The behavior in TFs is intended. I am hopeful we can change their minds enough to get us at least to the TF features we had before I16.

As an aside, getting fillers for Ouroboros sounds extremely onerous on the fillers compared to normal mission fillers, who can stay wherever they were without going to Ouro or a SG base to start an arc.
For my two cents worth, there never should have been a minus one setting to begin with. Seriously, if you can't handle your missions on +0 with no bosses... I don't know what to tell you. But maybe my years of experience make me too biased to be an accurate judge of difficulty for everyone. Although, here we are making huge sacrifices to the upper tiers of difficulty in order to compensate for the allowance of this lowest metric, so if nothing else one could make the case that the sacrifices we have to make in order to get a minus one setting are not worth whatever benefit most of us would gain by having it. You could argue that either way though.

For my part, I have done everything on my 50s. All that there is to do, I have done. I was really looking forward to doing some of my favorite arcs set for 8 over and over again as I need to to finance my alts. Set to +0 for 1 the missions don't provide the kind of rewards I need for that. I was really excited for this but now, well I have my doubts that I'll be allowed to do so. Basically, if this goes live it would be a huge buzzkill for me. And while there is certainly an argument to be made that it would only be temporary as a new fix came down the wire, that does little to placate me. After all, this is a game where I pay for the time I enjoy it. I don't want to pay to play the game in a state that I don't like. How about you get the full fix in, and then make the change, rather than making me pay for a half done job. That's just my opinion though.

This change would put me in an odd place on my 50s. I can't stand newspaper missions. I like story arcs, but I have done them all. I can only get further story arcs through Ouro or MA. While I will never exhaust all the stories available on MA, the vast, vast majority of them don't drop the purples that I enjoy trying to get, so it's somewhat pointless. Are my needs fairly sharply focused? Sure, maybe. I want to fight the maximum number of purple dropping enemies at a time, in a story arc. That's all I want to do, and for no reason that has anything to do with me, I'm looking at the very real possibility of losing that option. At least with my characters that have builds capable of facing those kinds of missions. It's just a poorly thought out, really bad idea that will make my highest level characters a lot less fun.

I suppose I wouldn't be as concerned as I am, but it just feels like, to me, the best part of SRSLY is going to go away, for who knows how long.
  2. Question, does this also prevent you from soloing arcs in Ouro as a full team of 8? Because if so... we're going to be right back to people looking for fillers again.
  3. I unlocked Viridian, solo. I would NEVER have gotten around to killing 200 Paragon Protectors on my own. Never. I tried hunting them in The Fab once and I just sort of blacked out from the epic hategasm it gave me.

But, running through Operative Grillo's "Escaped!" arc in Ouro, set for 8, I managed to get the badge in two runs. Now, I finally get to see what all the fuss is about, after 4 years of waiting!

(2 missions in, so far, I like it)

I don't see why. My soft capped builds manage to find challenges still. I just unlocked Viridian for the first time, and so far I'm two missions in and I died in each one. Stacking Vengeance ignores high defense pretty handily, as do multiple Longbow Wardens when Tub Ci decides to agro additional spawns during an ambush swarm. Granted, I am set to 8 players, but that's an option in game. That's the performance ceiling, so to speak. We should be pushing everyone towards it, not pulling the builds that can manage it back down.

We don't need to start invalidating a lot of good builds, hard work, and hard won inf by reworking the whole system. It's both easier and more satisfying to boost the resistance based builds by giving them more and better options.
  5. Okay team, we have a base!

Sadly, we can't yet afford to set the teleporters down just yet, but they're first on the list!

Where were you when LG was handing out gobs of cash?

The I16 XP boost to the lower levels is pretty darned noticeable, and may play havoc with my scheduled acquisitions.
I applaud your long term planning skills. I've often attempted to lay such plans of my own, only to be thwarted by my short attention spa...

THAT DOG HAS A PUFFY TAIL!

Here Puff-Puff! C'mere you little Puff!
  8. That's annoying. I paid for them, I want to use them. Not to be too overly testy about it.
  9. IOs are too bothersome to worry about, for me, until they start to directly outperform SOs. Ideally I'd move my way into them in the late 30s early 40s, however, the redside market sucks for generating anything you would want at levels less than 50. So normally I just grab the few IOs I consider most important to that toon as soon as I can, and switch to a full IO build at 47. But then, I am full of crazy idiosyncracies that make little to no sense.
  10. Another week, another great series of missions, and piles of levels gained all around! The average level is now, I believe, 13, and everyone who wants them has their DOs slotted up.

