    SG or Cult?

As one who knows of them and their leader I'd say neither. I cannot wrap my head around rule #1 under guild guidelines. So it's ok for the leader to be one but no one else can? Best thing to do is ignore that group altogether. From what I've seen that is the only group that operates like that.

It may be but we don't need anything extravagant. They just need to set the zone limit to the max zone limit of the arena which is 280.

All of this is without considering incarnate abilites (don't think they've been around long enough for the GM hunters to tell us much about them yet).
    ....
As a final note, search for Silverado's threads, he's one of the guys that posted about his AV/GM smacking with a bunch of different ATs, if I remember right.
Sadly giant monsters have protection to all types of mezz but they all can be end drained fairly easy barring Lusca with tentacles and Kronos Titan.(At least from my fights against GM's solo)

Incarnate abilities, especially the alpha slot, give more build freedom and I believe it makes it easier to down GM/Av's quicker/more efficiently.

Silverado is a beast and that's all I can say. I've only managed to down 3 GM's and a handfull of AV's on my Electric/Cold Controller. I'm gonna have to try some more when I get time.

I think I got a level 30 karma that I crafted for like 1 or 2 mil the other week... practically giving these things away!
Agreed. I have at least seven of each kind of kb IO mostly due to the RNG loves to give me them.
  5. I'd vote for two KB IO's Sam. If you need a lvl50 BOTZ I've got a bunch of them in my base on Virtue for that very reason and I won't mind parting with a few. If you need them send me a pm or tell(@Boomie) and I'll help you out.

    What's your typical attack chain?
I open with Electric Fence->Sleet->Infridgidate->Benumb->Heat Loss. After the debuffs are laid down and I have aggro I generally use Electric Fence->Tesla Cage->Electric Fence->Infridgidate->Poisonous Ray with all my other debuffs when they're up.

The problem with ghost is all those miners taking the pets aggro and not to mention him running all over creation. I managed to keep him in a small location due to him jumping up and down between the ship, the bridge and the silo's near the BM.

    Better version of the build...

This is true, that's how I got my new version of my elec/cold's build. I put it on the scrapper forums and just by moving around a few slots that I could change got me everything that I wanted out of the build.
  8. Hmm now that sounds kinda fun, a tank that pairs well with my troller could more than likely duo just about anything.

Come on Dumple I'll take you on a duo ITF in alot less than that.
  11. I'm really concerned on the end usage.

If you don't mind losing perma hasten and tarantula(boo for losing dps) you could rob the enzyme slot from hover move it to hasten then use the cardiac core paragon to ease end usage. That will help out since you'll need to run tactics against big targets. Unless you carry alot of blues the pets will keep aggro instead of you since you won't be attacking much and that means resummoning singy and tarantula alot. This alternative slotting is something to consider.

Thanks and tbh I could have shaved a good bit of time off of it but oh well. What did you solo your ITF with? Now that I have done one run and know how to handle it better I want to do a masters run since that sounds pretty fun.

In the first mish I just killed everything I ran across with no problems. The second mish I confused the boss khelds and had them kill the spawn and cyst thus bypassing the ambushes. The third mish I perma confused the EB's and with thier help I walked right over everything until the AV's. For them I just single pulled and took them out. The fourth mish I flew straight to rommie and confused everything on the platform to clear it off. I ended up sleeping rommie and nictus and after a few mishaps I single pulled him fairly easily.

One of these choices implies that the story sucks on all levels, no matter who is looking at it. That is a huge problem that should be addressed.

The other one can't be helped, because pleasing everyone is impossible. If a Dev worried about making everyone happy, they'd never put out a game because it would never be finished.

Praetoria, nor the Incarnate story, fall under the first option. There are things about both I probably would have done a bit differently, but I let go of where I expected the story to go and am trying to enjoy where the writers are taking us with THEIR story.
    This.
  14. in starting my solo ITF saturday Virtue.

I know I posted it in my solo'ing thread but I wanted to say thanks again. It took 4 hours and 25 minutes but my Elec/Cold took it down sans temps and two deaths. I'm debating on attempting a MoITF this weekend but I don't know if I'll have the time. The first pic is the nice people who helped me out.

    -ghoost
If you get a renewable temp pet like you do in RV from it then that'd be great. You could even tie it into the morality system with a repetable arc. Say for a hero you disperse the fog and the pantheon and as a prize you get a shard with a shaman in it to help you. For a vig you bring the fog and pantheon back and you get a shard with a ghost's soul in it to help out. Anywho just a thought.
  17. I can't see the numbers at work but what do you want to do with the build? Those pvp IO's cost a stupid amount if you didn't know that already. Personally I'd drop the decimation proc from levitate and the clouded senses proc from terrify and move them around somewhere else. I'd either take a end mod from stamina and replace it with a performance shifter proc or drop another slot into stam and have 3 perfomance shifters in it. I'd also move the Unbreakable constraints from total domination and put them into dominate and then put that last slot into it and drop the apocalypse damage into it and get alot more mileage out of that attack. If you don't want to slot for alot +def you could easily go psi mastery and have IW up alot with that much +rech.

