At a quick glance, I thought it was a fire/fire/blaze mastery scrapper. At closer look I see too many blasts and not enough shields. My bad.

My best friend in second grade was Teddy Galetta.
Teddy, is that you?? -
Quote:Several people predicted that stealth IOs would become rare with weighting. How many ranged damage or melee damage powers are there? Lots. How many "travel" powers are there? Far fewer.I have a suspicion that the weighting for some set IO drops in Pool C may be very very off. I have received a preponderance of Mako and Devastation set recipes and about what is expected of most other sets......
However, I have not received a single stealth IO since I16 went live and the dates on the last 5 in both the run and jump categories on blue side when I last checked were going stale (last 5 with dates in weeks rather than days). None for sale at any level with multiple outstanding bids.
I know that Posi doesn't "really" like people stealthing missions. I wonder just how low the weighting on stealth IO drops may have been made. -
Quote:I agree with this statement. The pool of players experienced in ITF speed runs is pretty broad and deep these days. It's hard to grab 8 random people and get more than 1 who doesn't have a several speed runs under their belt.
Just like what happened with Quick Katies, initially only highly skilled, cohesive teams were able to do them efficiently. But as time went on, more and more people experienced fast runs and learned the tricks. Pretty soon everyone and their 10 year old daughters were running Quick Katies.
Same thing has happened with the ITF. It's been around long enough that, I would guess, several hundred players on Justice can run a speed ITF. Maybe not under 30 minutes, but certainly 45 - 60 minutes.
Now, I'm not talking about 7 blasters and a regen scrapper, but a "standard" TF team with a tank with a few buffer/debuffers and a reasonable amount of damage. -
Maybe I'm just having an unlucky streak.

Completely non-scientifically, yes. I have noticed a reduction in recipe drops, especially any sets. I still seem to get a normal or slightly less than normal amount of generic recipes.

The best part is seeing the name of the url this game from. -
Quote:About .03 improvement in most things if at the ED cap.I didn't even realize that you could get L53 EEs...how much do they improve over L50s?
Also, I have a vague recollection that the market used to take + and ++ enhancements but the buyer only got an even level, but that the devs patched that to make the game's market consider a +HO a 51 and a ++HO a 52. I searched for it and couldn't find it. But that's what I remember. -
How about a duel on test?
We could sell tickets and popcorn! -
I know I have some 51s and 52s in storage, but I don't remember off hand what kind of HOs they are. Back before IOs I used to do one or two Hammy raids a day. And since we didn't have storage or a market, I would combine them.
But I'm fairly sure I do not have anything level 53. Sorry, Werner. If you decide to go for lower ones let me know (@bionic flea). -
What if you animated some of the other devs to fix that stuff? It might just work.

Quote:I think people frequently confuse weapons and shields with costume parts, especially since they became so customizable. Not true. We cannot alter animations based on the presence or absence of a costume part.
I wouldn't mind having a slash attack for WolfCrabSpider Flea, but I can't bring myself to ask BaBs to do it. Brawl is already one of the biggest PITA powers in the game. -
"I'll keep this short and sweet. We ordered one of these rabbits for our children this Easter and boy what a surprise. It is NOT a living rabbit. Someone has killed this rabbit and skinned it, I suppose for eating. Anyway, our children were traumatized and Easter is not the same holiday that it used to be for us. On the upside, we don't have to fill their Easter baskets anymore as we told them the Easter bunny was killed by Amazon."
I also liked the tags. I wonder how many of them where placed there by Justice folks. They seems awfully familiar. -
Are Zephyr -KBs like stealth IOs, meaning that it works regardless of what level you exemp to?
Leveling is so fast these days that I'd rather wait until the 40s or 50 to slot good stuff, just because it's more available and affordable, especially if it's backward compatible. -

*Shrug*
I'm not sure what all the controversy is about.
Both JFA and Chrome have large audiences, many of them the same people. Both have them have capped or are close to capping their populations and have decided to move to a new channel to get rid of channel members that no longer play and make room for new members.
You can choose to join one, the other, both, or none. Personally, I am in both and intend to stay that way. I'm usually quiet and keep to myself, but occasionally I'll post a question, or an answer, or an invitation to start one thing or another. Sometimes I'll join a discussion or make a song reference. Every so often someone gets out of hand in one channel or the other, but more often than not, I have to scroll back to find it because I wasn't monitoring the channel.
It's kind of like background noise for me much of the time. I'm not really paying attention to it, but I'm comforted by it being there. It helps me to know that their are other people pecking at their computers and playing this game.
If TJ doesn't like it. That's his right and he doesn't have to join. No one has to convince him. If he changes his mind down the line, I'm sure he will be welcome. On the other hand, I don't think TJ needs to come in here spouting conspiracy theories to put down the channel or its mods.
The old saying is that good fences make good neighbors. Let's try to stay out of each other's backyard and we'll all get along better. -
Just based on my personal play and what I have observed others do:
Getting to level 10-12 is easy and quick enough without any powerleveling that I often do it just to get the feel of the character at low levels. It only takes a couple of hours.
After that, especially on heroes, I find the large distances, the same old maps and missions, and the lack of powers boring and tedious. So I will either dual box powerlevel myself, sit in with a friend, or do the occasional TF. And I tend to do that at least until the mid 30s to 40s.
I see and hear lots of other people getting their initial levels quickly as well. It's not everybody by any means. But a lot of the folks who power play and supply the market do it that way.
Also: Not enough goats grazing in DA. -

Quote:I haven't heard from him in awhile, but I'll just guess that it was a small patch to fix one thing, which they tested, and it broke something(s) else, which was not tested. Then perhaps you could ask your bud how in the bluest of blue hells that last patch made it live.
It is practically impossible to test every mission, powerset, and every other little thing each patch. Unless you want to wait a year or more between patches.
