Quote:Sliding the chest slider to the right more will help you out as well.In that case, can we improve the look of our chests when wearing spandex by getting something like the witch top or Mother Mayhem's top that gives the impression of having more normal looking curves?
The current bodysuit set on beta doesn't have the right stretchiness, or any neckline options. -
Quote:With all the "Nuuuu...not another remake" I just find it funny people are okay with this being remade.Eh. I wouldn't call the original daredevil movie anything sacred. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great either. I enjoyed it but it's not going to break my heart if they do another one to make it canon for the Marvel Movieverse.
Another origin movie! When the last one was an origin movie. -
Quote:I believe MisterD said it best.Seems like you may be unfamiliar with how Epics work for Scrappers, Stalkers, Brutes and Tanks.
- They don't get ally buffs
- They don't get more powers that add to their armor set
- They do get ranged attacks.
- They do get stuff they don't have, like the hold you mentioned.
I'm perfectly familar with how most are setup. I know how before Scrappers didn't have Snipes and now they do with the Patron Pools. Or how they went from not having pets in their epics to having pets in their epics.
Things can change.
To Vanden: You may not, but the melee's with this would!
I figure TK Flight can be easily obtainable via Flight Pool and if wanted for more concepty goodness Group Fly.
To MisterD, yeah, I was trying to keep the bonuses low. I really didn't want the Def/Res Bonuses to be "OMG TAKE THIS POOL" level.
So I was thinking 3% Defense was equal to +Def IOs in a toggle wouldn't be outreagous. -
So it's another reboot anyways!

Hmmm...to answer the OP...
Worthy? Worthy as in? Could they fill you're spot with someone better? Well. Yeah. No matter how much you build the character, anyone else equally built will be a better choice over you.
Now, I don't think this means you're going to be carried by your team.
You still have the buffs/debuffs. And I don't recall MM numbers being all that different from Corrs, so you'll be helping out in that department easily enough.
I don't know if I count "soloing EBs" as that great of an achievement, especially with expensive builds.
But, if you find it fun, go for it.
If you get denied a team or kicked or tells saying whatever, there's always a different team or /gignore.
And your IOed out Petless MM is likely equal to at least a SO'ed out character, so you have that going for you! Could even be the counter arguement to anyone who says they're carring you!
"I'm better than a SO'ed So and So AT/Powerset, do you consider yourself carring them when they join the team?"
See! -
Quote:To be fair, with the new mods, using the search function would have the thread locked. So they'd have to make the suggestion again. Before everyone trounces you for this idea, which continues to be brought up time and time again, I suggest you use the search function to find all the previously written answers to your question. With as often as it's brought up, there's a lot of replies.
In general: The Devs have said no, as it goes against their concept of making the game "Alt friendly". They've also looked at the code to even see if it's "feasible", and have stated as recently as April that they couldn't do it, even if they wanted to without breaking things horribly.
As to the OP, I'm still all for it if it puts the character back to level 1 and all they get are the badges. -
What I'd love to see is Melee's beable to look like they have a bit of TK goodness!
So, what I'm proposing...
1) Levitate (Just like the KU attack of the same name)
2) Telekinetic Blast (It doesnt have to be equal to the tier 3 blast, but it's TK Mastery, not Psychic Mastery)
3) Telekinetic Bondage (A single target hold...couldn't think of a better name...something akin to Gravity Distortion)
4) TK Shield (Ally Buff 4% Defense/6% Resist...looks like the Force Field Bubbles)
5) TK Armor (Toggle: 3% Defense/5% Resist...looks like Personal Force Field, only you can attack with it. I know, some are thinking "Give Melee More survival?!" Well then lower the numbers if those are to high! 2.25% Defense/4.24% Resist works!)
The idea isn't for something OMG powerful. The idea is to have a set that feels like the comic book TK users!
They shield themselves (one could argue the defense set could cover that...so replace it with Personal Force Field, not much different than Hibernate), they shield allies. They try to lock down enemies and they send blasts of TK energy!
So all these powers could be kept in line with the other ST blasts/holds with little worry.
It's just be nice to have this option I think -
Quote:Sure you can!I'd like to add that we're missing Ranged/Armor as well. Difficult to make a true Powered Armor character since you can't have an "armor".
You make the costume and your armor is created!
Also, Ranged Blast of Choice/Time Manipulation is quite survivable. -
So when we see Maruader blue side, do we get to attack him daily and beat him to a pulp for all the things he did?
Like you know, my praetorian who knows just how bad he was.
Or my hero who watched him kill that fellow hero?
Do we get to do these things?! -
Quote:If it helps Sam, I've always used it as a means to show my characters are even better fighters.Normally, my "baggage" with other people wouldn't matter. In the seven years before it went Inheremt, I took Stamina all of once and never let people's criticisms get to me. It made asking for advise functionally impossible, but that's still not a problem. The problem THIS time is that the people who are implicitly telling me this are the developers themselves, and how they're telling me this is via Incarnate to-hit percentages. Let me explain:
A SR Scrapper just through his own powers can achieve right around 30% defence from everything positional. That's by far not bad, but it's also by far not amazing. Under normal circumstances, it's playable to a very comfortable degree. However, Incarnate critters have a base to-hit value of 14% higher, which effectively reduces my defence down to 16^, and that IS bad. And the thing is... There is no solution to this that SR can offer. There is, however, the solution of taking Weave that just about everyone I've spoken to has given me, and this seems to be literally the only way to salvage SR outside of strong Inventions builds, which even to this day are too expensive for me. I have built a few, but mostly through donated parts.
My problem isn't with what people say. "I'm rubber you're glue" or "sticks and stones." Take a pick. It's what the people in charge do that starts to concern me, and that's not as easily brushed off unless I simply admit that I won't be making my SR characters into Incarnates. My problem is that the old game was much, much easier, meaning that I could mostly succeed on mediocre builds that don't bank on pool powers too much, but with every addition to it, this gets less and less true. "Hard" spawns peppered throughout content are becoming increasingly common, such as in Night Ward and the Incarnate game is harder than that still. As the pressure on my build increases, those "no-brainer" power picks start becoming a problem since they start becoming less of a choice.
I have a problem with Fighting because it's rarely taken with the means of implying fighting and much more commonly taken as a meta-game extra defence and resistance buff. That's not what Pools should represent, at least not in my opinion. And honestly, the concept of "a good fighter" is more something to go into an Epic for ATs that don't have entire powersets devoted to this. That's where "stuff your AT doesn't have" is best suited for. As for pools, I've always seen those as the place to get esoteric powers. It is for this reason I'm getting less and less critical of "sorcery" as a power pool despite it implying an origin to a set of powers. It really is something that has no other place to go, it isn't AT-breaking yet it applies to concept before it applies to AT, so that's the perfect fit for a Pool. Fighting... Not so much.
Basically, Fighting has become Fitness, is the thing.
But then *shrug* what does it really matter? In RP or no RP, most people would ignore that idea. -
The problem with CoH raids is many of them don't feel like they should require a raid.
Malestrom...really? When did he become such a powerful foe?
At least Maurder had some gimmicky cola.
Getting killed by civvies throwing rocks? Not really epic.
A league taking on a powerful invading alien force? That's Epic!
Solo wise...for me...taking on AVs!
Duoing LGTF and Soloing ITF without the Incarnate abilities...those times felt EPIC! -
Quote:Leadership should of always given the same numbers to all the ATs. Whether that means some get buffed up numbers or not, that's how it should be.The other issue with the conceptual view of power pools is that in many ways they end up helping characters who already have lots.
Fighting gives more res/def to melee characters than it does ranged characters (except for Defenders) while Support ATs and VEATs get the best Leadership numbers.
Fighting Pool Defense powers should have given better numbers to the squishies and weaker numbers to melee ATs. -
I don't know. I can kinda see the redemption angle in Star Wars.
Sure it all seems bad, untill you see it as two sides of a war, which is all it really is.
Empire vs Republic.
You're at war. You kill the enemy. Who says there's rules to it like "Don't kill civilians?"
Anakin was on one side, he switched, then he switched back.
Of course, when you work for the other side of the war, people hate you.
A bit different than "Hey lets hook our own people on drugs" -

