  2. Philly went to Vegas. 'nuff said.
  3. I definately appreciate the work being put in by the folks in this thread. Great job!

Question for the statistically inclined: At what point do we have enough data?

Without crunching the numbers and just reading through the thread I am convinced that recipe drops have dropped from approximately 20% of live and that it appears most of that is attributable to Lts.

Well, I take that back . . . a bit at least. No one, to my knowledge, has compiled boss drop information. So bosses may or may not also be a problem.

IO recipe crafting: Salvage, IO and recipes (takes more time to study and manage - highest rewards per transaction, higher risk)
I also agree and like this hierarchy of risk v. time, but would add vendoring (buying salvage, SOs, and common recipes from Wentworths for very low prices and selling to stores and contacts) as no risk, low return, very easy, longer time commitment than flipping, less time than recipe crafting assuming you have a store or contact close to WW/BM.

    I'm hiding here

I heard that Disney was going to buy Cryptic and add both the Incredibles and Marvel Universe Characters to CO.

    What? I heard it on the Internet . . . somewhere . . .
  6. But a map cap combined with a "phantom" padder that puts drops in his phantom pocket due to the new difficulty slider might.

Also a question for those farming the Cimerora wall: I know you are not fighting in an instanced map or mission, but just out of curiosity, what is your current difficulty slider setting?
  7. Place bids at half of average last 5 on Monday, collect on Thursday and list for 1.5x your purchase price. Collect funds on Monday and repeat.

Whenever you want to buy something for your character, buy 2 (or more), sell the extras for at least 20% more than you paid.
  8. Am I recalling correctly that the devs made a per map cap on tickets? I'm not talking about the 1500 per mission or the 9999 maximum carry capacity. I vaguely recall a discussion or announcement that each map had it's own ticket cap.

If so, could the ticket cap per map have gotten translated to a recipe per map cap?

Ex Libris was always game to PvP, even if she was ganked.

And they have also engaged in PvP at the end of CoH beta and CoV beta. For the end of CoH the Devs controlled some of the invading Rikti.

For the end of CoV beta they hopped on signature characters and staged an invasion of the Rogue Isles. While I wish I could say it was an epic battle, the only thing epic that I remember was lag.

Ocassionally, the Devs log in to test and let themselves be beaten up (or use dev tools to annihilate players). Positron did that on day one of I16 open beta. He went to Steel Canyon Icon, turned on his PvP flag, and let people wail on him. We could drain his endurance but not dent his HP. Then he turned off everyone's powers.

And that's why you can't PvP with Devs . . . they cheat
  12. I'd be willing to help out with any of my toons. I'd also like to get the Master badges on my namesake.
  13. We've been invaded by slugs!

Quick, someone get me some salt!

    Oh, and welcome back.

    Another sad and useless post.
  17. I think that Blizzard and Fallout are the king and queen of damage.
  18. I've done all Kheldian ITF and attempted a Statesman (failed against the Patrons).

I wanted to do an all sonic ITF, but couldn't get enough interest so it ended up sonic/therm/cold. I've never seen Romulus melt so fast.

I would still like to do an all sonic disruption team. Capped resistance and huge amounts of -resistance.
  19. Welcome!

I don't know. He doesn't seem very villainous to me.

    hello

    Welcome Kittycat 15.

As with any game, there is a bit of a learning curve. Don't worry about it, things will get faster with time and experience. I agree that you should move to King's Row. When you get there, you will see a waypoint for a Detective.

Go talk to him and that will open up your ability to run "scanner" missions. After speaking to him, you will see a radio at the top of your contact list. If you click on it, it will give you a list of three missions you can choose from.

After doing a few of those missions, it will direct you back to the Detective to do a "Safeguard" mission. You have to protect a bank from bank robbing villains. If you complete this mission, you will get a temporary travel power.

Since you are new, I would also recommend you find someone to team with, especially for the safeguard.
