I have to say, I am not the biggest fan of rendered stuff, but this may turn me. Very cool, gritty piece. I like everything about it.
-
for Dark Ether. I guess it's a WIP now. I didn't expect to like how it would turn out as much as I do.
More surprises to follow. Slowly. -
Very sexy. I like your characters Soul_Train.
-
Awesome work Crestent! Can we look forward to more?
-
Did this really fast. Surprised myself with my speed, and I like the style that came out.

To take the limitations to the next level...
Build your character before you introduce them. Give them a strength. It can be powerful, as long as you give them an equally or more powerful weakness. Characters that struggle are more interesting than characters that don't.
Read the thread you want to get into. Read as far back as you are willing to understand what you are getting in to. The people will appreciate it.
Do not say you hit the person you attack unless it's your character as well. It's slower on action, but it is the only polite way to write. Also, don't dodge all the attacks against you. It's annoying to other people.
Show range of emotion. Don't have your characters always mad or sad or happy. It gets annoying no matter what emotion it is.
Use spell check. Make sure your grammar and spelling are good. Errors distract from your story.
I almost always write one huge goal for each character. It is what drives their story forward. Once they reach it, if they reach it, their story is over. Stop writing them. That's my opinion on that. -
Awesome! I've been wondering about this recently. Refresh my memory (if you mentioned it), will it be posted through your DA page?
-
That would annoy me. I get so excited when I see the flashing envelope.
-
When I saw one of my favorite DA artists practically giving out his sketches I had to jump on it. I will have to upgrade the commission to color if he offers.
The Fenris Project by lastscionz -
Unfortunately I have another wedding to attend. My mom's.
-
I like that you can't see his eyes, but go for it Baquitania. I'd be interested to see the difference.
And I actually made it blurry on purpose. I can't remember why now. I did it a while back and didn't like it a whole lot. Still don't know if I do. -
I like her face. But then... I like Supergirl... a lot.
-
My character John Kimber done in the style of the Max Payne 2 cover. I like the style, but I don't know if I hit the mark. Comments welcome.
-
I have the same problem with my warwolf. Fortunately i have roar, howl, and I use crouch as well. Not a whole lot else for non speaker or animal types.

Very very nice. They both have a lovely icy feel. I really love your sketches!
And for the record, I got totally attached to my main villainess the second I made her for the CoV beta ^.^

Same thing happened as soon as I made the Fenris Project. -
I thought about sleeves, but decided they would distract and cover up the picture more than anything.
Thanks for the compliments guys! -
I've realized backgrounds are just as important as the characters in them. It is another character in a way. So I tried to do that in my latest piece...
Here is a piece done for my mastermind, the Handler. A Council commander inspiring fear and hate, then rallying the people to his cause.
Here is a close up of the speaker, because this was a massive canvas, and some details are hard to see.
Comments welcome. -
I don't think he actually wants Thor's Assassin on his shoulder per se. I think he likes the look of the cloaked/armored figure and the pose. No need to be creeped out.
I have two medium/big tattoos, and probably won't get anymore. They have to mean something for me to get them (one for my philosophy and one for my biggest life changing decision), but other people turn their bodies into canvases. Either option is fine. -

I forgot to add, when all else fails, remember the old riddle:
How do you eat an elephant?
[/ QUOTE ]
You unhinge your jaw and swallow that [censored] whole.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong. That's how the elephant eats you.
I just wait. It comes eventually. In a creative spike now, so ha ha ha! -
I like it. Your style is fun to look at and will go good with the comic. MOAR!
-
That Captain America is terrible. Can anybody tell me why he got famous? Was he the only one applying for the jobs for many years? Did he sell his soul?
Although, I am only seeing his worst examples. Where are his best pieces? -
You're on a good start. My suggestion is to start out with the basic shapes during the pencil phase. It looks like you are just jumping in and drawing right away and that is way harder than I would care to do.
Shorten your torsos. Trace a picture or two. That's it. No more than two (that's a personal policy). It becomes a crutch if you keep doing it and then you will really hate what you come up with on your own. But make sure they are of different angles. When you are getting frustrated with how your drawings are coming out and you want to quit, keep going. Every single time I have done that I have broken through a plateau and damn does it feel good.
That is the cheapest way. I recommend buying some art books if you want to speed up the process.
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain is a good one. I noticed huge improvements after three days.
Anatomy for the Artist. Random anatomy book, someone else can swear by their favorite.
This book breaks the human body into basic shapes. Again, it is a random one.
