When I picture the beast jump as it should be in my mind, I see it as more of a pounce, with the rear legs stretched out backwards, and the arms/front legs stretched out forward, almost in a diving tackle motion.
-
This. Jumping while using beatrun looks a little ridiculous, the run itself looks good, but the jump isn't very beastly at all. Personally, I got lucky enough to win one of these codes from Massively. If I hadn't, I would have bought it anyway, but I would have ended up disappointed that I'd spent $10 on it.

Other than the Efficieny Expert, there are no badges that you can get at level 1 or along the way, that you can't get at 50, though there are some that you can't get depending on your chosen alignment (Primal v Praetorian).
However, there are several badges, such as the anniversary badges, that you cannot get if you missed the window of opportunity. That doesn't seem to be what you're asking though, so I won't waste space listing them all specifically. -
Quote:Well, I'm glad that I got that one on the first shot, then!
The villain badge Efficiency Expert cannot be obtained via Ouroboros. Each character only gets one shot at that one. -

Without going into all the different IO Sets you could go with, here's a quick and easy substitution for fitness. Pretty much just added the fighting pool, which bumps up your def and resist a decent bit. Had to bump your physical perfection up to lvl 49 for enhancement purposes.

I agree with that....I don't think it's cool to drop someone just because someone you know shows up. When I'm forming, I ask the friends I see on first, and if they show up after the spots are too full, well that's just too bad.
-
Quote:I can definitely see that....if I had multiple toons with so many badges, it would be a shame to let them fall by the wayside.Originally, I was going to keep a Hero on Heroside, and a Villain on Villainside, and only switch sides with my main toon... but then I decided I wanted to switch with the others as well, so now I have 3 badge characters.
Because they are already almost capped, it makes me want to keep getting new ones on all 3, but I can't see myself adding another one to the list any time soon, especially with all the regular work that I still need to do on some other toons. lol -
Quote:The way I see it, once Praetoria is upgraded to have zones that reach lvl 50, and they get Oro added, most if not all of the Prae badges will end up available to anyone. I know this might take a while, but it will probably happen in less time than it would take for me to get one of my lowbie Praetorians all of the badges that are available to him.Did you actually read what I said? Any Primal badger has access to all badges EXCEPT the five or so that only Praetorians can get. Likewise there are around 6 anniversary badges that Praetorians can never get. Therefore the only way a player can currently have ALL the badges in the game is to have at least one Primal badger and one Praetorian badger. What part of that was hard to understand?
And this may not have been officially announced, but I can't really see this not happening eventually. -
-
I'm with most others in here. If I ever over-invite (think I may have done that a couple of times), I very nicely tell them that it filled. What I always do is go off of tells....if someone says in the global that they're interested, I send them a tell, asking for them to send me one when they're ready for invite. That way, I go off of however many are currently on the team, then scan my chat log for the yellow writing, counting anyone that hasn't yet joined. And the click>global name or click>server name comes in very handy.
-
I'm a one-toon badger myself, but that also has a lot to do with the limited amount of time that I have to play in the first place. I just barely have enough time to run the WST on 3 or 4 characters, as well as work on the WST complete badges on my badger. It'll probably take me months.

Quote:I got a very similar if not the same exact graphics card mid last year, and have been running it on my old Acer 21" LCD (I think...). It works fine, but I'd really like to upgrade myself.I just got this graphics card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150447) and want to figure out what I need in a monitor to show most of what it can put out. Not in a super hurry to find one due to stupid UPS losing my case so I am now waiting for replacement to ship to me(will not come till the 1st-5th if the estimate process time is correct) or lost one to magically appear.(oh and ordered on the 4th so just a tiny massive bit annoyed)
monitor I have off old desktop is an HP vs15. what percent of my graphic card's capabilities could this display?

Email them to yourself, so that you can grab a couple out of the market and put them in at lower prices.

Quote:I thought the devs had changed that....I guess I was wrong. That's lame.Do you have any sets with +healing bonuses (such as Doctored Wounds)? If so it might be that Mids is applying them to Healing Flames but they aren't applying in game (Healing Flames takes Resistance enhancements so it should not benefit from improved healing set bonuses).
-
And then there was Highlander the Barbarian.

Quote:I just haven't gotten around to it yet, I'll make a point of that. You didn't include the accolades in your power choices. If you didn't get them, be sure and do so. Atlas Medallion and Portal Jockey have a very significant impact on your endurance management.
Quote:Oppressive Gloom + Cloak of Fear is rather redundant. The two don't stack so really don't need both. Consider dropping one and perhaps replace it with Hasten or possibly Energy Torrent.
Quote:Unless you're planning to Hover during most fights, I think your KB protection is a tad low. -8 KB will cover the majority of scenarios, but you'll still get KBd occasionally. -12 KB would be ideal on a final build, IMHO. You can rely on Hover + -8 KB, but if that's your intent you should beef up the the flight speed on hover. (I do this on two of my Dark Armor scrappers, including my main). -
Alright, here's what I think I might stick with. I decided to try a build without Soul Transfer, since I'm building this guy to not die, and I'm focusing more on s/l with e/ne more of an afterthought. And I'll be running Cardiac to hopefully counteract any endurance issues.

Quote:OK, cool. Thanks!Read up on Enhancement Diversification and the Alpha Slot.
If Hasten only has one IO in it, the 15% that is affected by ED won't get you to the point of diminishing returns. It is applied and calculated before other bonuses. 15% + 42.4% = 57.4%
See the ED link for calculating manually if you do reach ED diminishing returns. Alternatively, the latest version of Mids' shows correct values and allows you to select different Alpha enhancements. -
Does anyone know how I can figure out how much the 15% from Spiritual that doesn't ignore ED would give to hasten, if I have it 1-slotted with rech? I got a build together with 125 rech, so that plus hasten's 70, plus the 42.4 from the 1 IO, plus the 30% non-effected by ED from Spiritual, gives me 267.4%, so that puts me at 7.6% away from perma hasten, depending on how much that last 15% gives me.

Quote:Duly noted....when I get home later, I'll look into that on Mids, and I'll start posting with the data chunk.Bohmfalk, try to include the data chunk when posting builds. The link doesn't always work well for everyone.
Your Dark Regeneration slotting is of concern. You didn't slot for any accuracy. Dark Regeneration must pass a to hit check on a target in order to grant you a heal. You want the most accuracy, recharge, and endurance reduction you can get out of the power. Healing is secondary concern. Personally, I prefer to slot DR with 3 Theft of the Essence (acc/end/rchg, acc/end/hea, 20%+end), Touch of the Nictus (Acc/end/rch) and round out the last two slots with Heal/End/rech from any heal set.
Additionally, Ripper is an important part of your ST attack chain. It is also a cone and adds nice AoE damage when in the center of a large spawn. Worth slotting for full damage, IMHO. I'd say lose the slots in Brawl and invest them in Ripper.
Otherwise, the build looks fairly solid to me.
Thanks all for the advice you've given, this toon looks like it will be pretty powerful.
