  1. I just wanted to share the news with my fellow players that my girlfriend gave birth to my first child Emily late Tuesday night. Sadly she's only about two days old and between her mother and my family she is already spoiled. *sigh*

Anywho this is her early Wednesday morning....

With the changes coming to /EA it will be even stonger and prettier.

    Well hai thar.

    Also fix'd.
  5. Man that makes me wish I didn't have to work on saturday.

Oh man Fire/Poison will be all kinds of sick. I'm also debating on making an Elec/Poison because end drained, held and debuffed spawns sounds all kinds of hilarious.

The Demolitionists may do some serious damage to him...
All GM's have mag100 protection to all types of mez so yeah sadly it doesn't have any effect.

I don't think that confusing scrapyarders would help at all unless you were in the low 20's. I don't think GM's scale with NPC's but I could be wrong. If he does you still have a problem with all the demolitionists killing everyone.
  9. If you want to you could just place a cheap Unbounded Leap +stealth proc into sprint and just run it and Artic Fog and pick up something else instead of Superior/Group Invis.

Also like Microcosm said no amount of +stealth in the game can protect you from a rikti drone's sight BUT you can zip by them quick enough before all the other rikti get a chance to attack you. I've stealthed plenty of lady grey's by just using fly/ninja run, sprint(with proc) and artic fog with no problems.

Silverado is a beast. I'd love to have as many AV/GM solo'ers as he does. He inspired me enough to make something that can do the same but alot different from the norm.

I forgot to say it in my last post but pics of me solo'ing Lusca is in my sig.
  11. It'd be nice if there was a group fly temp power. If there was I'd be all over it. Group fly would make the mitos in the lady grey die faster too.
  12. Eesh group fly. Even with the changes I don't think I could justify dropping something to fit in that terrible power.
  13. One Acc and an Achilles' Heel proc is good enough for infrigidate. I personally never take Frostworks so I can't comment on that.

I've taken down Lusca with my Elec/Cold but I didn't record it because it took me so dang long. I might need to try it again and see if I can get a better time.

Thanks alot. It is quite fun but also expensive. This build took alot of fine tuning and multiple respecs to get it just right.

Perhaps a Tin Mage or a Apex?
  17. Ok since I'm back from an unwanted vacation what do you guys think I should try next? I'm debating on finishing off all the GM's I haven't taken down yet but not sure if I could down the Flyer. Also that dang Kraken, everytime I've tried to find him he was nowhere to be found.
  18. Sorry guys for not posting, RL has been very hectic and I haven't had a chance to play in a month. Thanks for the submissions Jophiel and Silas. I wish we either had more costume pieces or better customization of pieces we already have. I know females have more selections to work with but for some reason I've always had a problem playing female characters in MMO's. I have a total of one that is level pacted duo with a friend so maybe I could overcome my uneasiness when I play one. Funny thing is that its been around 5 years since I've started and I just recently made her.

Anywho I like Silas' second submission from his blend of his and Jophiel's creations. Congradulations Silas and the check should be in the mail sometime today. Jophiel what is your global name? I would like to send you a gift for helping me out.

The only thing I wish I could change about the magic bolero is an option to get rid of that excessive high collar. The only thing I will change on Silas' costume is the boots. The sleek ones look much better IMO.
  19. Ok guys I usually don't have a problem making costumes for concepts or themes but this time I'm stumped and need some help. So I figured I'd make this into a contest if anyone is interested. I want to make a character in homage of a manga character Koinzell from Ubel Blatt but I can't come up with anything. Here is a reference pic...

I am planning on making him a BS/Invuln Scrapper since I feel that it closely resembles his abilities. Anyone who can design it to my liking I will reward them with 100mil and perhaps a random purple I have stockpiled in my base.

When I get my Electric dom to 50 I think you convinced me to go the same route.
  21. Ok this is from a week or two ago but I decided I'd try two GM's at once...

    Jack and Eochai

No temps, no Inspi's this time since I focused on Jack first and my debuffs kept Eochai running in and out of range firing stuff at me and the occasional footstomp. It took a total of 19min to down the both of them.

Electric Control is a low damage set. It is reasonable to plan to be an AoE controller and let teammates do all the damage. If you don't plan to solo, then Electric Fence is the most skippable power in the set. If you want to solo, then it is important to have . . . but you will still solo very slowly.
I noticed what you said but the question is why would you skip it on a controller unless you never plan to solo. It is a good ST dmg power, not to mention the second strongest offensive dmg power in Elec/, that even sets up containment. The only way that Chain Fence isn't worth it is if things are dieing to fast for all the DoT ticks to count.

One thing people keep misunderstanding is that Electric Control is NOT a low damaging set. As far as the ST immobilize, ST hold and AoE immobilizes go it is on par with several sets. Here is unslotted data of both trollers and doms of each sets offensive powers not including pets. Not to mention each set barring Fire/ has almost identical cast/rech times. Keep in mind that I excluded pets/pseudo pets for a reason just to show the difference between the similar powers.

Granted, it is the only power in the set with -knockback, but for the most part, I find single target Immobs to be skippable unless needed for damage.
I'd personally never skip Electric Fence on a Controller but I would on a Dominator. Doms secondary dishes out the dmg so using it is probably a waste of end. Now on a troller I personally spam the crap out of it on hard targets and start off my attack chain with it.

Chain Fences allows you to Immobilize a new group coming in after you have just used your other control powers, keeping the new group from overrunning you and your team. Chain Fences lets you keep a group in place while you have time to duck around a corner and catch your breath/heal/recharge/pop an Insp/prepare a temp power, etc.

There is definitely some usefullness in a fast-recharging AoE Immob even before you can proc it up.
There are uses for it. I have only been suggesting powers that he could skip if he was really tight for power picks. I'd skip Paralyzing Blast before Id skip Chain Fences. I'd be hesitant to spam it though since it has a base end cost of what 15.8(not entirely sure on that exact number atm). Using it in conjuction with Static Field and Conductive Aura will shorten the time it takes to end drain whole spawns. End drained spawns are just as good as held ones since they can't do anything but stand there and stare at you.

Regardless of you setting up containment or not most still do low dmg but I would use the power anyway to hasten the end drain. I like to lean on the Gremlins to aid with the heavy lifting after I get everything drained. They help alot solo.

I personally differ from other posters and would not skip Chain Fences though. That is your source of AoE Containment. You can sort of use Static Field for Containment but that goes away at the first hint of Damage Over Time. Even if you don't end up with any DoT powers, your enemies might and because they will be confused, they will use it on each other and cost you that extra damage.

Further, Fences can be slotted with a knockdown proc and a chance to hold proc. The power can then be spammed to maximize these. And even without the procs, Fences is your only reliable source of AoE -Recovery debuff, with a 40% chance per cast.

For Thermal, IMO the most skippable power is Power of the Phoenix. PotP is one of the most endurance-expensive powers in the game: half your endurance bar. At base it also takes nearly a full 2 minutes longer to recharge than rezz powers in other sets.
Even with Chain Fences setting up containment it's not like Elec/Therm/Psi has any AoE's that deal alot of dmg to make use of containment. Slotting it with the procs would be good but it costs alot of end to spam.
