Praetorian Sally was probably killed and eaten long ago.
Or captured and experimented on long ago.
Or captured, experimented on with cybernetic implants, and now roams the land searching for victims. Long ago. -
I'll be honest. I never have problems with names. Ever. Really, I don't see what the big deal is. >_>
-
This is both hilarious and depressing.
And true. Hence the depression.
Thankfully, I think that this stage of the game is over. -
It's still Virtue, but just to let you know, the amount roleplaying on random teams has significantly dropped over the year. If you really want a lot of roleplaying, you're going to have to find a supergroup.
-
Quote:I was about to say that, but you beat me to it. Ah well.I'm surprised no one has mentioned Golden Eagle High in here yet, given that RP thread got restarted just a few days ago.
Yeah, high schools in Paragon are just made up by the person. Although, in the game, I did once RP a character that went to Golden Eagle High. Nobody ever noticed it, though. Or if they did they never said anything. >_> -
Another good one, Steelclaw. You never disappoint.
-
Two words.
Broad. Sword.
But good job beating off those bastards. Serves 'em right. -
When one of my old cats was a kitten, it picked up a piece of hotdog (that was almost as big as itself) and just sat there in the corner with it in his paws, just making that noise. It didn't even try to eat it.
It was so adowwable! -
Jon frowned at this "Rubbly" character, or whatever the heck he said his name was. Average height. Medium brown skin. Possibly of Latin American descent. Obnoxious. Stupid. Has no idea what is going on around him.
Jon could already tell that this idiot needed to be ground into the dust, if for no other reason than that horrifying smile was obviously stuck on his face. It was possible that being repeatedly beaten may help him with his frozen expression.
With this rather anti-social thought in his head, Jonathan looked over at the two girls next two him.
"Get a load of that guys. Would you all like to go make ourselves acquainted?" His tone of voice and malicious smile told them that his motives were not exactly nice. -
Jon shrugged his shoulders with an uncaring "meh." She could sit wherever she liked, it wouldn't bother him in the least, as long as she didn't interrupt the perfectly good conversation he had at the moment. People were so rude.
He looked up briefly at the loudmouth barging through the door, and gave an thankful nod to the one who slammed it in the idiot's face. Name: Danny. Caucasian. Of British descent. If rumors were to be believed, he could handle a bow in a fight. And he was apparently a total hottie, according to the Freshmen girls.
He then turned back towards Tonbogiri. Nictus. Known as Warshade on this planet. With powers seemingly opposite of the Peacebringers. Frequently mistrusted, or misunderstood. Quite frequently driven to suicide.
Jon's previously uninterested voice seemed to show some enthusiasm at last.
"A Warshade, eh? Fascinating. Although I have not been here long, I know for a fact there are not too many of your kind here. And the ones that ARE here seem to want to lay low, for fear of being 'hated' or some such nonsense."
He was finally talking, and once he had started, not much could make him shut up. He had her attention, so he kept going with his odd outburst.
"I have the power to control the dead. I assume that you are either 'freaked out' by this fact, or more likely, yourself being misunderstood by many, you will be briefly confused and then push your hypocrisy away. But I digress. Would you like to see something hilarious?"
He looked around the room for something. Spotting a half-eaten bucket of chicken, he stared at it hard and waved his fingers in the air like a puppeteer. One by one, each piece of chicken jumped, hopped, or crawled out of the bucket and began assaulting the legs of the small man who had just now broken into his wonderful conversation. Jon even managed a little smile. -
Tonbogiri. Possibly Japanese? Korean? Or some other possibility he had not yet considered?
"Fascinating."
Getting an odd stare, he directed attention from his seemingly random outburst.
"I might as well ask now. What are your powers, how did you get them, what do you plan on using them for, etc, etc, etc..."
Although he continued to sound bored out of his mind, he looked mildly interested in whatever her answer may be. -
Looks good. Go ahead and pop on in.
-
I agree. One character each is good with me.
