  1. Any chance of a cornrow hairstyle for females (hell give it to the males/huge too, I don't care) that's long hair straight down and not in a ponytail?
  2. Sadly, Martial Combat will still be better paired with blast sets that aren't Dual Pistols or Archery (or AR or BR), due to redraw

I'd guess Joker in Bane's place with a shadow backer...Natalia.
  4. They need to get the most out of their paying for copyrights to the movie.

I can see it taking three movies, if they go into the books even more. Details that likely would of been skipped in 1 movie.
  5. Impale > Ripper > Throw Spines > Repeat with Quills running is already really good ST DPS.

So the question is, will these changes to Lunge and Barb Swipe mean even better ST DPS or not. Also, will it beable to be achieved as easily as the previously mentioned chain is.

    Small padded gloves.

The top would likely be something in the tops with skin section.
  7. Another suggestion that would work great with this set, but not sure if it's possible...

    Take away one pant leg!

Unless you can run a search and find even so much as one character other than Captain America that has ever used a thrown shield as a weapon. I searched at least 25 pages deep in Google and found none.

Since Cap is the only character out there who does that, it's a safe bet that Marvel has it trademarked and would throw a fit if we had added a power like that. A shield charge or shield bash is one thing, those are common maneuvers with a shield, throwing a shield is a gimmick of one specific character and would probably be off limits.
Marvel's competition has a Shield Throw power.

Edit: Also, it wouldn't make sense to have the defense buffs when you have no shield in hand to deflect things.

    This is very true.

I know I want to see a CoH2, because I like the story, but see that it could use some tweaking and fixing.

And the graphics, while I like still considered CoH's artwork some of the better MMO artwork and better than either of the other superhero MMOs (the others come off more cartoony) I continue to hope for even more visually stunning artwork.

Also, I think the ranged classes could use some better animations with their blast sets as they are feel the same to me for the most part. And sadly, they're just boring. :/

He can be all powerful, that's ok too. Just make it well.

BUT! Give him an actual threat that doesn't involve some scrawny billionaire with the deus ex machina of kryptonite. Make him get into a good fight with a superpowered enemy that will actually challenge him (they don't have to win). It really doesn't have to involve an invasion of (easily CGI'd) alien hoards like almost every action movie uses now days. One really powerful baddie will do. You can make a good superhero movie, that is compelling and smart that doesn't involve overanalyzing the hero's state of mental health and does involve good action as well.

The reason we haven't seen a good Superman movie, is because nobody has made one. (Nostagia of the Reeve's first two aside of course. I say they are dated, but I do realize some people still love them so I'll give you that)
    This.

I think generally the scenes involving Superman doing heroic acts in Superman Returns were visually stunning. But people still want the action. They want to see the superheroes fighting it out.

Sadly, not only didn't they give the audience action, they hammed up the villain, because that's how he was played up in the Reeves movies. Nevermind he's been portrayed as much less hammie in everything sense.

Whether or not Superman would win is irrelevant. Everyone goes into these movies with the belief that the hero will win anyways. It's the story and the action that really matter. And you can have a good story even if you know the protaganist is going to win.

As for Batman's lecture to police officers using guns, that remians one thing, BAD WRITING!

Yes. But they still had other things going on. One would think something would pan out. I'm sure they took a hit, but Wayne Industries is suppossed to be a really big global company who doesn't have their hand in one basket.

    Still enjoyed the movie

Money issues... Really? He took 8 years off to do absolutely nothing? Couldn't even keep up on company issues? How pathetic is this guy? And he's supposedly super paranoid and ready for any situation but he doesn't set up a trust fund for the orphange, just cuts a check every month? He doesn't have a hundred different hidden bank accounts?? And he goes so broke so fast the turn his ights off immediately? As any poor person in this country... Don't happen. Same with the impounding of vehicles. I mean seriously.

Bruce Wayne gives up? First to go into seclusion. Then after returning to go into hiding?? And I do not buy he set up someone else to take up his mantle. Yeah, this Robin gets directions to the bat cave but so what? He has no resources to pay it's electric bill. He also doesn't have the training to do what Batman did. All in all, he's setting that guy up to be killed.

Alfred quits? Huzzuh?? No. Almost as ludicrous as Wayne quitting.

Oh... And Robin knew he was Batman because of a look in his eye? And that's all it took? Sorry, silly. Stupid and silly. Mainly stupid.

But the movie didn't suck. And Hathaway as Catwoman, imo, was awesome. I thought she was amazing. I would go see a Hathaway Catwoman movie in a heartbeat.
Actually, if one just looks at Batman Beyond, you see a Bruce Wayne that has hidden away and had pretty much given up on his company. And people considered that a perfect Batman.

Nolan's Batman did the same thing, only at a much earlier age.

And I think the movie makes clear he didn't take off all those 8 years. But yeah, he'd basically become a shut in for awhile.

If one was to make a complaint about all that, I would think the complaint would be on Fox. Why wasn't he doing more as head of the company?
  15. EM: Return Energy Transfere to it's original animation! That's all the set needs to be fun again imo! A ST powerhouse! I never cared that my EM Tanker wasnt an AOE machine.

Regen: I'll go a different route with my suggestion, sense IH I think has less of a chance of returning to a toggle state than ET does of returning to it's original animation. Resilence...10% Def All.
  16. See Zwill's little breakdown of this thread in another thread. I'll jus reiterate. clean pieces please! For the pants at any rate.

If there are clean versions of those pants, the set will be a must buy for me!

If not, maaaybe the Titan Weapon Skin depending on how it looks.

That's one of the reasons I switched from it from Shiney Tights.

