Just as a counterpoint I am running Windows XP (32-bit) with 4 GB of RAM installed, and I do not experience these crashes.
-
Is Diamagnetic worth it at all, or should I just jump on the reactive bandwagon?
-
Got to take the build for a spin this weekend and a Lambda tonight. I really like it. Soloing, a +2 boss made me use Dull Pain. Once. Need to up difficulty.
On the Lambda, came close to dying a few times but noticed in enough time to click Dull Pain or Reconstruction. I can't imagine what this build will be like once I get the 4th LotG slotted and Spiritual crafted.
-
I respeced to the above build last night sans one LotG +7.5 that I still need the merits for. Didn't get much of a chance to try it out, but it seems pretty good so far.
-
Ok, after looking at and playing with builds for a bit I think this it what my final build will be:

Quote:Sweet monkey!!Title says it all. As of today, City of Data is updated to 2010.201105250125.1.0.
We at the Titan Network apologize for letting it lapse. Not enough hands, not enough time, and nobody had taken the time to really grok City of Data's importing schema after Tomax left. Not anymore, though!
Thanks to all who put in the time to update all that info. -
The CoH Helper log you linked to is missing some info. Looks like it got cut off some how. Is City of Heroes installed on your D: drive? If so, that's definitely a problem since you are seriously low on space there (2% free).

Flashing Steel - I remember that. Your comments in that thread are what inspired me to consider dropping it which I am am strongly leaning towards at this point
A-Merits: That's how I got the 4 aspect Obliteration.Turned out one of my characters was sitting on 3 A-Merits. Even more conveniently he is also at 9 of 10 tip mission to get to a Morality Mission. I smell another LotG in the near future.
Build: That a pretty solid build. I'll have to play with that when I get home. -
Ah, sorry, forgot to put in goals.
Goals: Low-ish budget, using some of what I already have if possible (only sets I have to buy are Basilisk, Doctored Wounds, Obliteration). 55% global recharge (I thought that was good). 20%-ish Ranged Defense. Not going for soft cap Defenses.
SotW: Huh...not sure how that ended up in the build. I currently have Gambler's Cut and wasn't planning on dropping it.
Spiritual: Yah, that was a mis-click. Definitely want to go partial core.
Tactics: Dropped it from my current build to fit Hasten & the Fighting pool. Not sure I really want to get rid of it, though my build does have 30% accuracy. Missing still sucks.
Recharge slotting: Yeah, I probably don't need BU, MoG, Shmeld 3 slotted for recharge since they do add very little additional recharge. Habit I guess.
KD procs: I came to like them while leveling the character.
Other procs: What I currently have. Could definitely drop them. Think I got the ToD proc to have some non-S/L damage in my attacks (current build is rather old)
Divine Avalanche: I just based it off how I currently have it slotted. LotG that is currently in there got moved to Weave. Don't have another LotG to put in there currently.
Dark Blast: 6 slotted for Range Defense from Thunderstrike.
Eradication: Wow...how'd I miss that set? O.o
Tough: Mainly there to get Weave. If I drop some recharge slots and/or Flashing Steel I could definitely slot Tough & Resilience some.
Weave/Maneuvers: Get me to 20% defense as is. The base % is low enough that it didn't seem worth to slot them to squeeze a little extra out from them.
Performance Shifter: That'd be nice.End is great now, though with 2 extra toggle it might be an issue.
After getting a bit more play time in with the character I'm considering dropping Flashing Steel. I don't use it all that often and with all the extra recharge I have I may not need it to fill any attack chain gaps. That'd be more slots I'd have to play with as well as a power slot I could use to get Tactics back or a Travel Power. Currently I have SJ but was going to go with Ninja Run as my "Travel Power". -
I'm finally dusting off my first 50 and want to rebuild him so he's a bit more survivable before I hit the iTrial circuit. After reading all the topics I could find, the below is what I've come up with. Want to make sure that I haven't bollixed anything up. Thanks for your comments.

More RAM will usually fix slow loading times. Do you know how much you have right now?
-
Groovy. I guess if I really want to know, I check the recharge on powers before and after slotting Spiritual.
-
I've always been a little fuzzy on Global Recharge. How much of the Spirtutal Total Core Revamp applies to the globe recharge goal of 55%? The 15% that ignores ED?
-
I'm curious as to what the Polar Lights do. They may fit with my Ice/Ice (baby :P) blaster more than the other Lore pets.
-
Wasn't Dark Control a set that was in the CoH closed beta?
-
Ah, that makes sense!
-
Is the Widow that good from Soul Mastery to fully slot it?
-
Thanks for this thread! My 1st 50 was a Kat/Regen, but he's been idle since before the Incarnate slots came out. I don't know if I can afford these builds, but this has definitely given me some direction for what I want to do with him.

Psylenz, just to be sure, when you go under File>Settings in the NCSoft Launch you do NOT have the following option:
-
Whether or not this is feasible, it would be great if they could do a CoH 2.0 instead of a CoH 2 wherein the game has the same feel, plays the same, we don't have to learn how everything works again, etc., but all the systems (fx, powers, etc.) go revamped and upgraded so that they would be more flexible then they are now.

Has anyone checked their Event Viewer to see if anything is getting reported there when CoH crashes?
