Thanks BurningChick!
Anyone else other than BurningChick have any comments or suggestions? -
Quote:That doesn't help. That just allows me to make a couple of bucks off of respeccing but I still "have" to respec. I don't need extra funds.Buy a bunch of cheap IO enhancements that no one uses and sell them.
I know that I really don't have to respec if I don't want to. I could just keep my characters right where they are. And I probably will for many. But I don't want to feel like I'm not keeping up with my neighbors and fail to take advantage of 3 new power picks.
It's not a RAGEQUIT or even a rant. I'll cope and I'll end up enjoying the change, especially on new characters. But for those that I end up respeccing, it will be an annoyance to me. -
My only concern is that now I'll have to respec dozens of characters to take advantage of this new perk.
And I HATE respeccing! -

I have a 29 reactive resistance and a 36 harmonized heal/end.
My global is @bionic flea -

I like frankenslotting as I level up with whatever sets I get after level 22 or so. It's better than constantly buying SOs to keep them "fresh"
As I get the sets that I really want to put in either through drops or purchases (after level 30 or so), I'll replace the SOs first, then the lower tier set pieces I used to frankenslot. But sometimes a character will stay with the frankenslot if he's working well enough.
As to your request, I MAY have harmonized healing and/or reactive armor in the 20s. I'll have to check my bins.
I'm on Justice if you want to do a face to face exchange, otherwise it's e-mail or the market. -
I think stamina is a better place for it, but no harm in putting an extra one in AM (they aren't unique), especially if you are going for the set bonuses of perf. shifter.
But I wouldn't slot it until I had AM's recharge fully slotted. -
I think that Elec may be the best low level controller. The knockdown of Jolting Chain at level 6 really provides a lot of mitigation, even if the critters aren't contained.
By level 12 you get conductive aura and static field which provides noticeable endurance relief pre-stamina. The sleep patch lasts long enough that it doesn't take much to make it perma with DOs, allowing you to whittle away at minions and lts pretty safely.
Once you get into the higher levels, electric remains a good set, but I think the others might be better for fast moving teams. -
The master hit chance formula is:
HitChance = Clamp( AccMods × Clamp( BaseHitChance + ToHitMods – DefMods ) )
Hitchance = 1.33 [one SO] x (75 [even level critter] + 20 [rage] +2 [invincibility w/ 1 target in range])
75 + 20 puts you at the cap without accounting for invincibility or accuracy enhancements.
Hitchance = 1.33 x 95 [97 is clamped to 95 max]
Hitchance = 95 [126.35 clamped to 95 max]
You'll still be at the cap against +2 levels.
At +3 levels you will be at 93%. If you have more than one critter around you, then invincibilty will cap you again.
If you are going to be fighting +4 and greater, or enemies with extremely high defense, than more than one SO is worth it. -
DOH!
I don't know why I thought it was for last night.
Good luck! -
In my opinion, you have 2 too many endurance reductions slotted in Temp Invulnerability, Unyielding, Tough, and Weave. You are also over slotting attacks with accuracy and under slotting the attacks for damage.

Quote:Origin is only for flavor, what kind of SO you buy, and the minor origin power. The build would be exactly the same, just with Natural SOs.holy crap that's a lot of info. one minor problem with the two previous builds though... my character has a natural origin, not magic
Upthread I listed a link that had both Mids (the one I used) and another online one. The online one should work for you just fine. I'm not sure if there's a Mids for Macs, but I think there might be. -
My first character was Inv/SS. I also skipped powers that had negative consequences initially. Why would I want to hurt or debuff myself?
I later found out that I was thinking of them the wrong way. These powers are so good, so powerful, that the developers had to attach a penalty to them to make them balanced.
Rage gives you an 80% increase to damage for two minutes. For some perspective, 80% is a little more than 2 damage SO enhancers and a little less than 3. It also boosts tohit by 20%. Tohit is a factor the game uses to calculate your chance "to hit" an enemy, hence the name. It counts for a lot more than the accuracy you slot in powers.
Yes, it also has a crash at the end of 2 minutes that takes a large chuck of endurance, debuffs your defense by 20% for 10 seconds, and debuffs all your damage to anemic kitten levels for 10 seconds. The defense debuff can be eliminated by another activation of rage and you can activate it right after the crash if you put 3 recharge IOs into it (a couple of seconds shy with SOs).
Here's a sample build with SOs:

I've run a few TFs over the last few days with some electric characters and the sapping is really noticeable. Critters are left without a blue bar before their green bar is depleted. And that's pretty darn fast considering how quickly a good team can steamroll.
Even had a few Paragon Protectors unable to hit their tier 9 godmode because they had no endurance. That can really speed up a Manticore TF. -
Shafakoom - Claws/SR His gauntlets look like they could sheath blades in those cylinders going up his forearm.
Iprit - As soon as I saw the picture and you mentioned toxic, I thought spines. I think Dark Armor's wispy clouds could be toxins swirling around him. Soul transfer would count as his necromancy and maybe get a Loa Bone.
Duriel - Needs to be a flyer because of her wings and that always makes me lean towards a ranged character. Her emphasis on technology suggests traps or devices, but those are better suited for ground-based play. TA/A or A/TA would be a good marriage of the simple technology of bows augmented with the more advanced weaponry attached to the arrowheads. -
We met and lost a challenge from Opus a week or two ago. Trying to get back on a regular practice schedule, but everyone has real life hiccups that never occur at the same time.

Here's an odd build I just came up with for a Sonic/Ice Tank Mage:
He has capped smash/lethal resistance, 41.1 defense to range, mez resistance, and significant resistance and defense to all other types.
He can destroy large spawns with Liquefy + Ice Storm + Blizzard. God help any mobs that have been herded by a tank if you hit Soul Drain and Aim before that combo.
He has three single target holds and liquefy for an impressive Mag 9 sustained hold with 3 chances to get an extra +2 mag from lockdown. His three single target attacks are fast to animate and make an easy chain.
If you switch combat jump and SJ for hover and fly I think you could solo some AVs with this. But this is a solo build. It has none of the ally shields.