Edit: And mind you, I'm still in favor of body hugging costume pieces. Just that I think a little detail can go a long way.

Also, I think just altering current pieces could go a long way, and I think (admittedly not sure) would be easy to put in. Like...

Disco Costume Piece with Skin, but with bikini bottoms instead of the hot shorts, so the bottom can connect to the top tights.

Baggy Sock sandals, but without the baggy socks (love those shoes! Which I didnt always have to have the socks with them).

Bikini bottoms that are Shiney, so they can match the Shiney Tights (Top) Option. Which is another reason I switched from Shiney Tights to WitchTop. I just thought the non shiney bikini bottoms matched up better with the WitchTop better.

Some people insist the game is too easy and we want more challenge, so that's a bad part. I like the game BECAUSE it's easy and lets me solo with a relatively slapdash build, so to me that's a good part. I consider an intricate and involved story to be one of the best parts about this game, yet others (chiefly Venture) talk as though nothing in the game's story is worth a crap so that sounds like a bad part.

In general, I agree with you that when you get "this game with all the good stuff kept and all the bad stuff removed" may well turn out something completely different from what people imagine it as. And I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of the stuff we really like is at the same time really damaging to the game and the development team's ability to expand it.

And here are a few good examples:

It also showed me that "better" graphics don't necessarily make the game look better. The prevalence of reflective costume pieces that don't take colour well, the design theme shift towards more over-detailed "realistic" costume pieces and the HIDEOUS strain on my system are all factors that some days make me wish we hadn't made the game "prettier."

This is an idea I will always oppose under all circumstances, just because I've seen what it entails. I HATE it when animations are split between the lower and upper halves of a model because it makes them lose all feeling of weight behind them. It makes melee combat especially look like people fighting hand-to-hand while sitting down on wheeled swivel chairs that they roll around the battlefield. Human (and humanoid) posture while standing up involves the entire body. Kinetic firearms "kick," so a shooter must brace to combat recoil. That sort of thing. I've seen games that do combat on the move, and unless it's a FPS game where you can't see your feet, it has always looked horrible.

This is another thing that scares me. If by "the genre" you mean comic books, then I feel this is the worst thing that could happen to City of Heroes from a storytelling or aesthetic standpoint. Right now, the game has a very "anything goes" type of environment that's accommodating to comic book enthusiasts, but isn't alienating to people like me who don't really care much for comic books. In fact, back in 2004 when I was considering buying the game, one of my primary concerns was how true this game would be to comic books, because all I wanted was an RPG in a contemporary setting as opposed to a fantasy one. I didn't want a comic book. I've seen other games try to pull off being a "comic book game" and the results have been gravely disappointing.

If by "the genre" you mean MMOs, then that's even worse. I can deal with a game with a bad setting, but a game with annoying insufferable gameplay is much less likely to keep me around. I've often said I'm still with City of Heroes mostly because this is the MMO which has the least amount of annoying irritating **** that I have to deal with (less so with Incarnates forcing me mess with Inventions, but I guess it was too good to last before). Pretty much the last thing I want to see happen to City of Heroes is for it to become more like other MMOs, by which I mean more like WoW. In a day and age where MMOs are sold based on "has PvP, has crafting, has auction house, has loot, has raids, has guilds" rather than any part of its artistic vision, anything that's NOT like WoW or Lineage II (the two major frameworks these days), the more I'm likely to enjoy it. Too bad that aside from City of Heroes, I really haven't seen one like that.

    ---

All of this is not to pick an argument, Rian, so much as to point out that we, as a community, will never be able to agree on what makes the game good and what makes it bad.

Now see. I picked up CoH because I wanted the whole comic book superhero MMO that CoH advertised itself as and slowly moved away to being...city of superpowered whatever we can think up and mix together for a very non superhero setting MMO!

When I bought CoH that's what it was advertised as. No matter how much people say it isn't, CoH was advertised as a MMO to make Superheroes like the comic books.

Now it moved itself to Heroes of any kind! Because, well the players were doing that sense the beginning anyways. "Oh I need my realistic merc! Not a merc that's doing this and this because it just doesnt make sense in the real world"

Oh hey, I brought my D&D character into this modern setting! o.O Because elves and gnomes and dragons and what have you totally exist in the CoH World? O.O

Now see. If they made CoH2 and had updated graphics (without going cartoony like the other two superhero MMOs...like I said go with those Koren Style MMOs graphics...okay imo anyways)...added in things people have wanted. I'd have no problem rerolling my main into a new game.

It is! It sadly would not be popular and some of them would likely bring complaints from the community as other members would likely feel insulted in how the players portray that type of character.
  22. What people want is still the classic tights but with a less painted on look.

You can make tights but still give them some details to look like they're wearing something. Body hugging spandex but you see the difference between the neck and head. The sleeves and the hands.

Also face masks would be nice that werent painted on.

Me: So he has this ring that gives him a godmode right?

Me: So why doesn't he just win?
    Friend: Win?
Me: Right, win. He can create ANYTHING. Why doesn't he just magic up 15 Playboy bunnies, his favourite pizza, the best car in the world and then go to Zurich and force the Gnomes to give him all the money?

Who is going to stop him outside of the Green Lantern Corps, who view him as a deity, or that Yellow Fear Guy who is countered by just having a plane throw green-tinted water all over the place?
Friend: You've played too many RPGs for your own good.
Because if he was the type to do that, the ring wouldn't have choosen him.
  25. Seeing those pics I have to ask and I know this is a Post Apocalyptic Setting Costume Set, but can we PLEASE get cleaned up versions of the pants?

I could use those style of pants for other concepts, but would rather they not look dirty, like the screenies seem to make them look.
