    Goodbye for now

Know how that goes! Good luck Ryu!
  2. Well, I've been RPing instead of any actual missioning outside of the SSA. Does that count?

I just don't think a comic book to film or vice versa work.
Now I believe comic books put into a 45min episode season long TV show's do work as people can over time relate to the heroes and villians. Smallville was a good start, but ultimately failed at the death as it really never progressed past CK's origin. If it would been allowed to progress and continue with him as Superman and continue along the lines of going up against proper villians, having cameos of top superheroes, put at later time past the watershed to spice things up a bit, it would have been a good watch.

Batman TV show worked because most of the time the social aspect of Bruce Wayne was kept to a minimal and identity kept secret, top villians often featured none of whom were ever killed off at the end of each episode, and all of that was done without high end CGI and overpaid actors.

I would rather they brought out more superhero TV shows like Batman of the past rather than feature films that can't portray comic books the right way due to budget, time frame or age ratings.
Nuuuuu! I liked the 60's Batman, but I don't want to see the return to that. It'd just return comics to that.
  7. An actual Telepathy and Telekinesis powerset, and not "covers it all psionic" powerset.
  8. I have used a few of the Celestial Pieces and made their chrome look work with the costume. With this change I can still make it work and make it work with more concepts.

    I'm for this!

    Thanks for the fix/change!
  9. Don't underestimate SR! Especially on Stalkers.

Ninjitsu isn't better than SR. You face enemies who deal -Defense and you'll feel the difference between a NIN and a SR.

Personally I think NIN could use a raise in DDR, but then I think SR could use a raise in ability as well.

But there are reasons to pick SR as many have stated.

Not to mention, in i24 SR users can take Aid Self and lose the interrupt if they choose.

    DFB reward idea

Sounds like an incentive to stay premium or buy the way up the tiers to me.

Though really, I never saw KB as a problem, only chain knocked down, which I thought they were looking into so one couldnt be ping ponged everywhere.

It would be nice to matter again.
While I think sets like Sonic and FF need tweaking, as someone who's leveled both Ninjitsu and SR up to 50 and IOed them out, I really can't say I found Ninjitsu to be better than SR.

  13. --RESTRAINT. We definitely wanted Penelope to look sleek, womanly, and attractive but in an age-appropriate way. Hence the almost complete coverage of her bodysuit. Plenty of curves, but she definitely looks well equipped and ready for combat.

    ...

That part confuses me. What does he even mean by age appropriate?

Can't show more skin because she's...in her twenties?

There's great costumes that cover up all of many superheroes. Rogue's is simple and does just that. I usually think she has one of the best costumes around (usually is key here).

But 1) I've seen teens wear less 2) The idea that she's in her 20's means she can't show more skin if she wants because...it's not age appropriate?

That line of thinking sounds more like "We think some people are so pancaking easily offended by some costumes we didn't want to have her show much if any skin."

Again, no complaints about costume that cover up every bit of skin. I just hate that, that comment made it sound like that was the reasoning.

I thought the same thing. We'd be missing Rufus.

Doesn't mean it would be a bad movie. But, we would be missing him And since it's not a reboot, I don't think they should replace him either.

Hmmm...seeing as how all my concepts are based around crime fighters who thusly train to be better fighters and have some sort of Hand to Hand experience...I'd say Fighting Pool is one of the EASIEST pools to fit into a concept.

The problem with the Fighting Pool is that the Tough/Weave percentages should of always been higher for the squishies and less for the melees.

Instead of going "Oh, this AT should have high modifiers in this area" the pool powers should go the better route of...

Fighting Pool "More benefit for the squishies as the melees are already tougher...so while they're peaking out, the squishies are building up from nothing so getting more out of it"

Leadership Pool should of always had the same stats across the board. Whether that means upping everyone to the best Leadership numbers, lowering them to the weakest Leadership numbers, or meeting somewhere in the middle.

No reason one AT should be a better "Leader" than another.

Because Boxing and Kick would still be skipped?

I think I've heard more say they would want this change, and less that "made it work" for them.

That being said, sequels can be done well, it just seems that they frequently, well, aren't. It surprises me that actors want to do sequels. I guess it's better to want to do one than to be contractually obligated, but not want to do one.

Because remakes and sequals are more about brand recognition and continuing to make a profit on properties they own rights to.

I'd say a lot of sequals aren't done as well because they're usually made to bank of the first movies success, rather than be good. Though I think many are learning they can't get away with that easily.

Bourne series for instance, I'd say is about equal quality amongst all it's sequals. Mission Impossible (imo of course) has only gotten better with every sequal.

But then you get those sequals that arent being put out because of a great story, but because they think they can get some money out of it.

But I also wouldn't put all the blame on hollywood for it. Sometimes it is the directors/actors fault. The greatest script int he world can't be saved by directors who can't direct and actors who just aren't that good or just phone it in.
  22. Hmmm...a way to help Super Reflexes...

Step 1) Get rid of scaling resists

Step 2) Turn Practiced Brawler into a toggle and give it one unique resistance (placate, confuse, fear, -tohit resistance)

Step 3) Give Agile, Dodge and Lucky a 50% Regen component (enhanceable)

Step 4) Give Focused Fighting, Focused Senses and Evasion a 150% Regen component (enhanceable)

Step 5) Turn the God Mode, Elude, ability into Adrenaline Rush, a 120second Recharge, 25% Self Heal, 100% Regen for 60seconds, 20% EndRec for 30seconds, with a 15 Point End Crash after 60seconds ability!

    Step 6) Increase Quickness to 25% +Recharge/Speed

^_^ The set would be love!
  23. The problem with Psionic Mastery instead of Telekinetic is it basically does what Mind Control does...

To be effective you're basically TKer and Telepathy.

Not all psi's are telepaths, not all psi's are TKers, and I thought it'd be nice to have a epic that slanted towards one side.

Telepathy Epic Pool wouldn't be bad and it would give a different feel to the character and likely different choices.

    Dominate
    Subdue
    World of Confusion
    Link Minds
    Psychic Scream

    Much more Telepathic in theme.

Greatest American Hero was camp while The Incredible Hulk wasn't. GAH took the superhero TV genre and played it for laughs.

Nolan's Batman is definitely not played for laughs.
It's the acting styles. They've changed a lot sense then.
