  1. I merged my Thugs/Pain into my Demons/Storm and exported the Mids. This is what I would run if I had a Demons/Pain

    Brilliant Leadership: Acc/Dmg
    Brilliant Leadership: Acc/Dmg/End
    Blood Mandate: Acc/Dmg/End
    Blood Mandate: Acc
    Blood Mandate: Dmg

And then with Demons I slotted Souldbound proc in Demonlings and the globals in the other 2. I'm not for slotting Prince with hold duration as the hold already lasts a long time and with char your should be good with stacking.
Mine works just fine with 4 x Blood Mandates and 2 x Golgi Exposures. I don't know about your Ember Demon but mine does his AOE heal when its up and not when I am injured.

    47% ACC
    97% Dam
97% End Red( 66% end red on the heals )
    66% Heal

in fact I have never seen either Demon with less than 75% End and he fires off the heal all the time.

My Prince has 3 x Nucleolus Exposure, 2 x generic End Red IO, Impeded Swiftness:Chance for Smashing

    95% ACC
    95% Dam
    83% End Red
20% chance for 70 damage with all slow powers

Demonlings have 4 x Blood Mandates, Sov 10% resist , Edict 5% Defense

    47% ACC

  4. It isn't fancy and the 12" screen makes it hard to see all the action, but the 486 DX66 upgraded CPU means I can group now!

My advice: don't solo after 40 and hope you don't regularly run into teams that whine about Slug, Buckshot, and M30 Grenade.

Huh? My Trap/AR DEF has zero issues with Bosses and he does less damage than a blaster. I just ctrl-click for auto Web Grenade and stack Ignites, Bosses and EB's melt, I dont see any issues. I soloed all of Maria Jenkins arc with him just fine.
  9. I know you said you don’t want Dark/Dark but there is a reason to go Dark secondary. When leveling you won’t have fluffy till much later and you don't always want to plop Darkest Night on every fight with early end issues and the fast speed of fights. With Dark secondary it gives you just enough -tohit in things like Tentacles and Night Fall to make leveling a breeze ( no down time ) .

5 slot NF and 6 Slot TT ( add 2 Range ) and they both have 60 range with a 5 second recharge. Tar patch >TT>NF>TT>NF so on and groups of 3 to 10 melt in seconds especially if you have solo Vigilance, Assault and Tar Patch. They won’t barely touch you with the -20 tohit debuff stacked from both cones.

There is a reason why Tri-Darks are so nasty at 50, throw in Darkest Knight, Fluffy, IO's, Shadowfall and Maneuver and forget about ever getting a "damage taken" badge

    Empathy Opinions

Absorb Pain is good for alpha strikes in some high end SF/TF like LRSF and STF. I use it paired with Heal Other ( one right after the other ) when the tank/brute either jumps into the middle of all the heroes (lrsf) or tanking LR (stf). It is especially useful in that situation if you are doing either of those without a stone or are light on the team buffs.

AOE heals on auto are good for things like AV and GM fights where the squishies are all bunched around you for things like RA’s. As you said , its one less thing to worry about when you are focusing on the tank/brute with heals, forts, CM stacking and AB’s.

So far, I've not had any trouble releasing my pets and then recasting them. *crosses fingers*

Just curious, have you tried to move away from where your pets get stuck before you logout? This should respawn them right where you are and not where they got stuck at. Just a thought.
Ok what does everyone mean by release? I had this same issue last night in Boomtown trying to do Zombie's and nothing worked. I tried /releaepet /release_pet /release_all pet /petcom_all release, All of them gave a "uknown command" error

I have both , I prefer Invuln. Its easier and cheaper to soft cap all Def, plus the 90% resist is nice. I also really like the -debuff resist it has to most things especially -defense.

    Invincinbilty mag 4 - 16.8 second duration

Still HP capped (when you accolade the tank)
Pretty darn close to softcap to all:
    S/L: 44.6%
    F/C: 44.3%
    Nrg/Neg: 45.5%
    Psi:29.1%

I'm not sure if you are really set on salt crystals, if not I changed you to body mastery to pick up a little more regen and recovery (plus CP). I threw in the pan proc for random minor heals, its a fun little thing, I have it on my sr scrapper and it helps a bit.
Isn't the Enzyme Exposure you have in your toggles Defense Debuff not Buff? I think its bugged in Mids and showing as Defense in the totals.
  15. A Knockback question If I decide not to go the acrobatics route.

Right now I go with a Steadfast, Karma and Zephyr for -12 KB protecton, is this to much do you think? I would really like to free up a slot for something else, problem is I have always run -12 so I am not sure if its to much or just enough. If I take one out will get knocked down a lot?