-
Jon looked up briefly at the new person on the couch. He quickly went over her more obvious features in his head.
Short. Of unknown Asian descent. Obviously bored. Probably a newcomer, even moreso than himself, as she seemed not to know that the uniform was only necessary for the classroom.
Her question was not a rhetorical one, so he decided to answer.
"It works. The name is Jonathan Faathim Christus. Or Jon, if you prefer. I really don't care."
Risking disease, he absently munched on some stale popcorn, pausing a moment to wipe some crumbs off of his black shirt. If anyone was sober enough to notice, there seemed to be a simple picture of a golden, oriental style dragon on the front. -
Quote:Twas asking If I should be presenting a character sheet with all his stats and such.
Oh. Nah, you're good. A quick description would be good, though.
EDIT- Crap. Forgot to mention what Jon is wearing. >_<
He's wearing a black teeshirt with a simple symbol of a dragon on it, a leather belt, and blue jeans. He is wearing round glasses. He also has a fedora, cause they rock. -
-
I assume he was still here. Off camera. >_>
Did he officially leave the thread? If he did, I'll just take that section out. :| -
All that was good in the last thread, so it's okay now. The only rules that are different are the ones listed.
-
Real threads now started. Everyone post in those from now on! Please and thank you!

Jonathan Faathim Christus was a little bit nervous.
In fact, ever since coming to Earth from his home, the Shadow Shard, he had been a little bit nervous. And more than a little bit confused.
His father was just one of the American soldiers who, when Portal Corporation discovered the Shadow Shard in 2004, were sent in to help protect the scientists. His mother was a mutant with powerful healing abilities, and also the ability to control friction in the air, and create fire. These were obviously useful talents to have in a place so dangerous as the Shadow Shard, and she volunteered to help out those that were posted there. Simply put, Jonathans mother and father met. They fell in love. And one year later, Jonathan Faathim Christus is born.
Right from the start, they knew he was different. It was pretty easy to see that, as the purple skin and hair would clue just about anyone in. Being former Paragon City residents, this was no large surprise. And neither was the knowledge that as the boy grew older, he began to develop the power to reanimate the dead, causing chicken carcasses at dinner to dance. This was slightly off-putting, but as he didnt seem to have any mad ideas to destroy the very universe around him, they thought nothing of it.
They of course assumed that their beautiful, purple little boy was a mutant. But to their dismay, when on one of his check-ups, the doctors there told them that he was not, in fact, a mutant. In fact, they had no idea WHAT he was.
After numerous tests, and many nights staying up drinking poorly made coffee, they came to the vague conclusion that his being conceived and raised in the Shadow Shard had somehow altered his biology to an extent that they were no longer sure that he could be called a human being. That, or a world shattering deity had decided to make him the God of the Undead. But they were fairly sure it was the former, rather than the latter.
Taking this in stride, the faithful parents continued to raise him as normally as they could. They taught him Earth-games like soccer, and swimming. Unfortunately, because the very laws of reality in their dimension were different from Earths some of their games didnt work out quite the same way. For instance, when they swam in the liquid native to the dimension, the moment they left the water they were completely dry. And occasionally, their soccer or basket balls might just float away f or no particular reason.
And once the day finally came that they would go back to Earth, Jonathan was so incredibly happy. He had grown up in the Shard, had friends there, and felt that it was his home. But the chance to go to the city, the DIMENSION that he had heard so much about was an exhilarating prospect! And he WAS exhilarated. Right up until he went through the giant, familiar portal.
Then things got weird.
The first thing he noticed was that the air and gravity were different. He needed to take deeper breaths, and his body felt light and odd. The next terrifying thing he found out was the sky was a completely wrong color! It was blue! Blue! Of all things!
And it all went downhill from there. The first bath he took on Earth, he practically had a nervous breakdown from the bizarre feeling on his skin, which he later found out was described as wet. He did not like being wet.
And the tip of the iceberg was when he discovered, that although he had grown at a normal rate in the Shadow Shard, and had lived what had appeared to be 15 years, time worked differently on Earth. He was not 15 years old. He was four.