We're missing AGILE but regen at a decent pace while being able to take a punch but not a knife blade and still have a will of iron!

Quote:They still give other upgrades one doesn't have to pay for.Oh, but they already charge for the expansions!
WoW has a wonderful spot, where they charge to play, and they charge for the new expansions... and they have a bajillion players. Sure, their playerbase will slowly erode with time, but Blizzard continues to make a huge return on their investment.
I doubt the subscription-based MMOs will ever completely die out. They might fade a bit into the background, but they'll stick around. Soon enough the whole F2P market will become saturated (if it's not already), which'll leave a much smaller playing field for sub-based games.
Now would be a very bad time to be trying to push an MMO out on the market. In a few years, when the churn has died down some and expectations have dropped, the marketplace will probably be quite a bit more welcoming. Till then? Ouch.
But if they went F2P, they'd just have lots of people move into the game and start complaining even more
People complain about cash shops on a f2p MMO. "What? I have to pay to get this? It should just be part of playing the game!" -
Quote:Agreed! Rambo felt more like a sequal to First Blood than Rambo 1 & 2.He put care into them I think because he realized those were his best projects and what he is and will br remembered most for. Thankfully Rocky was all his from start to finish, and Rambo was just..well it was pretty great seeing Rambo as more dark, gritty, and without the cheese. The last Rambo film is what we should have gotten after First Blood.
-
Quote:Why should they contemplate a F2P model?Like anything else in the world that involves business, the game (So to speak) is changing. The old model of Pay-To-Play will slowly die out, then Free-to-Play will take it's place.
Will a MMO ever has as much popularity or success as WoW? Probably not, but in this economic climate anything over 100k is good. If Blizzard were smart (And I have no doubt that they are), they should seriously contemplate a F2P model.
Now, if WAR ever becomes F2P, or just popular again, i'll be leaving very swiftly
They're still in the millions of subcribers category, and like was said int he article, they're always losing people, who then come back at the start of a new expansion.
Staying P2P is still a smart move for them.
Going f2p would likely have people going "What? I have to pay for this new expansion content?" -
Quote:When teaming was required for something it spawned a MMO madness!I disagree. I think teaming should be encouraged and rewarded, but not required. We all know what happens when teaming becomes required for something.
What? You think MMOs started off solo friendly? No. They were team things and people came to them. -
Quote:Kinda what I meant with that.Required teaming has actually been the downfall of a few MMOs. Teaming should be user friendly and offer increased rewards, but it should never be a requirement. (I don't mean EVERYTHING should be available solo, just that you shouldn't hit a brick wall with your character's progress if you don't want to team.)
I think some rewards are perfectly acceptable to be locked behind group content.
