Feeling like this mission teleporter power is going to be a good investment.

Way to man up to your mistake Positron. It takes a lot of courage to go out in front of a fanbase as rabid and opinionated as we can be, and admit in no uncertain terms that you feel you did them wrong.
My hat's off to you. -
So I bounced all over Paragon doing the set up for the Cape Mission. What a boring and pointless set of time wasters. Seriously. Not to be overly critical, but at least Positron's task force had stuff for us to do. Not this. Take the train, talk to some faceless mook. Take another train, talk to another mook, repeat until someone directs you somewhere with bad guys. Tedium ensues in the meanwhile.
And does it really need to be such a punk pain in the hemoroids to even zone Blue side? I mean honestly, I'm still memorizing Green Line, Yellow Line, Terror Level Orange and all of that. And while I'm reading the destinations to see if this train goes where I need to go, the damn thing pulls out! So now, I've picked my destination, but I am stuck waiting for the train to come back, so I can get the load screen and move forward. This, ladies and gentlemen, is my life. Waiting, so I can get to a load screen. It probably doesn't take as long as it feels like. Nothing could take as long as that feels like.
BUT, I will say this, since I'm rambling anyway. Bouncing over Independence Port I saw this huge friggin Octopus with all these tentacles slapping around over the dock! Then, on my way out, I almost Super Leaped right on top of the crazy thing! We have SO got to fight that. That is just really freaking cool.
Also, I checked out the base, since it was a less annoying way to get from A to B. That library set up is very impressive. Two blood soaked spectral thumbs up. -
Synapse is good. I need Merits for -KB IOs.

So noted. I'm not sure where to sprint invisibly to though, so I'll just follow patches.

you can have my Fitness pool when you pry it from my cold, dead, speed boosted fingers!

Well... if Positron's Task Force makes we want to kick a puppy, I can always run Ambassador Kuhr'rekt's arc and beat him up until I feel better.
To the best of my knowlege, there is no option to commit violence against Dr Quarterfield. -
Flattery will get you a friend for life sir!
Seriously though, I like your accent. I worry about mine, but yours seems perfectly personified. -
Sure, I'm in for Posi. What's the cap, 15, 16?
-
sorry for the assumption. I always assume my fellow players are male until they send me naked pix to prove otherwise.

Let's all just calm down. Mistakes were made, words were said, people got excited. There's no need to sling insults back and forth. It's too bad things didn't work out with Ghost, but these things happen. Lets not get too worked up over it. He misunderstood and reacted badly. Maybe it wasn't a good fit in the first place. Human interaction is laden with these sorts of pitfalls. That's a reason to stumble and make mistakes. But a protracted battle of words just makes us all look bad.
If it were up to me EG, I'd let your new character back in, if you could catch up in time to the content we want to do. But this is Text's baby, and I support her decisions 100%. So, sorry it didn't work out, but thanks for giving it your best. I'm sure you'll have other opportunities, and things will work out better for you down the road. Best of luck to you.
As for the rest of us, I think we'd be better served to back off from a hostile position. I don't think Ghost was looking for a fight, just an explanation of something he honestly did not understand. Lets give him the benefit of that doubt, and move forward gracefully, rather then descending into a pointless escalation of blame. Now that the explanation has been given, we should all be willing to move forward without any hard feelings on either side.
** spends Siolfir's merits on a roll and gets a Stupify proc. Vendors it. ** -
** pockets a few merits while you're passed out.

Well this is just off the top of my head, and I've only had about 30 seconds to think about it, but here's an example of how I would concept and Illusion/Kinetics Controller as a Warrior from a Lost Civilization.
"Lotus Cri hails from the lost culture of the (insert proper noun here). She was the last master of an order of monks known as the Unseen Hand. These warriors focus on intense meditation, in order to defeat their foes without lifting a finger. A Master of the Unseen Hand can move things with the power of her mind, or even manifest their psyche in the form of an army of psychically projected warriors. With these abilities, the (insert civilization name here) people were able to prosper in isolation, safely protected by the Order of the Unseen Hand."
So that's just an example. I'm sure there are others. Look, if you really want to roll something else, don't let me stop you. It's just that it seems to me that blue side there is a lot more level gated content, and we need you playing a character appropriate level for the content we choose to do.
The roleplaying, the background, these are tools, which we use to enhance our fun. Don't get too hung up on them, because they're just there to create an environment. They're not there to stress about. -
You guys had me at 55 merits. I'm in.
I mean, how bad can it be with a team of this calibre? -
What's involved in Positron's Task Force? I understand that it's long and boring, but rich in Merits? Or am I mistaken?
-
running the tutorial now, gonna ding level 2 and wander over to the sewers
-
Also Cas, if it were me, I'd just roll with it, pick the rough year that works best for your character, and if it winds up being contradictory, the man was simply ahead of his time, or a bit out of touch, both of which are fine for men of dubious sanity anyway.

okay team, tomorrow's the big roll out. 6pm Pacific is what? 9 or 10 eastern? I hate time zones.

This is a little late, I know. 'Tis the season. Anyway, here goes.
Officially, the Baronne Cimi'tiere is the ambassador to the Queen from the Island of Haiti. The truth is a little more muddy, however. Since fighting for their freedom and abolishing the practice of slavery in Haiti, the Haitians still struggled against French aggression. Both Napoloen and Charles the Tenth tried to re-conquer the island, and re-establish slavery. They might have succeeded if not for the undying hatred of a dark and malicious man known only as Baron Kriminel. Kriminel was a horse, the chosen vessel of a mighty loa spirit. This gave him terrible powers of death and darkness, which he used to visit woe on the oppressors. But his hatred knew no sane limitations. With his power, the Baron brought as much destruction on his own people as the oppressors. The loa was displeased, and so Kriminel had to be stopped. The loa chose a young woman with a fierce and protective nature to share it's blessings with. This young woman then rose up, and defeated Baron Kriminel, taking the powers he had abused for herself. These powers she would use to protect Haiti, and towards that goal she ventured into Europe, to England, as an ambassador from Haiti. In exchange for English support against further French aggression, Baronne Cimi'tiere pledged her powers and services to the crown, joining the prestigious Leviathan Guild. She has remained there ever since, tirelessly honoring her oath, and advocating for the rights of her people.
