I do admire your plan to die. I'm not sure what would be fitting.
My suggestion is take a half an hour or so, and scroll, slowly, through your badges. Relive in your memory how you got each one. Remember the teams and adventures of each. Get a feel for "who" Slayer was. Each badge is a moment in that character's history. One you have re-lived the 'sum of his experiences', I think you'll have a better idea how to say goodbye for the last time. -

Well, looks like everyone was busy little bees this weekend.
The Lag and Mapservers were a bit of an annoyance, but fun was had in spite of it.
Angry Sysop : 36 - 42
Terrible Reactor : 0 - 33
Dockworker (Tanker on Liberty) : 11 -17
I want to send my thanks for all the help to White Hot Flash, ElectroHawk, Molly Millions, Money Penny, Dinah Might, SonicBang, Sync, & most especially NetMinder. You guys made the weekend fun and productive! -
One thing that you also must realize is, although Double XP is a "gift" for the players, it is also a time for the System Administrators to do real-world testing on the servers.
So, what's that mean for us?
The errors we saw are now, as-we-speak being talked about in cubicles and conferance rooms throughout the NC Soft offices. Devs sometiimes seem hardnosed, or deaf to our cries, they are not. Rememember, it's their job to work on these servers and the code within.
I have no doubt they are plotting and planning on how to increase stability.
Dangerous it is to say, as a player.... But..... I have faith in the Devs.
NOTE: Don't quote me on that.

So, as the door closes on this Double XP Weekend, how did you do?
Did your Altitus kick in and make you play musical chairs with all your characters?
Or did you lock yourself into one toon and take them all the way to 50?
How much sleep did you loose?
Did you survive completely on Mountain Dew and Cheetoes, because you refuse to leave your computer desk?
How many friends and loved ones did you loose? Or at least confuse the heck out of, trying to explain MMOs and Double XP?

It's not. People have had problems with Virtue, and Protector too.
Some were laggy, but at least I was able to sign on.
