You should be doing that anyway. I stop to report every copyrighted character I run across, but only once have I seen a person I reported actually broadcast about being genericed. That rule's there for a reason, so reporting possible violators is not something I can wrap my head around seeing as a bad thing. That's what the GMs get paid to do.
Not to mention some of the things I'm pretty sure can't be trademarked. Like Thor. Of course, they'll generic the Thors, but not those other popular characters that belong to the public.

I've seen them generic regular names.
I've seen them generic people who's character looked nothing like an existing IPs, but had a similar name, and the power sets didn't even match up, and couldn't even if they wanted to (that type of comic character that just can't be easily recreated in CoH). -

That moment came up specifically in the discussion during the car ride home. She didn't like it much, she thought it too random and out of place in the moment of the film.
I liked it because it showed the Hulk keeping memory across appearances and doing something 'playful' if a bit violent to a cohort...
In short, an example, I think of the contrast between someone who grew up enjoying Marvel comics and someone who didn't sitting in the audience for the film. -
I can't understand why Superman wouldn't beable to lift Thor's hammer. :/
Also in non comic continuity, Hulk in Ultimate Avengers lifted it with pure rage! -
Oh btw, that's with IOs involved. Without IOs Elec Blast sits at the bottom.

Likely because it's #5 on the top DPS chart (unless Beam Rifle knocked it down) while lacking a decent secondary effect, or rather it's secondary effect is useless.
Still better than my favored Dual Pistols that sits 2nd to last though! So enjoy!

I thought in the 2008 Hulk, except for Blunsky who in the end survived the blast, and the hulk may have realized he was on something to survive it, no one was killed.
I'll rewatch it later and see, but I don't recall any deaths at all. Now they did say he was wanted for deaths, buuuut, they were the military, I figured those deaths were
1) from the accident that created the hulk himself
2) the military progpoganda machine going on (ie lying)
3) The one scene in Ang Lee's Hulk (that I hated due to the special effects used), where the guy shoots Hulk with a grenade launcher, it bounces off, then blows up. They guy who was kinda a *** the whole movie to banner and wanted to burrow Banner's head with a drill. -

Most recent one, TW/WP Scrapper, Draconic. Which inspired me to look up and get Drakaina and Draconem.
I was hoping friends would like to form a Magic Girl styled themed SG witht he other two names, but no go
So, I'll likely get the one to 50, then level up the next and just have the whole Dragon Armor Magical Girl SG be a pet project all of my own. -

If they put something like that in place, I might just get tempted to start reporting people on the smallest of slights, just to see if they enforce it.

After having been genericed for having a character with an original name but had similar colors (though not the same outfit) as Super Girl, I just think it's a bad idea to go perma banning anyone, because I think GMs have a tendency to go over board on some, while obvious other ones to some go unnoticed.
Wouldn't have been so bad, but the name was snatched up when they genericed me too, and they werent about to take the name away from the new person. -

Saw it again with my teenager daughter this weekend. Interesting contrast in perspective. She all grumpy because "Avengers" trumped out her "Hunger Games" so soon. She understood that it isn't a zero sum game, but she wanted to the rosy period of recognition for her favorite to last longer.
She also thought that once it got going there was too much boom and not enough dialogue. Her favorite scenes that she quickly rattled off when asked were when the characters were interacting and talking. I thought that was interesting. -

Also, look at the cast of NCIS. At least 3 of the actors in it are playing characters younger than they really are (Abby, Gibs, Ducky). -

Most of the existing content in that range *shipped with the game* and is an absolute embarrassment, even when compared to something like radio missions.
MMOs are bottomless pits that can soak up infinite amounts of content without filling up. Sure, we could use more high level content- but objectively the existing high level stuff is, for the most part, pretty good, while the majority of the low level stuff is absolute swill- just terrible, indigestible garbage.
If you're expecting your new 'free to play' initiative to attract new players, it behooves you to add some good low level stuff so the theoretical hoards checking out your game don't say "OMG GET ME OUT OF HERE" after their first street hunt followed by a fedex to a security chief halfway across the city. -

I want to see some enemy groups exactly like we see in the comics. And saying "well there's a superhero mmo out there with that" is not a valid arguement when CoH was the first one to be it.

I work with someone who's in her mid 50's with a toddler. It's not like this doesn't happen. -
I thought that was Thor's way of saying "Well, he's not a true asgardian" backstep type of deal, when he they said his brother killed 80 people.
I don't think he ever considered Loki less of a brother, even at the end of it all.
The adopted joke was funny, and those who boycott anything due to a joke will end up boycotting anything.
