Most of the game is not about DPS. Even on Incarnate content. And yes, you want to have some good DPS for big fights, ELM has enough ST DPS to make that a non-issue.
So it's taking you 4-5 minutes to solo that AV/Pylon versis the 2-3 minutes. So what? You jiust mass killed everything on the rest of the map.

Quote:Like I said, I made the numbers up. They could totally go lower. I based the numbers strictly on taking Mace Shield's 12.75% and 15% to S/L/E (the shield also has Toxic Resist) and lowered the numbers. All Positions is still basically all, except it won't stack with Typed Defenses well (and with a few Psi outliers). It would stack with plenty of stuff though, like Force Fields and FFG.
See my edit for the figures, 12% across the board would be too much, if you're talking Positional you'd probably be something like 7-8% to All Positions?
8% or 9% for Defenders and 6.26% or 7.5% for Corruptors may be the better way to go with it. That's taking Manuevars base +DEF, doubling it, and adding 1-2% (since it's an epic shield) for the possible base defense for the shield.
Still like the idea of adding just Smashing Resist to it. -
Quote:I hate the term too.I can't help but wonder what the response would be if the roles were reversed and Manti was "fridged" (REALLY hate that term) for Psyche.
But since it was such a big deal to everyone. Even talk of "I stopped reading stories because of that" and seeing those people still around and quiet. It had me wondering why no one was mentioning it now when it happened to a main character, and not some one shot character no one really heard of. -
Quote:Hence why I said "something new"There's no APP armour toggle in the game which provides Defense to all. Lethal, Smashing and possibly one thematic resist is all you'd be getting (there is Mind Link for Domis but that's in addition to the toggle shield)
Also, note I didn't say "All" I said "All Positions" which means it wouldn't work grant S/L/ect defense. -
Quote:Mace and BA however can slot a Gladiator's -Resist ProcEh... It has one really, really awesome attack (Clobber) which is brought down by the awfulness of the rest of it's single-target powers, and one good AoE with two more average ones, and is all smashing damage.
Like I said, it's not a bad set, but it's certainly not one of the best, either.
Edit: One other thing, it and Battle Axe (Well, and Archery, if you count ranged sets) are also the only pure S/L sets that can't fit an Achilles proc anywhere, if I'm not mistaken. -
Quote:Especially since it doesn't offer -250% It offers -150% and you have to use TWO powers to obtain that amount. Not to mention if you miss with the first power of -100% you don't even get the -50% from the second power.Poison probably needs the most help of any set in the game. Honestly, it has horrid AoE mitigation, forces you to enter melee range to use its tier 8 and 9 powers while offering no personal buffs or heals, and is designed as a single target debuffing specialist with a whopping -50% regeneration. Oh yeah-- you are also forced to take the worst single target heal in the game at level one, making this the only skill set that is pigeonholed into a team-only power right out of the gate.
Someone above posted that Time Manipulatin needed a buff because it "only" offers -250% regeneration. I couldn't help but laugh about that in the context of the current state of Poison.
Oh, and the effects for those powers? A slow and and a hold that are highly resisted by the targets you'd want to use -Regen on. -
So Synapse, out of all those saying "Yes. I like your changes. Make the changes. Change what was bought because they were told WAI." how many of them actually bought the SBEs?
I'm curious to that one. -
Truthfully, I based the idea of Storm Kick on it being a nice martial arts style attack and pretty basic.
I don't see why it would critical at all, though maybe Scourge for Corrs. It doesn't crit for Tankers, and I really wasn't expecting the +Def that Tankers get with Storm Kick (only Tankers get +Defense from SK unless that changes somewhere down the line).
Power Mastery comes with Total Focus, so I didn't think Crushing Uppercut was to out of place. I did think of Knockout Blow, but I just prefere CU's animation over KB's so went with it, but KB instead is perfectly reasonable.
I wasn't expecting Scrapper levels of damage with the attacks. I just thought they went well with the idea of Body Mastery and could give a good hand to hand feel for Defs/Corrs.
Physical Perfection and Superior Conditioning I wanted more due to having an Epic choice that offered some passives instead of Conserve Power.
Truthfully for the Epic Shield I wouldn't mind seeing something new, like a 10% (Corr) and 12.75% (Def) Defense (all positions) with Smashing Resist toggle.
Dodging and being able to take blunt force attacks, while taking full damage from lethal attacks is pretty common ability in comicbook superheroes.
Note, I picked the numbers a bit randomly, so those can of course be adjusted to where they would need to be. -
My newest commission by Bokuman. Another Deviant Artist who's style I loved!
More well endowed and curvier than usual, but still so sexy none the less! But I admit to bias
And the plushie, that's a plushie of VividAnima's OC, Epode! He came out adorably cute!