And one year later, he had been sent to a school for the young super powered. By this time, he had adjusted somewhat the freakishness of this world, but he was still having problems seeing so many people at the same time. Where he had lived, he had had 23 children at the facility. Here, there were he didnt even know. Too many to count.
And now he was off to a party for the first time, after spending each night cooped up in his dorm room. School had just ended for the semester, whatever that is, and he had been invited to some sort of celebration. He had no idea why they were celebrating, for now he would have to find something to take up his time.
He sighed. Walked up to the dorm room door, opened it, and walked into a loud, excited room that appeared to have been magically widened. There was a faint smell of alcohol in the air. It seemed as if some idiot had already smuggled some low-quality booze into the room. It would only be a matter of time before a teacher showed up to confiscate the contraband. He might as well sit down and attempt to enjoy himself at this party.
So he gave himself yet another loud, annoyed sigh, found the closest sofa with no couple making out on it, and slumped down to discover what a party on Earth was like. So far, it was terrible.
((This is it, people! We are started! In case you didnt catch the memo, we are starting the RP at an end-of-semester party so all our characters can get to know each other. Well start doing other stuff later. Come one in and enjoy the fun. J
Also, dont do what Im doing here. In other words, this thread SHOULD be IC only. Which means Im screwing up. Anyway, enjoy yourself.))

Superhero 102 is an open RP where the purpose to chronicle the daily lives of the students who go to a school known as Golden Eagle High. It is a sequel of sorts to my old RP, Superhero 101.
This thread will be all OOC. This is a place for links, information, chatter about the RP, and going over future storylines we may want to do. This will also be the place to go for the rules, and a general explanation about where this RP takes place, and some of the people in the RP. Enjoy!
THE PLACE
This RP takes place in a made-up zone of Paragon City called Lakeview. Lakeview is placed on an island off the coast of Paragon, with a bridge going to the Mainland. Why is called Lakeview, if it is in the ocean, and not a lake? Because I say so!
The most common gangs seen in Lakeview are as follows (in order of how often they are seen).
-Skulls
-Hellions
-Trolls
-Circle of Thorns
-Clockwork
-Freakshow
-Infected
Golden Eagle High is near the middle of the island. It is above-average in size, as far as high schools go. Take that as you will.
Being a high school, it has all the typical classes associated with school. Math, history, science, etc. But being an exclusively super-powered school, it also has the most intense gym class of all time, and many of the classes are very specific about what they teach. For instance, in science class, you may be given a test to see how much you know about the Genetic Mutation theory that explains how a simple change-up of a few genes can cause someone to be able to nullify gravity and shoot flames from their toes.
The school is designed to be lived in at all times, and is built rather sturdily, to say the least. It is built like a fortress, not to keep students in, but to keep all of the many, many threats in Paragon City out.
Golden Eagle High has many, many defense systems set up inside and outside the school. It is equipped with automatic turrets, shock-fences, stun guns, security cameras, hexes put in place by magic users, among other things.
The school is built primarily in four large towers, with long hallways connecting each tower. The center of the school is open-air, and has a very pretty little park throughout it, with swings, a slide, and walkways through the gardens and flowers.
In the center of the gardens in a large, circular indent in the ground that looks like it is made of some sort of glass. A large, barred fence has been place around it, and a plaque shows that it was left intact to remind everyone of the terrible tragedy that had taken place the year before, where several students and civilians, powered and non-powered were slaughtered by a creature that had somehow gotten through security. Although this has happened rather recently, and security has been upped dramatically (especially those magical in nature), things have more or less died down.
To the north of the gardens in the enormous cafeteria building. This cafeteria serves food from all cultures on Earth, and even a few from other planets for the extraterrestrial student or teacher. Although it has never been officially proven, the huge size of the building lead some to believe that the building serves as a secret superhero training base, or a government weapons manufacturing plant (some jokingly imply that the food is being used for the weapons).
