Masterminds being the AT furthest from anything available on the Hero side of the fence, I'm assuming that it will be the most frequent Red-to-Blue conversion once Going Rogue goes live. Are there any particular powerset combinations that you see being more interesting, more popular, or more whatever when bringing into the Hero-side environment, especially in teaming with Heroes?

I was noting it especially with my villains that were getting their Black Ops accolade (for Arachnos Agent and Thief badges), they weren't getting their Smoke Bomb power at all. Same with the Physician accolade not giving out the Revive Ally power, and Police Chief accolade and its Baton power. These are all new accolades being handed out without powers, not just removal of exisiting powers that have timed- or charged-out.

As a far-gone altaholic (126 so far), and not a tremendously active player, I've been spending most of my in-game time moving characters from one Day Job location to another, and checking the market on the way. As I log in to each character, I check to see what other DJ badges I need to get, especially to work towards the DJ accolades, which along with other DJ badges are supposed to offer click-usage, temporary powers. When I first started getting these powers, I could normally find them in the Powers window under Day Job Powers.
However, lately when I've been checking my characters, their auto-powers received from Day Job badges and accolades are showing up, but not the click powers. Those DJ powers that had been in my power trays are gone.
Are the Day Jobs no longer giving out temporary powers? Are these powers located under a different window or section of the Powers window? Didn't see anything mentioned in the main Known Issues page on COH.com, nor in a Search, but I apologize if this has been brought up before (multiple times?). -

Gratz, Cherokee! To you and especially the Mrs!
I see your birthday is today (Friday, 5-15-09), with your bouncing baby born yesterday. You just missed out on a fun alignment that my family has. My twin brother and I were born on our father's birthday. But no worries, you can just start a big party at 11:00 pm on the 14th, and carry it over to the following day! -
I've had problems with Windows Vista in the past, where I would go to log in and then I couldn't click on anything, it seemed. What it ended up being was the system didn't like that the program updates itself, assumed that it was a potential virus at work, and wouldn't let me connect to the login server because of it. When it put up its window, however, City stayed up visually, and so I couldn't see that another small window was active, and I couldn't Alt-Tab to it. I ended up having to keep another window open (My Documents), have the error pop up, switch to My Documents through Alt-Tab, and then the little window became active.
I have no idea if this is the error you're dealing with, but it may help in your own troubleshooting. -

Blasters
Proliferated: Radiation Blast, Dark Blast, Radiation Manipulation, Dark Manipulation.
New: Spikes (Spines / Darts / Thorns / Whatever you want to call them, I believe between Thorny Assualt, the Blood Widow Primary, and Spines, there are enough Ranged attacks to cobble together a set, but as the looks of the powers are not truly compatible, the amount of animations and powers work required would probably just shy of making a new set), Pistols, Energy Rifle, Earth Blast, Radiant (or Light) Blast, Energy Pistols, Chemical Manipulation, Earth Manipulation, Radiance
[/ QUOTE ]
I have suggested powersets for both Ninjutsu and Chi Manipulation (kung-fu) as secondaries.
[ QUOTE ]
Controllers
Proliferated: Dark Miamsa, Poison (maybe renamed and themed to Alchemy or Chemistry in the same way Empathy was renamed and themed into Pain domination), Cold Domination, Traps
New: Electric Control, Gadget Control, Dark Control, Temporal Control, Temporal Manipulation
[/ QUOTE ]
A version of Metal Control that would pass copyright-infringement muster would be lovely.
[ QUOTE ]
Defenders
Proliferated: Traps, Poison, Thermal Radiation, Assault Rifle, Fire Blast
New: Temporal Manipulation, Pistols, Spikes, Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, Earth Blast, Radiant Blast
[/ QUOTE ]
Again, I have a Probability suggestion that might work, too.

