    Fire/ Help

It's been a while since I played my dom at low levels, so take this with a grain of salt. I'd go for something like this to get to level 22.

    1) Char (Acc/Rech/Hold)
    1) Flares (Acc/End/Rech/Dam/Dam/Dam)
    2) Incinerate (Acc placeholder)
    4) Fire Breath (Acc/Dam/Dam/Dam)
    6) Swift
    8) Hasten (Rech/Rech/Rech)
    10) Fire Blast (Acc/End/Rech/Dam/Dam/Dam)
    12) Flashfire (Acc/Rech/Rech/Stun)
    14) Fire Cages (Acc/End)
    16) Health
    18) Fiery Embrace (Rech)
    20) Stamina (EndMod)
    22) Hot Feet (EndRed)

Like others have said, Hot Feet is much better put off until you have some solid controls to allow you to stand in melee and post-Stamina. You can make it work before Stamina/SO's with really careful slotting and restraining yourself on attacks, but I don't see the point.

Your early build should concentrate on getting a basic attack chain in place. Char, Flares, and Fire Blast will do for now. I have Incinerate in there, but I wouldn't go nuts slotting it until way later. Getting Char down to 5-6 sec rech helps a lot vs. tough bosses. You also want to grab Hasten early to help you with your big End Recovery in Domination, as well as your prerequisites for Stamina. I'd put off travel powers for now by using jetpacks.

As mentioned above, Flashfire and Fire Cages is your ultimate 1-2 punch for control. The long Rech on Flashfire means you won't have access to it too often early on, but it's really the best way to start just about any fight. Once you have Stamina and Hot Feet in place, even better! Stand in the middle of a big group of stunned and immobilized targets that you just hit with Fiery Embrace>Fire Breath and sit there laughing while they all melt.

My Fire/Fire dom is a lot of fun. Definitely took a while to get going, but it's worth the wait!
  2. I'll be on the beach. Supposed to be pretty hot here, so I might very well rather be inside playing CoH. Have fun all!

What is this concept? I'm not sure I understand. Is this why my Fire/Rad troller has so many deaths?!
  4. Those times are incredible. Awesome stuff. 36 min with some towers intact?!

Kat has kicked me from more teams than I can count. It's true.
  8. Good points, guys.

I do like Superior Invisibility despite the Endurance costs, so I'll keep that in there.

A jetpack is a pretty viable travel power in my mind, so I'm happy to push out Fly 'till the latest levels.

I'll consider moving that Acc out of Lingering Radiation and moving in another Recharge. Your reasoning makes sense, Top, and I can easily swap them in and out without respecing if I decide to add Acc again.

I'll admit that I haven't run into a situation yet where I didn't have Mutation up when I needed it, so an EndRed might be a good choice there, too.

Hmmm... Accuracy in Flash. I haven't noticed I'm missing stuff, but to be fair I'm mostly using Flash and EMP as a one-two punch in a rough situation where the team really needs some breathing room. Most likely the targets I'm missing are getting hit by EMP soon after. But I'll swap an Acc in there and see how it affects things.

Thanks very much! I'm loving this toon. I was really 'meh' about it until I IO'd the build, but now that I've made the investment I'm really enjoying how it plays solo and teamed. I can make some really useful contributions to just about any situation!

    Cho's sig is fun hehe!

Q has the best interests of the players in mind when he looks to make these decisions.
  10. I finished up my final build for Obscura Directive, who hit level 50 over 2xp weekend!

The only slots I need to buy at this point are two more Enzymes, but at 30m+ each and little availability, I'm not in a rush. I have couple SO's in there for now to make up the gap.

I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'm maybe 5 seconds off perma-PA/AM/Hasten-close enough that my own shortcomings in hitting AM and Hasten are worse than the downtime. I run at +178.75 Recharge 95% of the time.

Problems with the build? Well, Endurance is always an issue in the back of my mind. Even at 3.92/sec Recovery, I can chew through my blue bar very quickly if I spam attacks and keep my toggles up. I'll look at adding a Miracle or Numinas to the build if I get one as a drop, but otherwise I'll just be cautious to keep a blue or two in pocket. Same for an LotG +7.5, which would tighten up the gaps in PA/Hasten/AM.

I also could complain about having too many great powers! This is a big time swiss army knife toon, with a half dozen ways of going about a fight.

As far as IO levels and choices, I bought the majority of this right after 2xp weekend, so prices were wonky. Salvage prices ranged wildly from one purchase to the next, running from 100 to 200,000 within 15 minutes. I tried to use Tickets to get the rares when I had some, but I think I was only able to get 4 or 5 (saving approx 5m).

I did have the two sets of Decimation and the Glimpse of the Abyss to start, as well as some generic level 30-40 IOs.

I was pretty pleased to spend under 190m to get to +78.78% Recharge. With some reasonable patience (of which I have none), I'm fairly confident you could get a similar build for under 150m. I was definitely in a 'buy it now' mode on this one.

    Thanks again for the guide!