To the west, east, and south are the dormitories. Each dorm room is designed for comfort and utility. Every student has a room mate, and the rooms are designed as such, with two beds. There is a TV, a small fridge and a bathroom that includes a shower. There is also a trunk at the foot of each bed, and a personal little cabinet and chest of drawers for each student to the side of their beds. Although they did try co-ed dorm room experiment at one point, this has been abolished for quite awhile, to some of the students dismay. Under no circumstances is the room-mate to any student a student of the opposite gender.
To the south is also the gates of the school, which can be opened or closed only by those with a special card that all the guards and teachers have. This gate used to be operated by a kindly old lady that was loved dearly by the students, but she has, unfortunately passed away. Her replacement is a crotchety old man who is thoroughly despised by students and teachers alike, named Theodore Thurmburger. He is rumored to be a retired super villain who once fought Statesman, but this rumor has never been shown to be true. On the other hand, its never been denied, either.
The students cannot bring weaponry into the school, unless it is what drives or controls their powers. During class, you must wear the school uniform. (unless you can't Ex: you are a robot/cyborg, your power comes from whatever you typically wear, or taking off your armor/whatever can make you leak radiation, become very weak, transform into a horrible creature, die, etc.) The uniform is a blue or black dress shirt and khaki pants for guys, and a blue or black dress shirt for girls with a uniform skirt. Hats, berets, necklaces, and jewelry are all allowed, along with any accessory needed to channel a students powers. No sun glasses unless you need them (as in, you will be shooting fire balls out of your cornea if you do not have them on), and all complaints about the outfit will be promptly ignored.
Outside the school are many restaurants, with the faux-latin fast-food restaurant, El Super Mexicano, dominating. There is also a popular little burger joint about a mile away.
THE TEACHERS
Principal Williams-
This man is tall, very muscle-bound, and very old. Most of the teachers will call him 'sir' or those more chummy with him, Eagle; Short for Golden Eagle, his hero name from the days of yester year. Due to living in England for a number of years, he carries a slight British accent. He typically wears a tan suit and tie. with a gold button that is shaped like an eagle on his chest. What little hair he has is a whitish grey, and he sports a large mustache. His eyes are a strange gold color. He is very strict, but will go easy if he knows exactly why the student got into trouble, and he knows the student could not help but do it. For instance, radiation leaks, accidental use of powers, transformation into a hideous beast, etc. This is a school for the super powered after all. As far as powers go, you might call him the love child of an Energy/Energy Blaster and a Martial Arts/Invulnerability Scrapper, with Flight as his power set.
Ms. Maurice-
Ms. Maurice is a librarian. Her powers are super speed. (And according to the students, eyes on the back of her head.) She can spot a trouble maker from a mile away, whether a mugger, an evil mage, or simply a mischievous student.
Mr. Wolfe-
Mr. Wolfe is the PE teacher. He's tough, he's mean, he enjoys yelling. He was a super powered criminal (a Super Strength/Willpower Brute, to be exact) for many years, until he was finally caught. After 18 years of jail time, he was ready to play it straight. He became a hero. That was 20 years ago, and after several lucky encounters with Principal Williams, he was called in to work as the physical education teacher. He wears his costume pretty much all the time. Skintight armor that is attached to his skin all over his body, cargo pants, combat boots, tied sweatband, and a thin strip of a mask. His permanent armor is grey, his cargo pants are black, he has a brown leather belt with equipment, and his mask is black as well. Contrasting with this drab outfit is a shining golden button, identical to the principals. He wears this as a badge of honor. Some say it is because he is grateful for the principal for hiring him, and others think that it is simply because he thinks it looks good. The truth may never come out. Although not hated by the students who work with him, he is universally feared because of his loud, brash manners.