Scrappers
Proliferated: Energy Melee, Super Strength, Electric Melee, Stone Melee, Battle Axe, War Mace, Icy Melee, Energy Aura, Electric Armor, Stone Armor, Ice Armor, Ninjutsu
New: Psychic Blades, Staff Fighting, Street Fighting, Radiation Melee (Caustic Combat or Withering Melee maybe? I hate the name Radiation Melee), Force Shield
[/ QUOTE ]
I would prefer Psychic Melee over the more specific Blades, but otherwise agree.

Tankers
Proliferated: Electric Armor, Energy Aura, Regeneration, Super Reflexes, Ninjutsu(?), Broadsword, Spines, Martial Arts, Electric Melee, Claws, Katana.
New: Psychic Blades, Staff Fighting, Street Fighting, Radiation Melee, Force Shield
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd like to see a Polearm or Spear Fighting set, maybe something lighter/quicker for Scrappers/Stalkers and something heavy for Tankers/Brutes.
[ QUOTE ]
Brutes
Proliferated: Spines, Claws, Broadsword, Icy Melee, Katana, Martial Arts, Regeneration, Ice Armor, Ninjutsu(?)
New: Psychic Blades, Staff Fighting, Street Fighting, Radiation Melee, Force Shield
Corruptors
Proliferated: Archery, Psychic blast, Poison, Force Field
New: Temporal Manipulation, Pistols, Spikes, Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, Earth Blast, Radiant Blast
[/ QUOTE ]
What about Trick Arrow being proliferated?
[ QUOTE ]
Dominators
Proliferated: (Dark) Illusion, Dark Assault, Earthen Assault
New: Electric Control, Dark Control, Gadget Control, Temporal Control, Temporal Assault
[/ QUOTE ]
I would also advocate Blade Assault, that I made a while back. A Mace Assault (using the Arachnos melee/ranged weapon) might also be nice, along with Ninja Assault (Martial Arts mixed with either Archery or shurikens) and Radiation Assault (or call it Atomic Assault).

Masterminds
Proliferated: Sonic Resonance, Kinetcs, Radiation Emission, Cold Domination, Thermal Radiation
New: Demons, Clowns (Carnies), Pirates, Clones, Illusions, Elementals, Temporal Manipulation
[/ QUOTE ]
Really need to see both Plants and Thought Control as primaries, along with Energy Support as a secondary.
[ QUOTE ]
Stalkers
Proliferated: Broadsword, Stone Melee, Fiery Melee, Super Strength, Icy Melee, Stone Armor, Fiery Aura, Invulnerability, Ice Armor
New: Psychic Blades, Staff Fighting, Street Fighting, Radiation Melee, Force Shield
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a Gadget Suit out there, too. -

The update page says nothing about Dual Pistols or Demon Summoning (though I think Demon Binding sounds kewler).
[/ QUOTE ]
Isn't there a loading screen text that talks specifically about a named hero coming from a dimension where demon binding is common? -
Graphically, I'd be looking for animated hair, including pigtails and braids, beards, and body fur. Also some more costume material options (dull and shiny metal, leather, cloth) that are used in all the different costume sections, with and without obvious breaks between sections. Tights with Skin options that actually look like tights over skin, versus just painted skin -- this especially goes for the masks (white mask over dark skin =/= thinned-out white watercolors painted onto dark skin). Different base "skin" options, including the aforementioned fur, scales, and metal.
Powers and powersets should be more modular and adjustable, e.g., to allow a melee character to pick up ranged powers that then adjust the modifiers to the melee powers and other abilities. A character could have powers from different groupings (Psychic Blast and Dual Pistols), but without the ability to cherry-pick the best of each group, i.e., develop each group independently.
Combining the last two paragraphs: have more costume options that work for player-characters (kicks for robe-wearing toons), and allow holsters and sheathes for weapons, with different placements and draw animations.
Have some powers/powersets only available to a given character as part of a "gamma ray exposure", "chemical immersion", "cybernetic surgery", etc., that takes place in-game, or just use it to allow a powerset respec, with follow-on missions that gradually allow for the levels to be doled out until they're completely respec'd. Maybe only allow it to be done at a couple different points in the character's career, but only once per character, or even only temporarily. -

