I have a friend who has 470 million influence....meaning, if I understand it correctly, it translates into 94 million prestige and a pretty impressive base.
[/ QUOTE ]
Influence to prestige is five HUNDRED to one, not five to one. 470million is less than one million presige. It's a good amount, but you'd do better to give it to other SG members so they can leave SG mode on all the time, and earn prestige. -
Actually if you're running at superspeed and hop before your actual attack, momentum will, indeed, carry you past. (I like combat jump for that...)
As for flight... yea. We used to get bitten by -ACC now supression works harder on us. That and the very useless group-fly is why I'm tending to go with the Leaping pool mostly now. -
[ QUOTE ]
I do have to question the 7Million and not having placed a power plant yet.. i'm thinking that's a typo? I'd love to get some confirmation on that.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm thinking it must be, or something. 7 Million is a MUCH larger plot of land, all room types, with many of each type (and level) of items placed.
And many characters maxed out at 40... -
[ QUOTE ]
Ya i saw some of those recipes. Looks interesting I must say. But still to have the prestige to buy the item you've just crafted is obsurd in my mind. SG's and VG's could save a lot of prestige if we could just craft it on our own without paying for it. IMO.
[/ QUOTE ]
Is there... No.
WHERE is the growing list of recipeis for stuff? -
Another bug is that pets status icons aren't always updating/showing up. But that could just be one of the random memory overwrites I've been getting. -

1) when someone in sg quits, who does their prestige go to?
[/ QUOTE ]
As long as the SG still has 15 or more members, the jumpstart prestige remains. And EARNED prestige also remains. If the number of members drops below 15, there is an amount deducted from the SG.
Which tells me that the right way to do it might be to spend all the jumpstart prestige, have everyone quit and then rejoin. Don't know if the amount of prestige can go below zero or not.
[ QUOTE ]
2) about how much prestige should you have b4 starting to build a base?
[/ QUOTE ]
I estimate about 600k-750k for a working base just to start. For a "display" base, start at 300k and just do one room.
PvP bases should probably start around 2million, but that's a guess.
[ QUOTE ]
3)where do you go to change inf to prestige?
[/ QUOTE ]
The same place you went to create the base, and to pay rent - Atlas Park SG registar, or the Port Oakes SG registar.
Note that it's hideously expensive - like everything about bases. 500xp for one prestige point. And no - you can't convert it back.
[ QUOTE ]
4)where do you go to change enhancements into prestige?
[/ QUOTE ]
You can't. Sell the enhancements then buy the prestige as above.
[ QUOTE ]
5)is there, or is there not a way to bank salvage at THIS POInt?
[/ QUOTE ]
No. I'm told the max you can have is 20 of any type, so you might have to use alt "mules" to hold onto excess.
Alternatively, when you get to a working level for your base, you can create and place items.
[ QUOTE ]
6) more to come i'm sure...lol
[/ QUOTE ]
Bring it on! -
[ QUOTE ]
That's great that we can sell everything and modify the base as much as we want/need, but my 4 person RL supergroup is having a [censored] of a time just putting together the basics. So while I see his point of a mostly 1 way cash flow, i do think the initial bonus/prices need to be high enought to get energy, control, and 1 worktable. The bigger stuff can be more expensive, fine. But I want to take advantage of the new crafting system and refuse to disband my small SG.
[/ QUOTE ]
Get people to put in alts until you've hit the 15 person "worth it" cap.
In fact, let me know which server you're on - if I can, I'll create drones and let you recruit them! -
There doesn't seem to be a way to know what your Gross assets are for an SG - all you can see is what's left.
Kinda makes it hard to pre-plan for the rent... -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
You can trade Influence for Prestige.
[/ QUOTE ]
How/where do I do that?
[/ QUOTE ]
Same place you created the base - Atlas Park in CoH and I think Mercy Island in CoV. But the exchange rate is a bad joke. For one million INF you can't get one single functional item. You can get decorative items, though like 20 chairs that don't fit your butt... -
[ QUOTE ]
poz,
So...what exactly is my motivation for playing in SG mode? I'm not exactly an "SG HOO-RAH" type. My primary desire is inf to buy SOs. Anything my SG can get past that is irrelevant gravy to me. So, why should I ever enter into SG mode when SG mode shortchanges me?

