    There is nothing wrong with your gf’s choice, or the recommendations made by the above poster’s. However for my money I would go for Super Strength / Energy Aura brute.
    She would help fill the gaps in the Rage / Overload Crashes, which would both be back in no time because of the SB. Also her heal, which is centered on you would be perfect. But I think the jewel in the crown would be you firing off energy drain and her firing off transference, any mob would have NO / ZERO end left, with nothing in the tank there would be nothing left to hit you with.

    I think a strong solution would be to pull the Arena and / or all of the PvP zones together in some sort of cross server configuration. I would participate in more Arena events for sure, if there were greater numbers than those on Defiant.

    This would be mine – I’m not a big fan of the villain epics. Plus I think you should play to your strengths hence fiery embrace and all of those flame attacks. You should have full mobility and quality of life Travel powers with Fly and Super Speed. I have also taken out Acrobatics. You should be able (over the course of the game) to slot 3 Knockback Protection’s from the Steadfast Protection IO set, I would slot one in each of your shield and one in Temp Protection.

    First and foremost it has to be dynamic – Personally I think a SS/ Brute with a Thugs/Poison MM< would give you an unbeatable combination, plus there would be some great RP angles.

    Well after respecing my blaster at lvl 46 I had a moment of enlightenment myself and I suddenly discovered I didn't have to die on every other mission. Switching from a max damage build has reduced my effectiveness (read that as maximum damage to max mobs) when teaming with a defender/controller who could keep me alive, to a build with holds and disorients and taking so little damage during a mission that I didn't feel the need to pop an insp.

    This is exactly how my blaster is turning out. High single target damage is far safer. If I am alive I am blasting, all the better I say. AoE's may pump out some nice orange number's , but the risk of all out aggro is far greater.

    Overpowered and dominator, should not be used in the same sentence. However for a few brief levels my Fire/Fire dom was a solo players dream. Which past lvl 40 quickly became a nightmare. Occasionally I still have brief moments of former glory but sadly I do not have the emotional strength to get him to 50.