Mrs. Wolfe-
This is the loving wife of Mr. Wolfe. She teaches history, super history and non. Most of the students love her, for she is kind and helpful. Most of her classes focus on super-powered history. Ex: the mages of ancient times, the people who called themselves 'gods,' The Rikti War, Brass Monday, etc. She has the power to alter light, creating complex and believable illusions, bright, blinding flashes of light, or even blast of ambient energy that is powerful enough to cause painful burns.
Nurse Bastian-
An enigma for many of the students. She has been described as both loving an hateful, gentle and mean, cool-headed and easily angered. But the word that probably best describes this woman is intense. Despite what some think, she really does love her students and the school in general, and her quickly-sparked anger on injured students simply stems from concern for them. Typical of the worlds super-powered nurses, she has the power to heal wounds. She is also an empath, a person who is not able to read the minds of those around her, but she is able to feel their emotions. Because of this, she is a very good judge of character. It is whispered around the school that she is a government agent, but like most of the school rumors, this has never been proven.
The other teachers arent especially important to the story, and if you want to make a teacher for any particular reason, just ask me first, please. When and if new teachers are created, I will edit this post to include them, plus a short description, in this area of the thread.
THE RULES
1. This is a high school. The students should act like teens, not adults, unless that is approved by me. If you want to make it so, PM me or just ask here.
2. This is an RP for students. You may make a teacher if you like, but, as in the last thread, all teachers can be controlled by anyone who needs them for anything at that moment. They are really more of background than characters that have in-depth back stories.
3. The last thread roleplayed all aspects of a students day, including the classes. Although this was alright for awhile, it quickly began to get boring. For this thread, we will only be RPing the time after school ends for the day, the weekends, the holidays, etc. We may or may not have special in-class roleplaying sessions later, if it is needed.
4. The thread has no definite story. We will just be winging it at first, and story suggestions or ideas can come here, in this thread to be discussed. If the general consensus is that we should do it, then it shall be done! J
5. When making your students, note that just about anything is allowed! As far as creativity goes, youre not going to get stifled. Want a large bird head? Do you have a reason for it? Then sure! Want your lower half to be a snakes body, because of a horrible mutation or terrible family curse? Go for it! You can make it any archetype/powerset combination you want. You can even make your character a boastful, dangerous, horrible, unlikable little jerk that everyone wants to kill. You can make them graffiti artists, arsonists, or possibly suicidal. But, above all
6. NO GOD MODE! For heavens sake, dont do it. You can be powerful, you can even have moments where you are temporarily powered up so you can do something a little epic, but under no circumstances are you going to be a Nuclear Bomb/Invulnerability Blaster, or a Superawesomepowerfuldeath Sword/Fire Blast Stalker. You can be a little different, you can even use powerset combinations that are technically not allowed in the game. But if you decide to become God, know that you will be utterly reviled by all, and possibly ignored.
7. Use good typing! Try to use proper punctuation and grammar. This is a story, after all. Its just written by many different people. Keep unpunctuated words, random smilies, and OOC silliness to this thread, please. J
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And thats pretty much it! Im happy that its coming back.
To all the veterans of the old thread that are still around, welcome! And to the newbies who are interested, also welcome! Let the fun begin!

Can anyone remember if there was a gang prominent at Lakeview that didn't exist in the game? Except for the Golden Dragons? I'm struggling to remember, and it SEEMS like there was. >_<
BTW, I'm writing up the OFFICIAL THREAD right now. We'll all be starting at an end-of-semester party. Assume that your character has been a part of the school for awhile now, for those with new characters. You can be new, but just not TOO new. Yannowutimean?
The party will be so our characters can get aquainted. After this little RP shindig we'll be ready for the real fun and games. -
Well all, I'm halfway finished with starting the new thread. The rules, as well as a bunch of information about the school, has been written up. Next I'll write the first IC post for the RP Thread itself, and then we'll be ready to roll!
Also, great work on the wiki, guys! I am incredibly impressed! But only bother with the things you know FOR SURE About, because I Just wrote up a bunch of fluff for our new thread that can be put into the wiki. I Don't want any contradictions.
But anyhow, be ready for it to start tonight!