The only thing that has ever knocked me down with -12 was the Freedom Phalanx in a LRSF( think it was BaBs and States ) and I think Reichman in the Khan TF did too ( cant remember ). What is the average knockback strength of AV's / mobs in most TF's other than those?

P.S oh ya, Mary in a Katie does too.
  16. I personally like the new one better. I use to hate the scatter thar burn would cause, the new version does less damage but it sticks for the total duration wihout the need for an AoE Immob. In the long run I think it would do more damage as all ticks apply.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Nice thing about builds in CoX is that we have so many options.
I could take out 3 or 4 of the slots but I find the 260% regen really does help. With 2452 hp's it gives me 26.5 hp per second regen, this might not sound like much but if you add it to the 940 hp's from healing flames it equals 1285 health every 13 seconds.

Like you said though, so many options and builds

    Edit:

I managed to dowload the old mids and put it in a seperate directory, this is what I will be running now untill i19 comes out.

As I said earleir , I cannot post my build as I use a modified Mids that has i19 inherent fitness built in. you can pretty much see my build from the last screenshot.

I have run every combination of defense possible on this Fire/Fire, he is 6 years old. I find that s/l and melee defense is the best for me. It’s a layered defense so I am not a “ one trick pony “

The 43.8% s/l Def covers all s/l including ranged damage and energy/neg/fire/cold that have s/l components to them .

The 43.2% melee Def covers all melee positional including psi, toxic or anything else not covered by the s/l Def ( to fill in the Def holes )

The only thing that I am susceptible to is ranged psi/toxic, In that case I run like hell into melee as fast as possible

    Edit:

I get most of my s/l and melee both from the same sets anyway Kintetics Combats and Obliterations

Remember when you stealth through a mission to turn your damage aura off. Of course that never happened to me, cough....

I believe Glad Armor also has a -KB bonus, but is considerably more expensive.
True but if I replaced all 3 sets of Oblits to get the same -KB protection as Acrobatics I would lose a huge 11.25 melee Def, 5.65 S/L Def, think I will stick with the .183/s toggle.

2.00 EPS recovery sounds like plenty, but spamming attacks that are underslotted for end reduction could still potentially give you some trouble.
Only difference between my build now and the new build is the modified .183/s end Acrobatics and the addition of Conserve Power, if anything I will be better off with the new build since I have a second clicky to mitigate endurance issues. Also, in TF/SF I am mostly using BA, Burn, FSC and Taunt with the occasional single attack when not tab taunting, not hugely end intensive.

P.S. the "total's" screenshot in the second URL is facing 3 opponent's with Consume, with 10 opponents it goes to 4.63/s recovery

Once I had an option to not have Acrobatics, I took it. It'll be easier to fit it in with inherent Fitness, sure, but I'm still not sure it's worth it. On my personal tanking build for Fire/Fire, I'm adding in Teleport Friend (slot in Winter's Gift -slow and free up a slot, plus utility on teams), Build Up, and Maneuvers for a LOTG +recharge. I'd rather not waste endurance on Acrobatics.

But maybe I'm still annoyed about all that time when I had to fit it in to my build. Heh.
True but with i19 I have 3 free power choices, which for me will be SJ, Acrobatics and Conserve Power. With the new Consume up ever 60 seconds and Conserve Power, End really isn't an issue to me ( Miracle and Numina too ).

What taking Acrobatics does do is free up 2 slots, one in SS (Zephyr) and one in Temperature Protecion (Steadfast)and allows me to replace the Karma in CJ with a LoTG 7.5. This allowed me to 6 slot taunt with Perfect Zingers for another 3.125 Def.

    Edit:
End usage really isn't that bad even with 6 toggles and Oblits. I took screenshots of Mids and linked them below because I am using a user "modified" version that allows i19 inherant. As you can see 1.33/s out of 3.28/s end for normal and .74/s from 3.63/s for Consume / Conserve

Does't work all the time , same thing happened to me on Saturday when I was doing banners in Sharks. As soon as I zoned in with the ferry the pets became totally unresponsive. I did /petcom_all release /petcom_all dismiss /release_pet all, nothing worked. the only way to fix it was to go back and forth to Cap through the ferry 2 or 3 times till their AI cought up

I too would like to know how he knows this.

If it doesnt take slow sets then why does an Impeded Swiftness:chance for smashing proc when the demon lord runs into melee? this is before he does the "hand up in the air" shiver animation.
  25. So I was thinking of dropping the -4 KB IO's from SS (Zephyr), CJ (Karma) and TP (Steadfast) for Super Jump/Acrobatics since I already have CJ, the only issue I have is its protection. On PWiki and RedTormax it is lists as -7 KB prot and -2 KB prot, does this mean -9 total or -7 then -2? If its -9 then It will be ok for most things, but -7 is to low for most AV/Heroes which have a lot mag 8+ KB powers.