If you missed this week, don't worry! Super Sidekicking says you can still roll with us in relative safety! If you're new around here and looking to join up, shout out, we have room for more.

So next week we're running one more paper, then causing some Mayhem in King's Row! From there, we'll kick into Krylov's missions, which should fill the evening.

Also, I'll try to have some work done around our base. Priorities for the base are, in order of importance, Teleporters to every zone, a mission computer, plenty of storage, and a ressurection circle/medical teleporter.
  11. I'll try and get everyone who wants in to the SG in before the session, as much as possible. See you guys in Port Oakes, at 8 easten time tonight!

    Level 50 Snobs

Well I guess I'll chime in.

I wont exemp my 50s because they can't get purples then. Simple as that. But what I will do is switch to a lower level character and tag along. Chances are extremely good that I have a character that can both contribute and gain xp at any level.
  13. Refresh my memory, can you friend a trial player? If so that would be your best option.
  14. So.. you necro posted this thing back to life last month to pat yourself on the back. Then today you decided to go for the full back rub?

Does it feel good? I think you're going to throw your shoulder out.

    1) Clearly I was joking.

    2) It still takes Hammi-Os and IOs with an End Redux component. I am sure I could still get over 100% end redux on it, to make the joke still hold up. For teh lolz.
  16. I'm going to six slot it for end redux and see if it comes back a bonus once I get the value over 100%
  17. Okay guys, the Rogue Isles Legends SG is set up. Feel free to give me a shout any time during the week if you see me online, and I will send you an invite. There's no base yet but it's in the works.
  18. Hmm looking over the list, I was thinking. I had planned to run Binder of Beasts sometime between 15 and 20. However looking at the merit rewards, we would be better served, I think, to go with Willy Wheeler and then Operative Wellman between 15-20. Pretty sad when regular contacts give more generous rewards then the SF in their level range, lol.
  19. When I looked this morning they hadnt updated the wiki yet, so I saw 10. I'll check again, try and get an accurate look going forward of what kind of rewards we will be looking at.
  20. As for next week, here is what I would like to do. This is open to input from the group, of course, but here is my general plan.

    1) Stick with Boccor until level 10. At level 10, we'll finish out his arc if we are still in the middle of it, and then look to move on to Cap Au Diable.

    2) Run 3 papers in Cap and then grab the King's Row Mayhem mission, which we will then also run.

    3) Once we hit level 12 we will break to slot up some DOs.

    4) After completing the Mayhem, our options will be Demetri Krylov, Shelley Percy, and Peter Themari. I'm leaning towards Krylov for the following reasons; Mask Maker badge mission, and Spy Hunt arc, which awards 10 merits last I looked, which is pretty hefty rewards for redside content.

That should fill up the two hours. If we have a few odd minutes to kill at the end, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go see the Bloody Bay Liason and fly back to Mercy to see Seer Marino so that we don't have contacts stuffing those lame *** missions down our throats later on in life.

    Any thoughts?
  21. Well that was quite a turn out, and a hell of a time was had by all! In total we had 12 new villains arrive to tear up the streets of The Rogue Isles. We divided into two teams of 6 and tore through Kalinda's missions and then hit Port Oakes. We then plowed through 3 paper missions each and hit Atlas Park for the mayhem, walking away with shiny new jetpacks for all. Finally we set up Boccor as the next contact. Team A was fortunate enough to be offered the Loa Bone mission up front, so we ran through that real quick as well before calling it a night.

Some things to adress real fast.

    - Caleb Lancaster: I'm sorry we missed you last night. If you would like to some time this week I will partner up with you on one of my lowbie alts and help you get caught up in levels as well as get your Raptor Pack. You are still welcome to join us next week.

-LG: We'll be finishing up Boccor next week, but if you want to run your missions on your own I don't care. I want to try and set it so that we are all running the same arc missions at the same time though.

-TinyBolt: The global channel is already set up, thanks to Vexxa. It's Rogue Isles Legends. I can invite you any time if you see me online.

    - Rogue Isles Legends Villain Group: I will set this up myself later in the week, that way we wont have to stop next week's game in the middle to form it. Try to stay in SG mode during the low levels when it doesnt cost you anything. After that, it's on your dime, so do what ever you feel like. I didn't set this team up looking to form a VG, but it does seem like the easiest way to manage everything going forward. Of course, you can continue to play in the weekly crime sprees without joining the VG, if you already have a VG, or just dont want to be bothered to join. We will still have the Global Chat to manage cross team communication with players who don't want to join the VG. So nobody needs to feel any pressure to join if they dont want to.
  22. Okay, I am at Kalinda on Sinister Sphinx, I'll see you guys there.