Thanks alot. Surprisingly it wasn't that difficult and I honestly expected it to be much more difficult. During the last mish I lost black scorpion(weak little bugger) in the Ms. Liberty/Mynx ambush and then ghost widow after the citadel, synapse, positron ambush. I admitedly ran for the exit and let her die when those 3 came so I could shed the aggro and engage them as I chose. I could easily handle them 1vs1 and could do 2vs1 with using a couple of greens but I didn't want to try all 3 at one time.

After that I had no trouble with anything else but statesman. He wasn't hard to kill but he sure was nearly impossible to peel off the jade spider. The spider almost killed him till I managed to get his attention and fly around till he regen'd. Even though we ran a ways off the spider followed and gave me an unwanted hand at the end.

On another note, I've tried some stuff with rommie in AE and found he isn't easily end drained but still killable solo none the less. Sadly I couldn't put his nictus in a mish or I would have made a good game plan for the ITF. I'm going to get another vanguard heavy and maybe some nukes just in case I get frustrated if I can't split him from the nictus. I'm probably going to try the ITF this coming weekend and see what I can do.

Thanks to everyone who provided information and/or tested the conflicting answers!
I see no harm in referring to it as a crit. The only reason I personally don't refer to it as such because it doesn't do the extra damage. I'd LOVE for it to do crit dmg though.
  20. Not that long but I wasn't timing it. It felt like he took less time than Death Surge though. It could have been faster if I could have kept the pets on him. Due to him jumping on top of everything my Gremlins' ADD kicked in and started killing everything else while the tarantula mostly stayed with me.

    No.

When it comes to leveling a new alt I hate the lower levels(below 32) with a passion. I've come to dislike exempting down for lower level stuff unless it's a tf/sf. All the old contacts on red and blue side bore me and I skip them altogether now in favor of PuG's seeing how they can be alot more entertaining than an arc you've ran through over and over again. Post 32 I feel like I can really enjoy a toon because I get the feeling everything is finally coming together.

When it comes to going after IO's or other shinies, excluding badges and incarnate slots, I want to get it done asap. Badges and slots I like earning and I seem to enjoy it more if I can get them solo.

Well I'm sold. I haven't levelled any controllers in a while and I was considering a ill / rad or a fire / storm when I get around to playing another one. Now I'm thinking it'll be elec / cold I'm not expecting to be teh awesome with it but I'm betting it could end up being quite fun.
It is a fun set. I honestly think the set has plenty of synergy in two different ways. First the end sapping abilities of /cold pair really well and lets you keep stuff all the way up to GM's sapped. Second all that -res from /cold allows you to make quick work of spawns since elec/ is lacking in the AoE department when it comes to damage.

I started one of these after reading about the awesomeness here.

I would be curious to see the OP's pre-purple/pre-HO leveling build. I slotted low level LotG 7.5s and 4 Basilisk as soon as possible. Also focused on the miracle +R, numi +R/+R and performance shifter proc to help with end usage.

I'm at level 32 now. This combo screams to be PL'd straight to 50 for the purple recharge and HO defense slotting. The lower levels are painfully slow if you like to solo a lot like I do. If it weren't for my vet rewards giving me the blackwand and the nem staff, I probably would have given up long ago.
For the bulk of this guys leveling I ran alot of TF's. Pre 35 was slow to solo with but fairly safe none the less. I did end up relying on my vet powers when hasten was down but wasn't that necessary if I slotted rech into my powers.

I recreated my build I had before I started slotting IO's. I used AS and Boxing ALOT when I focused on a build that didn't take jolting chain or chain fences. This is pretty much what level I took everything pre IO's.

  23. There is a zero chance for critical with Concentrated Strike. It instead is front loaded with damage and has a 20% chance to recharge power siphon(scrap) build up(stalk).

    My silly thread

That is very nice of you. I do this for friends but I never thought about doing this for strangers. I do help others with Trapdoor though several times a week.

Though you cheated with the Heavy Not that I have any characters that could solo Lusca with an entire team of temp pets (but that's beside the point) [This is all tongue in cheek]
Thanks alot. Yeah the heavy was kind of cheating but what can I say I was tired of smacking that thing around.

Oh I forgot to mention I did use a Backup radio to give me a hand but the dang thing took one shot from Lusca and died so I didn't count him. I was really tempted to use a shivan too but that would have made taking down the head a little to easy. Reminds me it took me around 3 hours from start to finish so that's why I was in a hurry to take the head down.