NO I can't see allowing players to just go out and BUY more story arcs. Like the man said.. you want more EARN them. Get yourself a Devs choice or a Hall of Fame and earn the right to another slot. Please please don't let this comment turn this into another FARMING debate but there are litterally thousands of FARM oriented stories out there.. WHO do you think will be first in line to buy more story slots? Although since they historically play the same mission over and over maybe not All they really need is one arc anyway.
[/ QUOTE ]
See, this is where I think you've hit the nail on the head -- the people who actually want to have more story arcs, likely are not the ones who would flood the MA with tons of either garbage or farming missions. I would, however, keep the options to get more arcs necessarily limited, e.g., you could buy 1, 2, or 3 more arcs, at reducing prices/arc. But the most you could get for arcs would be the three base, plus up to maybe three purchased, plus any rewarded ones. Any option to purchase has to be limited, in order to keep the value of the original three and any rewarded fourth or fifth worth something.
But the ability to purchase additional non-essential stuff -- and I do consider additional story arcs to be NES, just like the booster packs -- has been what has allowed the regular "free" issue updates to continue to be robust. I am a little annoyed that the majority of the new costume sets have come through the boosters or the "expansion boxes" rather than "free" updates, but I've been willing to make the trade-off to push for new content, new powersets, and such. There's probably plenty like me that have more than one account, where you have to decide if you're going to get these additional products for both, one, or neither of your accounts.
I would push a little more for better systems and processes for sorting through the dross to get to the really golden arcs, even at larger numbers of arcs in the system, rather than simply gripe that the number we have now is too much and restrict everyone, including the great storytellers, from making more. Same thing with viewing this as another round of farm missions -- deal with the issue of farm missions and arcs, and it won't matter that much how many arcs are available to individual players. -

How about creating a new (small) building interior of an office with Calvin Scott in it. It's there ALL THE TIME, but noone knows where it is, really.
If you're on the Oroborous Calvin Scott TF he's the Calvin Scott of the past, bigging for your help.
If you're NOT on the Oro TF then he's just Calvin Scott, guy working at his desk in an office building and the only way to find him is to KNOW Where he is or randomly find him by clicking the doors of every office building in Paragon.

I would be in favor of the Oro-only access to Calvin Scott, but then I would let it "leak" that there was this super sneaky way to gain access to him in the regular timestream game, by clicking on all of the doors. Make it the biggest snipe hunt ever in CoH... -

Anyone else got an idea?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hate to be at all snarky, but yeah, maybe a few folks have had some ideas -- please use Search, or at least look over the last 50 threads, or look in on the Lady-Jade's Power Suggestion Box (stickied in this section) at the Ranged sets. These threads get started up about once a week...
On a separate note, I'd recommend against the melee attack in the set, even just one. Even mentioning it in your posts is virtually guaranteed to generate a significant amount of vitriol. -
I've nearly always had some (probably ignorant) misgivings about playing Force Field characters. One of my only FF characters for a long time was an Illusion/FF Controller, but she was part of a failed attempt at creating a Taxibot-type character. I've bumped that out a little bit, with an FF/TA Defender (Arbalestina, which is another name for an embrasure or arrow slit, essentially defenses for an archer) and a Robots/FF Mastermind.
I think my concerns were centered around thinking I wouldn't be able to help myself in combat, only my teammates, and combining that with sometimes having a hard time finding good teams to play with. I had tried to edge around that worry by playing any of the other defensive sets that offered shields, including Sonic, Cold, and Thermal. I've really liked playing them, but wasn't sure I could fully embrace a Force Field defender.
I think your guide has changed that thought process -- at least for now. I've just started up a Force Field/Dark Blast Defender, named Unfamiliar Hero (he's a transformed cat of a stage magician, an un-familiar). I'll try to come back every once in a while, and post updates on his progress as a Self-Defender.
