Hiya and welcome to Virtue Crazy. I'm not part of an active group and I don't get to play very often as of late but I'd join you for some runs of whatever on either side sometime.
-
Quote:Agreed. Not a bad run but I'd have been more impressed if you did this without the incarnate pets but still congrats. I wonder if you could if you had say mace mastery for the pet and -res.Yeah, I'm more partial to the WarTroller way of doing things, myself. The pets would be slaughtered if I couldn't hold the AV aggro. And I never would have beat Marauder if I couldn't generate enough damage without using pets to nearly match his regen rate after the first set of pets expired.
It's just more fun going toe-to-toe for me.
On a related note I need to update my thread since I have more pics of stuff I downed. -

Has anyone ever been on vent with TL? I honestly suspect that TL is a female or at the very least a feminine dude from so lulzy conversations in RV. Man I really need to save chatlogs. Virtue is the rp server so would it be all that strange if a female named a toon terminal lad?
-
You can't possibly be the worst pvp'er on virtue tokyo, you're being to modest. I mean paix and terminal lad(crazy woman) ring a bell anyone.....
-
Quote:lolCombustI probably should have introduced myself to Combust, Virtue PvP is small enough that everyone knows everyone, and i'm sure he knows Absolute Perfection, oh well.
He's a decent guy and not bad at pvp. He once gave me a good 1v1 on his fire/em blaster. I'm not sure if I recognize that name but I haven't pvp'd in awhile either.... -
Quote:This.Cold has significant debuff advantages in -regen, -dmg, -res, -rech (single target; Storm has the aoe -rech advantage), and -special. Cold also has buff advantages in slow debuff resistance, unlimited endurance buff, and team defense.
Storm's advantages are damage, knockback, confuse resistance, a heal, end drain resistance, stuns and -tohit.
In my view, having played both to 50 several times, Storm is more fun and a better soloer, but Cold contributes dramatically more to a team. Cold is more comparable to /Rad than /Storm, frankly.
I love /Cold it's an awesome set.
To the OP I'd vote for Elec/Cold(of course I would look at my sig) since it's a fun combination. With I21 coming I'd even vote for Elec/Poison. The synergy between the two sets are great and I will be rolling one to see which will do better between the Elec/Cold and Elec/Poison.
-
Yeah I don't know why I was attempting to make the -res proc fire off more than once in Tornado and FR. Still you'd get good -res values like Strato said. Also I did some testing on rikti dummies on my Elec/Cold and it was showing Sleet stacking 3 times for a few seconds. I did not know it could.
-
Quote:I've looked more into Traps/ and Storm/ and I never knew Storm/ could pull ahead in the -res debuffing department. Hypothetically Traps/ could manage -139.8% res debuff while Storm/ could get up to -150%. Of course both sets have to have perma hasten levels of recharge and not including any outside buffs. I probably could have gotten more -res out of both sets but I kept them both with softcapped defense.Back to demon numbers - on a single target (hypothetical)
Sonic disruption -22.5 (controller modifiers?)
Liquefy (Achilles heal proc) -20
Sonic siphon -22.5
Lash -9.375 (cast 1.8 sec, duration is six seconds)
Crack the Whip -9.375 (cast 3 sec cast time, duration is six seconds)
Hellfire demonling -15
Hellfire Gargoyle -20
So, I am not sure of the sonic modifiers, but these are the numbers I am showing for a total in the optimal situation: 118.75
Any takers on those numbers?
Now as far as /Sonic goes(please correct me if I'm wrong) with a chain of Shout-Shriek-Scream-Shriek-repeat you could generate between 80% -res debuff constantly. Combine it with Storm/ and you can generate 230% -res debuff. -
Wow you're right it does say that. I don't know if that's right or not though. Anyone know offhand? I may have to check ingame later with my demon/pain mm.
-
Yep hence why I said without taking anything else into consideration. I'd still vote for the Traps/Sonic over the Demon/Sonic mostly due to pet AI and not being able to control it to where they use the -res debuff consistantly. The defender would pull ahead with the amount of -res debuffing it can do because you can control what attacks you use and the duration of the debuffs last longer than the MM's pets.
-
-
-
I'd vote for Traps/Son defender too. Cold/ is good but since HL is on a long recharge timer it sucks when the debuff portion misses. I wish there was a good visual indicator when the debuff portion hits a target besides the second HL buff on your bar.

If he was an actual fan and made it more like the anime instead of that POS he made I would agree with you....

So how does this look........

Quote:Hmm now this has my attention. As soon as I'm home from work I shall attempt to sculpt a build in mids that's both a team build and an AV solo'ing build. One thing I do know is that it will probably be pricey.Nothing fancy except for 3 purple sets, no capped s/l or ranged def, 82% rech which isn't OMG, etc. And she didn't spec the build for AV soloing, meaning it has all the empathy teammate buffs that are useless on an AV and the Radiation AoEs, which makes it even more impressive.
---------
BTW do you think it would be possible without incarnate buffs? I guess it would if you put out enough DPS without Reactive and specced the build for ranged def and ST attacks for AV soling only, even without purple sets since you would have more places for other +rech and +def sets and an extra lotg in say, weave or cj. -
Nice job. I'll have to look at your build when I get the time to see what you slotted.
-
Oh hell yeah. WAY better than any version that idiot M. Night could come up with.
-
Quote:Thisi pretty much only choose reactive for interface because the debuffs on the other stuff is negligible vs strong targets (such as GMs and AVs due to debuff resists) and is not super useful vs weaker targets (like normal mobs of minion to boss)
if the debuffs from the other interfaces were unresistable, then i would reconsider my options but until then i am strictly going with reactive -
KM/Fire scrapper is very deadly. I'd also recommend waiting till I21 then make a KM/EA scrapper since the energy aura update is going to be good.
-
Even though I don't like to gamble....
500 on Positron. I'd love to see him go just to see Dark_Respite's reaction.(yes I'm joking) -
I'd LOVE it if they removed HD and TS. I quit PvP'ing in I14 due to those two and also diminishing returns but DR is a different discussion. All of my PvP toons except two were support/disruption builds so I13 killed my zone fun. I like that the arena has options to undo the changes but, to me, the chaos of zone play is much more enjoyable.

Quote:LOL I never thought about it that way.Yep. Boomie, you've spawned another controller.
Basically all higher brain functions (and lower, including movement) stopped for a second and an "AW HOW CUTE!" was ripped from my lips.
GW's Soulstorm has NOTHING on an "AW HOW CUTE!"
