Baron Von Pistol, III - Traps/Dual Pistol -> 9 - 32
Pulgiacci - Rad/Energy Def -> 31 - 33
Only 17 total. I had a bunch of errands this weekend and wasn't feeling well so I went to bed early both Saturday and Sunday night. Even when I was on, I wasn't very efficient. -
I'm sorry to hear your Uncle got cancer.
I have had many people in my family die of cancer, including my aunt and my dad. If I could have done something to help cure them or extend their life, I would have without hesitation.
But it's a personal decision for everyone. Read up on it. Think about it. Make a decision. -
As with everything else in this game, having the team chomp on two or three purple inspirations will make it trivial.

Thanks, Stoney!
You are one of the members of this community that continues to impress me with their dedication to providing your time and talent for the rest of the group. -
I think a lot of people only have experience with the ITF versions of Shadow Cyst Crystals, and those are much weaker, toned down versions of the ones that spawn in missions with Kheldians on the team.
If that is your only experience with them, it is understandable for you to think that they are no big deal.
In regular missions, they are a significant threat. It's not an insurmountable roadblock, but it is something that needs to be identified quickly and eliminated before you get a room full of fluffy clouds.
I'm not sure why it spawned so many clouds in your picture before anyone was even close. Are you sure someone didn't try to superspeed or stealth by it before the rest of the team encountered it? -
I pre-ordered for DP, therefore you should do the same.

Woah! Welcome back, dude!
Much as I hate to admit it, I do miss the Bots. -
The value you get for your entertainment. I have spent many hours every week for over five years playing this game because I enjoy it and the other people who play it. If you divide the amount you pay by the number of hours you play, you won't find anything that gives you as much entertainment value for the money.

Quote:Dang. I was convinced from looking at the charts that the weighting went up in .5 increments. That would make just about all of them fit with very little deviation. Just about all of the drops shaded pink are right at or one drop away from a x.5 weight.Okay, according to Synapse the recipes are weighted either 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. No more, no less. So we either need a ridiculous amount of drops, or we stumbled into a code problem somewhere.
I would like to go back to the level 10-14 table. It's the one with the least number of recipes, so it needs the least number of drops to be accurate. I'd like everybody to refocus their efforts on the 10-14 range until either:
1) the numbers in the table start fitting a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 weight; in which case we'll have an idea of how many drops we need for the larger tables.
2) we have 10,000 drops in that table alone, and the numbers still don't fit; in which case we'll have a better case to present about this being a bug.
Test is still open, so I'll go spend a bunch of merits on 10-14 rolls now and see what I get. -
I'm enjoying the forum PvP much more than the "real" PvP.

The problem I always have with these discussions is the definition of "casual."
Is it a new player or one that has been here for 5 years? Is it a player who reads anything outside the game? Does the player belong to an SG? Does the player log 5 hours a week, a month, a year?
In my opinion, a casual player does not sweat the details, or worry about min/maxing. They just like to punch or shoot things every once in a while. Going with that definition, I think our mythical casual player would slot whatever dropped that worked for their character.
After the casual player has been around for awhile, they would be more concerned with "red" colored enhancers and would probably of heard of E.D. or at least gotten the advice not to slot more than 3 of any type of enhancer in a power.
I also think that the casual player would craft drops that he could and slot those, whether those are common or sets. I don't think that casual players actively go after set bonuses, but I could be wrong. I think that the casual player would see it as too much of a time investment to learn and plan and bid and build. -

I'm holding out for the Disney World M&G sometime this decade . . . . I hope.

Examples of villains becoming rogues, and then becoming heroes:
- Magneto - Super-Villain who has assisted the X-men on many occasions
- Deadpool - A crazy assassin for hire who sometimes works for the good guys
- Hawkeye - Originally an enemy of Iron Man who went on to become an Avenger
The public at large and their former enemies don't trust them at first, but they would rather have them on their side than against them. And some times enough trust is gained so that the past can be forgiven and forgotten.
There are also lots of popular stories where the government recruits bad guys to do things others are unable, or unwilling, to do. Eg. The Dirty Dozen, xXx, and the Thunderbolts. -

Yes, several betas ago Synapse told us that they were weighting the pools so that recipes that fit into many powers would come up more often than those that fit in few powers. So, for example, a melee damage set would drop more than a tohit debuff set.
The Rare Recipe Weight Project seems to have confirmed this.
Thread.

My take on it.
Quote:We've met the Praetorian Freedom Phalanx, but none of the Rogues. And there are a lot of other secondary characters we may encounter. What would a Praetorian TV or Radio be like? Is there a Praetorian Hero 1?Aside from the visuals, it’s an avenue for players to find out how the “mirror half” lives. Signature character characters that you have come to know in CoH/CoV, you’ll get to meet again for the first time in Praetoria. There are a lot of “details” that went into Praetoria that I think players will find interesting. And yes, I’m keeping it vague because it’ll be up to them to figure out what they are.
Quote:Essentially, “going rogue” is a process; it’s not a flip-a-switch decision. You make choices (via missions) that redirect your heroic (or villainous) path. But we didn’t want to make it too onerous or tedious, so we tried to keep things relatively simple. Quote:Those ways involve taking on missions that let you choose to take a morally questionable approach to handling the situation. If you continue choosing the morally ambiguous way of ‘saving the day’, you essentially move the pointer away from Hero and closer to Vigilante Quote:You can still do many of the missions associated with the Going Rogue system, and just not take the plunge and change your alignment when presented with that choice.
The "Going Rogue System" will entail much more than Praetoria. I am also venturing a guess that Praetoria, and perhaps a new villainous zone, will be co-op. Why? Villains can be heroic in RWZ and Cimerora. Where do heroes get to cross the line? I think it will be more than just Praetoria, or perhaps those two co-op zones will have new villainous missions.
I bolded "many" in the quote because that seems to indicate that there are at least some missions where you do have to make the choice and change alignment.
Quote:Having said that, if you just pick up and walk away from everything you’ve accomplished as a hero, there are consequences to your decisions. If you’ve made a name for yourself in the higher echelons of Paragon City, what makes you think you have any street cred in the Rogue Isles? You’ll have to establish yourself on the other side. -
Oooh! An epic troll on troll battle!