Because the amount of Prestige you earn is listed on the SG roster and you don't want them to boot your butt? -
[ QUOTE ]
Heh, there's an earlier post where the guys at NC flat out SAID that they'll be adding in personal hideouts for heroes. Heh, now I gotta start up an Ice Tanker. They'll be really popular as an ice cube source for hero parties.
[/ QUOTE ]
Masterminds are pretty neat at parties - all the minions in different areas, playing music! -
[ QUOTE ]
So, how does one rename a base?
[/ QUOTE ]
You don't. "Your base" refers to the base your SuperGroup has. Additional names appear if you are in a Coalition as the name of the SuperGroups.
I doubt that Batman really thinks of it as "The Batcave" - he probably rolls his eyes when others call it that. But he's got so much Prestige (he's been playing since the 1930s) he can pretty well do what he wants. And he's got all the bat-kids out earning more for him. er, THEM. -

At higher levels Brutes get the power to summon Synapse and throw him at enemies as a range attack.

WOOT!!! We're holding you to that or crying STEALTH NERF!!

High in this case means level 54 -
Positron:
Thank you for a clear, consise, and open response. I don't like it (four ShadowShard TFs and the MoonFire TF - UGH!) but I do understand no why it is the way it is.
Please teach those that do the release notes how to write/speak so we have fewer flamewars. -

Prestige farming, gonna have to take care of that in I7...any comments as to the most efficient AT for that?
[/ QUOTE ]
Scrappers or blasters if it's a general "what ever you do in SG mode"
Defenders (empathy anyway, sorry FFers!) if it's only stuff you do while on teams.
Of course, it's PROBABLY something as asanine as "only stuff you do while in SG mode while teamed with others in your SG. Because we're not isolationist enough. because if we were more clanish, the arena's would be more packed. Never mind that this sort of behaviour would completely KILL the game. -
What ever happened to this:

Founders' Falls (968, 0, 2622)
This building is in the final stages of preparing suites for the use of the city's Super Groups. -
[ QUOTE ]
Just because you're in SG mode doesn't mean you automatically get Prestige. You still have to do things.
[/ QUOTE ]
I certainly hope that if it's required we be in SG mode to pay our Base rent, that you fix the bugs associated with changing costumes while in SG mode.
It's annoying to change costumes and have to go back EVERY time and reset all the colors.

Thanks for the info, Alexa, just in time for me to cancel my pre-orders with GameStop.
[/ QUOTE ]
When you cancel it, please let them know WHY. Marketing (which drives nonesense like this) needs to suffer from it's stupidity. -
They should have a "floating badge" awarded to the current person on the MOST friends list. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd be on it!
-
I occurs to me that with hostage escorts and friendly heroes, Team Teleport will finally be usefully. Team fly might, if the missions were out doors.

[ QUOTE ]
How about making the base more attackable when more SG members utilize it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pretty much what I was going to suggest. If a minimum number of people are on (and not in TFs) then a base could be set to "battlemode" - my thoughts are that it should be a straight "You now have enough people to defend you base. " switch, rather than making it scalable.
For those that think a "surprise" raid is a good design, post your home phone so we can "simulate and test" that concept.
I am confused, though - does this mean that the attacker gets to choose the time, reguardless of the defender's real life? If that's true, the western and eastern hemisphere's are (basically) going to war.
I also hope there is some limit to number of defenders and as well as attackers. I can easily see twelve attackers going in vs twelve defenders and discovering that Global chat allows us to summon help from everyone's alt that's in our SG. In Virtue:People's Vanguard 's case, that might be a bit much.
Question: Will hero groups be able to raid OTHER hero groups bases? I assue that villian groups will be able to raid other villian groups, but this might be a bit "non-realistic"
[ QUOTE ]
I'm beginning to doubt your qualifications as a villain. First your staff was extremely nice and helpful at E3 and now this...compassion for the players. It's disgusting.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, he's a Villian - he's just not evil. More like Ming the Merciless instead of Freddy Krueger. Think of Lord (Dr.) Victor vonDoom when he's well written. -
Will we ever hear anything on the Pratorian version of Blue Steel?
Or the Pratorian version of our own characters? -
I'm not on test, so I can't check:
Are both mole points actually appearing on test? Last time I was in one (I think it was FBZ) everything except the people were invisisble. -
I'm been thinking about this. My thoughts are that it's nice but irrelavant. Similar to the Scrappers critical, it's not something that should be relied upon not counted upon. If it's happens cool. If it doesn't happen life goes on.
An additional percentage chance of secondary effects would be nice as well, but also rather irrelavant. -

what i would like to see added/modified with badges...
1. progression bar for all badges
2. lower amount for monkey badge
3. count added to progression bar (like for health, endurance, and xp)
[/ QUOTE ]
Seconded. Points one and two are SERIOUS quality of life issues. The third is only a MAJOR quality of life issue.
