  1. 17) The enemy appears weak at first, but after defeat reveals himself/herself to be more powerful than you could ever have imagined. Usually their reappearence is accompanied by either a powerful burst of energy, or quite possibly some other form of awe-inspiring act. Your usual "weak at first, then decides to play hard ball" enemy.
  2. Bots/Traps *can* do well in PvP. If you take Aid Self your survivability will sky rocket. While bots are mainly AoE they can still pack quite the punch. Fortunately your own pets do not suffer from DR.

Triage will *not* be enough alone, and I highly suggest picking up everything except for Detonator. Seeker Drones can really pack a wallop of a damage debuff, especially when they stack with Pro Bot seeker drones. You won't be as powerful as some other builds, but you will be a force to be reckoned with.
  3. Taking Hasten with traps is a double-edged sword. You can crazily debuff the hell out of enemies (especially if you slot most of your traps powers for recharge), but at the same time your endurance bar hurts.

On the plus side take Challenge over Provoke for AV soloing. Challenge lasts longer and has a much better initial Acc.

(Oh, and MMs are nerfed hard when it comes to defense in PvP. Your 46+ defense will be reduced to 18-20% defense)
  4. I demand monster heads that allow you to select hats.
  5. Sure thing, Roman. If your Pro Bots are ever hurting for Acc (and with acid mortar up along with Supremacy that should never happen) just pick up Tactics.
  6. Yes, you should. Your bots alone will be close to the soft cap. Pick up the Pet Damage Unique Def IO and slot it over an Acc slot in the Drones and your pets will be soft cap.

If you pick up the Black Scoprion Shield you will easily soft cap yourself. No worries from basically anything except Psionics.

    Best PvP Brute?

I would agree with the above. Brutes are not tanks. I see so many people who think Brutes should tank and in some situations they can but what they are best at is Endless Fury based destruction and mayhem.

Each Melee AT has slight differences while similar in a lot of ways. Scrappers play differently too, yes you can play them like Brutes but they do not have the ugency of Fury.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not to side track this thread any further but what AT redside do you think is best to soak the damage for the team? I dont see any other ATs with Taunt implemented into their build.

Tell me that Masterminds and VEATs are better suited for the job.

Trance is undisputably right. Brutes are a single target, but MMs on the other hand depend on pets, and since most of the bodyguard protection comes from the Tier 1 pets you're out of luck if the enemy has AoEs. Brutes are solid, primary targets with enough of a secondary (usually) to back them up.

I'd still advise Brutes tank over MMs.
  8. That's what I "somewhat" did. You see MM pets don't exactly need a lot of Acc. Just drop another defense or damage over that extra accuracy (defense for near soft cap).

    Ninjas

Good thing about the special debuff is that it's spammable.

And yes, Poison alone is enough to bring Reichsman to his knees (quite literally).
  10. Ms. Liberty has an initial 50% resistance to lethal if I remember correctly.

So long as you keep Acid Mortar up enough you should be good (and if you have an Achillies Heel dropped into either your mortar or enforcers you're golden).
  11. Just 1 usually does the trick. 2 takes it to about 11+ defense per bubble. Up to you, but remember to slot for endurance reduction as well.
  12. ???

You still have problems with the AE?

Ooooh, you play on Freedom. Go to a different server and the issue is solved.

So does this mean my level 22 Thugs/Traps is gonna suck more then my 43 Mercs/Traps does?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's gonna be way better. Stick with it.
  14. Yes, it does animate incorrectly. Oh, and Solun, Pulse Rifle attacks do decent damage in PvP Environments. Enough so I'd "suggest" taking thm at the higher levels if possible (gonna PM you that Robots/Poison guide in a little bit. It's stranger format than mids, but I don't really use that rpogram honestly).
  15. Can't be that hard to think of a name.

I seem to slide past with several of mine every time.

    Mercs/???

You can't go Wrong with Mercs/Storm or Mercs/Pain.

Storm offers more debuffs can aggro management along with mob management than the other sets with Dark aside. Unfortunately expect your pets to be expendable for the most part, and be prepared for a massive amount of endurance reduction slotting.

Dark offers powerful debuffs from Tar Patch to the extremely handy Fearsome Stare. Supplying the set with plenty of heals and ToHit debuffs that will have entire mobs whiffing away aimlessly. Perfect for a Mercs MM because the pets enjoy staying in range with the MM.

Trick Arrow is unusually fitting with Mercs. I'll let MadamEnigma explain it to you. Not a very good TA expert, although I have tried and managed the set before.

Mercs/Pain, the powerful tanking build. Aside from heals and buffs you won't do much damage against more powerful foes with higher resistances, but against normal enemies prepare to slaughter them with very high damage buffs for your pets (especially if you take assault). I can't even begin to explain what a Commando with Serum and Painbringer can take. He becomes a walking AV for a minute.
  19. When you get about level 40 you'll be a wrecking machine. Especially if you cash in on Pet Resistance Bonus IOs. Zombies/Pain is a very powerful combo, especially if you can control the Lich correctly. Stick with it and the build will shine.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
Oh, so I "was" in the right range. Where did you get 15% from?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Prot Bots double buffing. Misread I guess.
  21. Pet Bonuses are affecting Psionic Resistance and Psionic Defense.

I'm saying that, to lighten the burden, they could allow limited pet customization by allowing only a couple of faces and outfit choices ... maybe add gender and skin color as well ... with existing customizations. Color customization would be a start, but otherwise I'd say make a few more possibilities.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Gender customization for pets will not be an option if this goes through.