Also had to have the pistol under the pillow! I have a lack of Dual Pistol version's of BrandX! And I swear, as soon as I can make a version of BrandX with Dual Pistol's that can do decent DPS, I am so going back to Dual Pistols <3 -
I like the admitting to the fridging of Sister Psyche for Manti, and now eagerly await people starting threads about it! *waits*

Quote:It was said by a dev in a forum post.Where are you getting this from? I recall an NPC's offhand reference to "one of the 50 000 heroes from Paragon City."
Though when did NPC speak ever equal how things are suppossed to be?
Oro is not the best kept secret. In fact, I believe the newspapers were talking about Oro on their arrival.
Also, the devs could of changed it, due to you know, players having so many alts.
"No. No. There has to be more than 5000 supers world wide because I have 50 alts, and so does this player and that player...ect...ect."
*shrug* I find the idea of 5000 supers in the world better fiction than 50,000 (unless we're counting longbow army as such) in Paragon.
Or really...why attack Paragon, smart money would be to attack cities without supers in them. -
Quote:It would of probably worked if they started it out that way, buuuut, players have sort of amassed to certain details, whether canon or not, on how things are.I get the feeling people just want an X-Men esque 'Hate the mutants! plot in-game, hence the using of any excuse.
For the record, I think such a plot would simply suck, due to the way the CoHverse is. Others would probably beg for it. Eh. C'est la vie.
Azuria is commonly believed to have a vault and that it got robbed daily for instance. Nevermind the vault was in Galaxy and it was like one mission.
Longbow attack civilians and known heroes, because you know, they're laying civilians and heroes on red side, nvm that the game says "oh hey you're a villain, just how it is"
Things like that. -
Quote:Well, it might be better to make all NEW SBE Procs work the way he wanted, but to change the ones they said were working as intended and shown in the thread they knew what they were doing and then to change them...terrible idea. There is a proposed change in the thread by Synapse later today that would make AS not really change much... still 88.5% (or similar) chance for it to proc in a 100% recharged AS.
Wait and see...It might not be that much of a nerf after all. I am sure that the constructive comments by people in the thread, however, contributed to Synapse re-considering things. -
Yeah. Not to sure about this. Overall I think it's good but at the same time, it was said, when asked, that the procs were working as intended, at least regarding the Stalker ATO.
I'll adjust as always, but when it was asked repeatedly in beta, and told many times WAI, and now to have that taken away...:/ -
I watched it and enjoyed it. As did my daughter.
I only had a couple of complaints and that was the few scenes I thought that had the Stooges come off more dumb than they should have.
I'm not saying they're suppossed to be geniuses mind you.
I thought they captured the Stooges quite well. -
As I go looking over which Epic Pool for my DP user, I can't help but think it would be nice if there was an Epic Pool that gave Physical Perfection and Superior Conditioning for her!
Physical Perfection
Superior Conditioning
Toggle Armor (Temp Invunerability maybe? Not sure if doublingup would be wanted. bit Dark Embrace was so there's precedence).
Melee Attack
Melee Attack
Two melee attacks of the MA, StJ and/or SS variety. Put them in some sort of order and good to go!
I was thinking Crushing Blow (with hold component) as the 5th, and maybe Storm Kick for the 1st melee attack.
Physical Perfection
Storm Kick
Superior Conditioning
Toggle Armor
Crushing Blow
Would work a lot for those natural concepts! -
Ranged: Dual Pistols
Swap Ammo isn't great utility in my experience. And it's ST damage is lacking. I'm not going to say it's AOE is the best, but for me anyways, it's fine.
Melee: Energy Melee
There's a reason we hardly see anyone with Energy Melee running around. I'll see the other melee types quite a bit (not as popular as Super Strength mind you) but not Energy Melee (or Ice Melee but I'll just pick one set).
Buff/Debuff: Hmmm...
I want to say Time Manipulation because I still think it needs it's -Regen bumped to a useful level.
Buuut...I'll go with Force Field. It needs something. I like my suggestion of making it a buff and damage set. In the thread I suggested that, I don't recall anyone saying it was a bad or good idea, but I like the idea of turning a few of it's powers into serious damage (in line with Blaster Damage) attacks.
Control: Ice Control
I love it, but I think it's gotten to the point where those who do play it, decided they wanted to use more than Ice Slick, so they cast Ice Slick then cast Frostbite which negates the KD.
Defense: Regen
Don't know what it needs exactly, but it's another set that seems to be last picked and it could use a little more toughening up, so people don't go "Yeah, if you go Regen, go with a weapon set with +Def" at which point people are "But make sure you're okay with redraw"
I think IH being turned back into a toggle would fix this, but really no idea on it.
