/threadjack due to my sig this thread is now about MTG.
Blue is right about my playstyle even though my favorite deck is a mono black creatureless control deck. -
A_Z you need to buy GR if you haven't and PvE you dirty PvP'er.
-
Yes you can. Also you can slot the straight rech IO from Adjusted Targeting to help get the recharge down. I think I have my widows ML slotted with the Def/Rech from LotG, Red Fortune, GotA and the Rech from Adjusted Targeting.

Well hai thar A_Q, it's been awhile. That's a good prize considering how cheap the entrance fee is.
You know I've yet to be on a STF. -
I'd love to have someone like me as a stalker, just sayin........
-
You don't plain and simple. If I see a toon name that catches my attention I check globals to see if I know that person and that's how I saw you at the Cap BM. I've recognized quite a few forumites ingame that way.

I'd vote to go with Elec/ since it has alot of synergy with /cold. The entire Elec/ primary drains end and so does the gremlins damage aura. The treck up to pets was a little slow solo due to low dmg but the ride was safe when nothing could attack me since they were all drained and slowed. After you get pets and sleet things die alot quicker.

I never could marry speed boost since it would cheat on me so.
Any power that gives me +Rech so I can attack more often AND gives me +Run so I never have to turn on SS is so good. Oh how I love SB so but sadly it is not to be..... -
That pic reminds me. There were three of his clones but they spawned on the lower catwalk and couldn't see them from that angle.

Quote:NO UHmm, the main difference I see in our power trays is, you have Hasten and Tough, and what appears to be Aid Self. Clearly, those three powers are overpowered and should be nerfed!
At one time I was planning on using this guy to solo pylons and what have you but I've since stripped the good stuff out of the build and turned it into a Ice Mistral SF toon. All his sets are for that range so I can keep perma ML at that level. Hasten, Tough and Aid Self are tools that increase this toons survivability a good bit. -
Quote:Here we go, I just got finished with this run. The quit team you see was me getting there the first time and going hmm why not up the diff instead of spawn size to see if I could still beat him.Last weekend. I may have some time to redo this and get some screenies this time.

Quote:Honestly that had to be the way you approached it. I ran it on my widow who has all common IO's with the exception of Mind Link which is frankenslotted with Def/Rech IO's and had no problems. I ran right up to Trapdoor, hit ML then proceded to drop him well before ML dropped. The mish was set on +0/x2 btw.Just did this on my Widow. The straight up fight/knock him in the lava tactic that worked with my Tanker and WS didn't work with my Widow. Couldn't keep the guy in the lava, and it didn't seem to be doing much to him anyway. After four defeats and two trips to the Hospital, there were mass quantities of clones lolly-gagging around. So I had my Widow attack the clones - moving in smaller and smaller circles around the room - until they were all gone. Then I had her pop a fistful of reds and shortly thereafter Trapdoor was down.
When it was over I added them up: 45 clones defeated over the course of the mission. -
Quote:This.Show me one other thing in the game that actually makes you more powerful simply for running a single arc and then playing the game fairly normally. Everything else gives you reward merits, and as I said, reward merits in and of themselves do not make you more powerful.
This particular arc unlocks the ability to gain the Alpha slot, which does indeed do more to make you more powerful than any other single story arc in the game. It should be more difficult than other content to reflect that.
Personally, and I'm probably an extreme minority in this, I'd rather NONE of the missions in that arc be auto-completable. Am I going to stand on my soapbox and complain about it until they do it? No, not even a little. They allowed most of the missions in the arc to be auto-completed, and I see no reason why they should change it after the fact, but if they had not allowed it, I wouldn't be complaining either.
I really don't get why people are complaining that end game content is too hard for them to do alone. End game content is generally defined as: Something for max level characters to do that is usually more difficult or challenging than content that comes before it. How many other games have end game content that is even soloable at all? I can't speak from experience, but I'd wager a guess that the answer is "not too damn many".
I say, be glad that the devs even gave us the option to solo it, and auto-complete missions if need be. They could have taken a page from other games' playbooks and made the end game content a massive raid that you have to have all the best gear to complete, but that raid is where you get the best gear in the first place. (I think we know which game I'm referring to here)
Really IMO the arc should have been slightly harder. -

Quote:This. Well put Guy.To GuyPerfect: Please tell me you play on Virtue, sir. I would like to shake your hand.
On a similar note I'd be willing to help just about anyone if they need a hand on a mish. Seeing how I mostly PuG/solo on one of my 50's I'm usually not to busy to lend a hand. I just helped a random guy the other day through the Alpha arc because he couldn't quite put out enough dps to drop trapdoor. If someone needs a hand with a mish on virtue feel free to send me a tell to @Boomie. -
Thanks for the ideas guys. I REALLY didn't want to waste the cash on kinetic combats but that's better than killing alot of DPS.
-
That is true but I don't think that'll hurt to much. That is something to think about hence why I'm here to get different opinions.

I love this power and I love it even more on my resistance based scrappers. It's almost like a MoG minus the extra resistance and less defense, anywho I have a question about that. Let's say you have perma hasten AND the Spiritual Radial Boost with meld frankenslotted for def/rech. That should put the recharge down to around 7 seconds correct? With so little downtime would that be enough to completely forgo trying to softcap with sets and just shoot for some +def instead? Depending on that could be dangerous but would that be enough for pylons/AV's just as long as you have good resists?

I really enjoyed those arcs. I got beaten by Protean twice and then I realized what I was doing wrong.

Quote:This. You can solo Ramiel's arc on a good DPS character easily, or you can solo it on a not-so-good DPS character with just a little strategy, or you can duo it with the help of just one other person. We're talking about the arc that decides whether you are worthy of becoming an incarnate or not -- as far as I'm concerned, if you can't figure out a way to get through this arc, then maybe you don't deserve to be an incarnate. ^_^ If anything in the game deserves to be slightly harder than average, this arc does. And it's still not that hard...
So yeah, I'd be very disappointed if they made it easier. And I agree with the difference between "thrilling" and "hard".
I've ran through the arc several times now on different toons on several different difficulties with all SO'd toons and I still don't see the hard part. Heck each time on the honoree mish I popped 3 purples and ran right into the final room to take out the portals then the rikti spawns and finally the eb's. Guess I'm just not seeing something. -
On a related not has anyone recently ran the villain tip mish about the Council Parade? Those "returning" meks were spawning so slowly I ended up playing around on mids just to pass the time.

The proof............
The first burn is with fire shields on and the second is with them off.
