    DM/SD build help

    Yeah, Santorican, I was thinking of one you built based on someone else's build.

    I guess I don't want to put a limit on it. I'll use all my income blueside to build the toon. I don't have a lot of free Inf currently there, but this will be a nice goal that will get me playing my 50's more often.

    This has slowly become my favorite toon. It can do just about anything, with high survivability and great damage. Preaching to the choir, I'm sure.

    Time to take a look at cleaning up the build and making this toon a little more of a project after 150+ hours of play at level 50. I reviewed a few really nice builds in Santorican's thread and liked a couple of them, but none of them had a travel power.

    Sky is the limit on the build, though I'd like to make use of what I have where possible to keep from repurchasing.

    Intentions for the build are:

    Def capped to melee/AoE/ranged
    High +Rech
    Manageable Recovery
    Travel power- either SS or SJ would be acceptable.

  16. I can't get my computer to run CoH. Logged in this AM without any issue to check the market and chat a bit. When I logged back on later in the day, I ran 80% of a mission with no problem, then crashed. My screen froze and the sound looped. Eventually it crashed to the desktop.

    Ever since then, I can load CoH without trouble, but the moment I zone in, the game shows about 5-10 seconds of a garbled picture (lots of digital artifacts and tiling on the screen) then freezes. At that point I can't exit the game (ctdlaltdel doesn't work, and the Windows button won't pull up the desktop). Eventually the computer crashes, powering down into a restart. A couple times now I've seen a 'blue screen of death' flash up there at the point the comp crashes, but it isn't there every time and only shows for perhaps 1sec.

    I've attached a few pics of the screen; not sure they are helpful.

    Here is my system info; if anything important is missing that might help solve the issue let me know!

    The computer works perfectly fine for other programs- I can run video websites like youtube and hulu and watch high def video.

    So far for troubleshooting I've uninstalled/reinstalled both my video and sound drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled CoH, and installed the SM Bus Controller/motherboard drivers. The game does the same thing in safe mode or normal.

    Specs:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66Ghz
    NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI SPP
    4GB DDR2 RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
    Windows XP
