Thanks SO very much for the invite for the EU community... unfortunately I don't think any EU player will be able to join as:
1. We can't access the Beta server due to some strange error (well, unless we change our location to NA which subjects us to a different TOS)
2. We can't copy any toons to the Beta server
Wish the Devs had thought this one a bit better...
And the shafting continues. -

Quote:Be careful with that... I pointed that out a long time ago in another debate over a Hero MM archetype and got my head chewed off like what I said was down right treasonous and unAMERICAN.
Heroic MM concept. Defense primary, Pet/melee secondary.
You're the tank.
Pets are your Support/Damage.
YOU take the heat and they help you. You don't send them in while you stay safe, YOU charge bravely into battle and they follow at a safe distance. "Unheroic" problem solved.Quote:To be fair, no matter what side of the submarine you fall on, you're putting yourself right out there with your henchmen. We don't have any "true" comic-style masterminds playable in this game, mostly because the way it's set up, they wouldn't be very fun to play.
I don't know about you, but what Oathbound suggests actually sounds fun and fits more into the heroic definition. It would just have to be carefully implemented to avoid Tankmages.
As for the submarine, I don't get the reference? In my opinion, we don't get heroic MM in the game because , well, I can't think of any in the comic book universe. -
Heroic Masterminds: because nothing screams heroism like sending lower level people to do the work for you and more than likely die in the process!

Might I add that is one ugly badge? And now it will sit atop my most recent badges badge list for a long, long time...
Congratulations to all who got it yesterday (the server was very, very busy)! -
What does it all mean Basil?

Quote:This is a rip off. Better than it used to be, but still a rip off.
Notice of the Well (tier 3 component) effectively downgrades to 2 common components.
Favor of the Well (tier 4 component) loses 12 shards in the process and downgrades to either 5 common components or 2 common components + 1 uncommon component.Quote:Yes, it disagrees with the change in an abrupt manner. However the post doesn't make any personal attacks, and is presented in a factual manner. If you can prove that 40 threads do not make 2 common components, 100 threads do not make 5 common components, or that 100 threads do not make 2 common components + 1 uncommon component, I'll be happy to modify my post.
I guess I could have re-suggested that a tier 3 alpha component should convert to a tier 3 thread component (if a player adds some additional threads), but I expect that would fall on deaf ears. If they insist that a Notice is only worth 40 threads, then the conversion should be 1 Notice to at least 2 Empyrean Merits.
The tier 4 component conversion is a blatant rip off that charges players 12 shards (completely lost in the conversion). If they insist that a Favor is worth 100 threads, then they should convert to at least 5-6 Empyrean Merits (if not 8) -
Great... let us hope that by the 31st we will be able to copy our EU toons to the Beta server.

Quote:Yes, they broke the game.
I have cancelled my account after 7 years due to the whole incarnate mess. I see they deleted the earlier thread on why folks are finding it harder and harder to log on.
Once you are this powerful and the game is completely trivial with no challenge - its is time to go.
I believe the Devs killed the game. I have spoken to a lot of veterans of the game lately and we are all of like idea - time to go. This Incarnate stuff was badly conceived and implemented IMHO.
OMG, if only there was a way of removing the Incarnate powers so older game content wasn't so easy to run with new powers designed to make you more powerful!
OMG, if only those Incarnate powers weren't permanently hardwired on my build!
Oh, wait... -
Hi Madam Z,
Yes, what I did was I let it create the folder it wanted to create and start the instalation process. Before it could complete it I exited the launcher and copied the content of the CoH Folder into the one the launcher created for test.
I then relaunched the Launcher and instead of downloading it just did a file verification and was working afterwards. -
Quote:Personally and looking at the time gates and ratios I'd like to see one Notice be converted into 8 Empyrean Merits. Reasons being:Suggested by @SP on Union.
Simply put, allow a 1:1 conversion from a Notice of the Well to an Empyrean Merit. No strings attached, no stupid and prohibitive inf costs that make no sense.
Just let the WST reward be converted into something useful past Alpha slot.
Simple.
- you get one Notice per week. In that same amount of time you can potentially get 14 Empyrean Merits.
- one Notice converts to (or is used to buy) one Rare component. You need 8 Empyreans to buy a Rare component.
At the same time, I'd also like to see one Favor being converted to 30 Empyrean Merits. Reasons being:
- you get one Favor per two weeks. In that same amount of time you can potentially get 28 Empyrean Merits.
- one Favor converts to (or is used to buy) one Very Rare component. You need 30 Empyreans to buy a Very Rare component.
Yes, yes... when pigs fly I hear you say. I'd still like to see it though. -
Not that I'm for or against the suggestion but why exactly are you hoarding the tickets and not just converting them into recipes or whatever?
-
Zones I don't see happening ('cause it's a lotta work y'all) but the Devs have said there's more Incarnate Trials in the making (ex Praetor Keyes island and the Underground one) as well as missions and TF specific to Incarnates (and probably set in Praetoria.)
So you just have to be pacient. -
Found it and have both the US and EU ones running:

Also, remember to add the "EU" before your account name when trying to access the test servers. -
Update: got access to both, just remembered to add an EU before my account name.
To set them up, I followed the instructions on the sticky at the top of this forum section.

This will be a day one buy.
S'all I'm saying. -
On the other hand, makes sense for male toons to have long tube socks on their wardrobe... just saying.
-
I can't even access the EU test server at the moment as I don't know how to set it up with the new launcher.
-
I had to have my computer formatted so I had to reinstall everything. With the new launcher I don't know how to set up Test Server access. Also, with the server merge, from what I read on the EU Test Server section, it appears there is no more EU Test Server.
So, can anyone tell me how to set up test server access with the new launcher and to which server I should be connecting?
Thanks in advance. -
OK I just had to format my computer and I'm an EU player. How exactly do I set up the launcher to get it to connect to the Test Server? And to which Test Server am I connecting to?
